This is the 2nd time my family has used A Lasting Tale and we have been very happy with the outcome.
The first was a personalised interview with my Mother in law with early-stage dementia. She really enjoyed the interview experience; the questions were tailored to her life and the end result is a treasured memory of her life.
The 2nd was a difficult situation where my cousin was close to death and unable to be interviewed. The team created a detailed list of questions which helped create the content for his brother to interview him with. The end result is 5 hours of recorded voice that my cousin's son will be able listen to when he is old enough. Without Dim and the teams support, we would never have been able to have this recording of who my cousin was.

Comm’s were thoughtful, timely and useful and made the decision to use ALT easy. The winner for me was the choice of interviewer and their bio/experience which made M&D feel like they knew something of Susan even before she called them

I was interviewed by a professional media lady that asked all the right questions to get the best recollections of my personal journey in my own words for my great grandchildren to listen to. I was shocked how many memories came back to me that i wished to share. The finished product is 6 x chapters of approximately 25min telling my life story in my own words with my own love and advice aimed at important members of my future family i will never meet. My current children and grandchildren have been blown away by how many stories they didn't know and to hear them in my voice is so special. If you get the chance and can afford it you will not have regrets only pride. I love listening to myself and pretending im a great grandson/daughter listening for the first time. Wow!!!!

All my dealings with Dimity were very personable and she worked hard to accommodate the appointment with my father who lived a considerable distance from her. The little recording snippets in an email were wonderful as well as the gift boxes with the USB. A Lasting Tale is a thoughtful experience I would recommend for every family

Dimity was incredibly accommodating and worked with us to develop a custom package for our sick family member. She endured several changed appointments and other inconviences and never asked for additional fees. Overall a great experience and I highly recommend completing this while your family members are still in good health if possible.

A lasting tale
The stimulus to doing my interview is that I’m now the eldest of my family. The Lasting Tale process went very well. There was enough information to plan the interview. Plan what I wanted to record. The interviewer made it enjoyable. The end product of an interview is on a USB stick. Plus a website and my computer. The USB stick is now in my document box to be passed on when I die.
There are always the issues of listening to your own voice and thinking is that what I sound like?
There was the satisfaction of - I have done what I can for family memories.
My mother has one surviving and very much younger sibling and I recommend he record his storey. And he has.
So all up very satisfying, easy to do and worth it process.

Not only was the final recording full of great old memories, but my parents also thoroughly enjoy the process of recalling memories of friends, family, places and events in their life. A Lasting Tale went all out to have the gift certificate arrive on the day of 60th their Wedding Anniversary, the celebrations lasted for weeks from receiving the Gift Certificate to pulling out photos albums and pondering over the many memories leading up to sharing their stories for the recording interview day which they thoroughly enjoyed, and then to sit back and enjoy listening to their very own personal podcast love story for the years to come.

My interview with Dimity was so professional
Although it’s a very personal narrative I felt I was sharing with a friend- delighted I did it.

Dimity was the best and dealt with my elderly parents as if they were her own.

I got recommended this service from a friend, and while sadly we have been unable to purchase something I want to commend the communication, customer service and respect that I have recieved during this time. I contacted them shortly before Christmas - on a weekend- asking questions and got a call back within the hour. Dimity was friendly, respectful and able to answer all my questions clearly. I was confident that should we go forward with this, it would be done in a considerate manner. She also provided time and space, and when we sadly determined it would not be a feasible option was respectful of that.

I was also impressed by her immediate apology regarding an automated email asking for a review - obviously I was happy to provide one, but the fact that she apologised for that is beyond the customer service I normally receive. If you are uncertain about this, I strongly encourage you to at least reach out.

The extended family have absolutely loved the final product. Everyone has enjoyed, laughed and shed a few tears on listening to the responses form our Mum, Grandma and Great Grandma.
