I had a confirmed reservation with Alamo (Luxembourg Airport), fully booked and paid online in advance. When I arrived with my passport and all necessary documents, they refused to hand over the car because they would not accept my official Norwegian digital driver’s license, even though it is fully valid in Norway.

Instead of helping, they offered to transfer the booking to another person – but only at 2.5 times the original price. This was completely unreasonable and unacceptable.

Poor service, lack of flexibility, and no willingness to honor a valid reservation. I strongly advise others to be very careful before booking here.

Under no circumstances should you consider using the company at Luxembourg Airport. The staff are extremely rude and the customer service is abysmal. I strongly recommend renting from Hertz, Europcar, or Sixth instead. It was the worst experience I had with a car rental company in my life.

On the half way of my trip, the AdBlue was empty. I had to fill it up, because the engine would not start. After i gave back the car (key safe - it was Sunday evening, nobody was working) i complained about that and wanted the money for the AdBlue. The company told me, because i didn´t complained, when i gave the car back, they will not give me the money. But how i could complain, if nobody have been there.
I will not take a car from Alamo again.
Also there was not help from the broker "Car del Mar".....never again!
