Never again with air transat paid a flight ticket for my toy dog and because one person from the checking counter decided that he thinks my dog would not be comfortable in his carrier for a 3 hour flight he was denied on board which ruined my vacation and caused anxiety and excessive stress for us both. Beware of this airline cause they are not trustworthy to their paid passengers.

Chose English as the language. Forced into French. Seat selection didn't work on Chrome, Chrome Incognito, Safari, and Firefox. Had to stay on the phone for 30 mins to get someone to choose my seats.
No respect, nor empathy for customers. Avoid them like the plague.
Air Transat left my wife and I stranded in Lisbon after changing the return inbound flight schedule to Montreal Canada at the last minute, with no prior warning, Even though we got to the gate with the jet bridge still attached to the plane, we were still denied boarding by a very rude male employee and the pilot himself- who forget and ignore who puts the food on their table.Thus, basically this is a case where the merchant did not provide a service/product and kept the money charged to us for themselves. This amounts to theft. If they feel good about it, then they are basically licensed criminals, in which case their license should be taken away from them by the competent authorities. I wrote to them regarding this and still have not heard back from them. Therefore, in the future never again will we book a flight with this excuse of an airline. There are many other better choices out there. Plus they have neither respect, nor empathy for customers, thus I do not recommend.

If I could give them 0 I would! They left my mom stranded in Mexico and forced her to pay out of pocket for a night at the all inclusive we booked at (even though EVERYTHING was prepaid before we left). They promised a refund and 4 months later and multiple calls and emails they have not responded and no refund!! So angry at their poor customer service. PLEASE CONSIDER A DIFFERENT COMPANY!

I travel with Transat on average 4 times a year because I live in the UK and have a close relative who is very ill in Canada. This time, despite trying both the Transat website and the Transat app, and attempting to check in online, I have not been able to select a seat (within 24 hours of departure time). Apparently my check in failed (I tried again) and I must now sort everything out at the airport. It is incredibly annoying not to be able to select a seat. I am a huge Transat customer, (at least 12 flights in the past 3 years), and the person I spoke to on the phone did not care, and could not help, could not even escalate my issue to her manager. "Computer says no" response is not good enough. There is a lot of competition out there, you need to do better than this Transat.

Once upon a time they were great...
I booked tickets for my elderly parents from Montreal to Fort Lauderdale. I also purchased premium seats in advance to ensure they are comfortable. Less than 2 hours later, we receive an email from Transat saying the plane had been changed and that they could not offer the same seats. Since we were within the 24 hour buyer's remorse window, we decided to cancel the flight and book another day... The agent stated there would be a $400 penalty to do so... I'm sorry, but what? Canadian law CLEARLY states that a flight can be cancelled within 24 hours with no penalty. Granted the agent was somewhat of a moron, it still does not excuse this. My parents are not interested in fighting with them, so they will take the flight, but it is the last time they, myself or anyone in my family fly with this airline.
They Didnt Have to Do Anything but Did!
They took good care of my wife and I when we were stranded in the Dominican Republic due to the family weekend snowstorm 2025 back in Toronto. The delay was well over 15 hours, time we could have spent at the airport. Air Transat, took us to the airport and within minutes informed us, then proceeded to take all of the two buses to the Marien Resort to spend that delay in the comfort of another 5 star resort complete with all their amenities for the day. This delay WAS weather related. Therefore, AT didnt have to do a thing....yet they did. We are greatful to all involved. I have no complaints about the flights, onboard experience and app interface. All went smooth. WE will continue to choose them when we fly in the future.
Air Transat in support of taxi scam arrangement
Air Transat did not come through with my transfer from the airport to the hotel. I couldn't find the air transat rep as my plane was late. I didn't see a bus or shuttle for me. Then, I got scammed by the Mexican Taxi hustle to get into a $300 cab fare. Air Transat blamed me for being late. It's my fault - Rude customer service, no-show support. I am disappointed
Excelent In-Flight Service
We've been flying with AT for a long time and we are shocked to see so many reviews not aligning with our own personal experience with AT. We flew back from Cayo Coco to Canada last weekend on Flight TS857 and let me tell you our experience was nothing short of excellent. Andrea, a flight attendant, took care of us in such a lovely and caring way that my wife and I had one of our best in-flight experience. Thank you Andrea for making our flight an experience on its own. Hope we will see you next time.
Air Transat left me behind
Thank you #aircanadavacations for doing the job #airtransat chose NOT to do, which was getting me to the airport to catch my flight.
I arrived 5 minutes early to bellhop station at the Grand Sirenis and was with Mario the bellhop to catch my transport that was due to leave at 10:05.
There was one van, and I was asked if my name was one that was not mine for a group of 4. I told the driver my name and he waved me off. Seems this might have been the transport for #airtransat but my name was NOT on the list.
I went to see the Air Transat rep Francisca Sanchez Bonilla after Mario the bell hop had gone down concerned for me, and the rep who claimed she had just been up in the lobby, but could not confirm that the transport had come until she called. She then told me I missed it because I was not there and when I asked if my name was on the list she waved me off and said that was not the point. She told me it was my fault and I had to take a taxi, and that I had not gone to her Welcome Meeting due to being ill, even though the info is on the Air Transat app.
She did not offer to call me the taxi and told me that she will fill a complaint that I was not there when I said it was Air Transats responsibility to get me to the airport.
Thankfully Air Canada stepped in to do her job, and let me in their transport and made sure I got to the airport.
Thank you Carlos the Bell Boy and Air Canada, and shame on you Francisca & Air Transat. I certainly will never fly with you again and hope many others will go to AC over you.

Transat Customer service is VERY POOR
I booked a flight with air transat with the full refund option. A few weeks later I called to cancel the flight and was promised by the agent that I would get a full refund within 7 to 10 bus days. I waited and No refund was issued. I called again and after a long wait I was finally told that the refund was NOT issued and that I must wait another 10 to 15 bus days. I asked them to please speed up the process but they refused saying that their "procedures" dont allow this. This is awful customer service and should not be allowed.

WORST company flight was delayed when landed spent 1hour sitting in the plane once off the plane and out the airport on ground Air Transat agents told us the bus is coming we waited 3 hours stranded outside with no bus out front and only lies from the ground agents after multiple arguments we were told there is no bus coming and we need to take a taxi with personal money that will be refunded if we keep the receipt and call, after another 30 mins a small bus finally arrived to drop us off at our resort at 1 am. Now leaving today and I called twice to make the sure we have a bus and that it will be on time but of course Air Transat disappoints with another 30 min delay. Thank you to the worst travel agency
Absolute terrible customer service
Absolute terrible customer service, can't get through the phone system. Nothing but AI agents. Got through on chat, but agent left me without reply for three minutes. They said there would be an agent at hotel, but there wasn't. Even Air Canada has better customer service than Air Transat. and we all know how bad Air Canada is. Can't really book again without better customer service that I got.

Ticket was purchased on a wrong date. slow, uneven customer service experience! if people did a mistake with the first 24 hour just make their life easy, refund their ticket right away and set them freee !!!!!! even if purchased throw 3rd party. what's with all the nonsense !
Very poor customer service
I inadvertently booked a PM flight instead of an AM one. I immediately called them to see if they could switch it and they bluntly told me NO and that I had purchased the economy ticket with no change or cancelation.
I then had to buy a one way ticket for the AM flight (this was for both me and my wife).
They ended up canceling the PM flight and moved everyone to the AM one.
Now I have two AM tickets go me and my wife.
I called again to see if they could at least give me a credit for one of them and they told me to contact customer relations, which I did three weeks ago and still have not received a response.
When you try to call the 1-877 number and select customer relations, you could never get a live voice
I guess, going forward for my retirement years, I will be booking with other airlines.
