When I joined Airtime rewards, many years ago, I purchased gift cards. If I purchased so many per month then I would accumulate a bonus. Now gift cards do not count towards that bonus, which is very... See more

The app seems to have lost a lot of it's supported networks. They now allow you to withdraw to cash (they used to do this with gift cards anyway but it is marketed as a new feature by the support team), except they charge 13% which is well above the rate of cashback they offer most of the time, making using them slightly nonsensical.

Honestly don’t understand why people give less than 5 stars. You get money for shopping…and can use it to reduce your phone bill. What’s not to love?

I absolutely love airtime, just purchase things on your bank card and sit back and watch your phone bill go down, brilliant.

An excellent way to reduce your mobile phone bill without thinking about it. It's surprising how the credit savings can add up with normal credit card spending with the partner retailers. Highly recommend. Keep adding more retailers Airtime!

Brilliant. Earning lots of points which equates to lots of pounds off my mobile phone.

Easy to use the site and excellent choices of retailers.
Rewards are quickly collected.

Airtime used to be one of my favourite apps.
Because of the way that you register your payment cards with them, transactions rarely failed to track and there were plenty of bonus cashback offers to help you out.
6 months ago, i would have given this app 5 stars.
Today, i've given it 3 stars.
That's because Airtime have reduced the % cashback on nearly all the stores that i used to shop at.
Gift cards no longer count towards bonus cashback offers, and their % cashback has also been reduced, especially on the gift cards i've used the most.
In the last 6 months, i've also had 5 purchases not track, 4 with the same company, from a targeted promotion sent to me.

Update 3: 20th April......got a message from EE reminding me that I can use my Airtime rewards to go towards paying my next bill. I replied to EE informing them that my account has been closed by Airtime with all my rewards still in it!!!
Update 2: 9th March......still nothing. I suppose that's my money gone then?!
Update: Airtime have still NOT got back to me as of 2nd March despite me providing them AND Trustpilot of all my account details - they tried to take down my review as not genuine.....until I provided all the documentation to prove otherwise!!!
Absolute joke of a company.
I've been using Airtime since last year and used my rewards to go towards my EE bill - usually about £50-£60 per month.
A couple of months ago they limited my redemption to only £20 per month with no reason given!
I had about £170 in rewards sitting in the account. When I complained and they gave me the option of closing my account they said it would take 30 days to do so.
Received an email yesterday to say that they closed it at my request via their online form and therefore I'd forfeited all my rewards!!!!
You cannot phone them and their online forms are deliberately obtuse. Their emails also go straight to your junk mail so you miss them and then they mark the issue as resolved because you didn't reply to them in time!!
These people are basically scam artists at this point. God only knows how much money they're making off the backs of all these partnerships they have with the big brands.
And, more worryingly, they have all your bank details too - not just the account information you hold with your mobile phone provider.
Do not use this company. If there was someone I could report them to I would but the best that I can do is to let EE know and maybe they might consider severing ties with such a shady outfit!

Used to be brilliant, now it takes forever to actually earn any money, and when you do want to withdraw it they charge £1.30 to withdraw £10! On top of that I withdrew it 6 days ago and no sign of the money whatsoever! Won’t bother updating my cards when they expire.
Update (29th December) - STILL no sign of my £8.70 I redeemed on 18th December! Absolutely useless!
Update (1st January) - STILL no sign, absolute SCAM company. Have removed my cards and bank accounts as I don’t trust them with my information. THIEVES. They apparently ‘understand’ my frustration and offered to send the money via PayPal, but after sending them my PayPal email address there is still no sign of it.
Update - 8/1/26 - FINALLY I have my money, and to be fair to Airtime, they waived the £1.30 fee and credited me the full £10. But how ridiculous to take so long in the first place (3 weeks).

For every £10 accrued you charge me £1.30 commission.

I have £17.60 in my account and they want to charge me £8.70 to transfer it to my bank. I have no option because my network isn't supported but once it's done, I'll uninstall the app. Waste of time

Been with airtime nearly 2years now, it started all good but recently it’s ALL gone down hill since ❌ 1st it seems that most of my transactions does NOT get tracked, so usually you have to wait 14 days before you can log “missing transactions “ but airtime has recently moved the goal post ever further now and wait till 30 days after the transaction! Which is ridiculous, as the tech you mentioned says this should be tracked easily! 👎🏼 and the 2nd point I like to make and the most disappointing aspect of using airtime is that customer support is nonexistent ❌ have raised numerous complaints and issues with your customer support team but get an generic email stating that you “aim to reply within 4 working days” that is totally misleading and a joke!!! Even after 14,21 or even 30 working days!!! I am still waiting for a response regarding my missing transactions!!! At the time of writing this review, it has been over 7 weeks since I’ve raised my missing transactions but still no one has looked into this or an response regarding the delay ❌ hope the CEO of airtime is reading this 👀

When I first joined three years ago to the month (via a recommendation from a friend), only two retailers were relevant to me but both were slow earners (1 % of total amount). Eventually these two retailers were no longer partners so my lifetime earning rewards from December 2022 to present day is only £13.77. Still better than nothing, I thought...
Therefore, when I got emails about redeeming my rewards for my December phone bill of £11.50, I thought, "why not!" This would mean an extra £11.50 in my pocket for Christmas spending. However, my phone bill had already been generated by my provider around 24 November with the money to be taken out on 2 December. Therefore, the redemption I made at the end of November would not be applied to December's bill. When I became aware of this, I decided to cancel the redemption since it no longer facilitated what I needed from it and continue accruing rewards (especially since only £10 would've been applied to my phone bill anyway rather than the full amount as with Airtime Up, you can only redeem at £5 increments). So, continue saving until I can redeem £15 and have my whole bill covered.
However, this is apparently not possible for Airtime — they are unable to cancel an unused voucher and return the rewards to your account. I found this odd as any other retailer can cancel a voucher/transaction and either refund you or provide a future voucher. It still baffles me to this day that they're unable to refund an unused voucher.
In the three years I've been using it, I'm merely at £13.77 which only means my retailers of choice aren't as represented on the platform (one of the two retailers I shopped at when I first joined has since been reinstated) so for me it will probably take another 3 years to amass the amount needed for my monthly bill, if I'm still on the platform. For now I am continuing with them...
I know the amount at play here is considerably low so pretty much insignificant; however, for me it's the principle that in 2025 a company cannot refund an unused voucher. I recently travelled on holiday this month and was able to received a full refund for unused airport parking that I cancelled the night before: I was due to park at the airport on Wed 10 Dec at 08:00 and I cancelled it on Tue 9 Dec at 19:45 — 12 hours prior — and received a full refund.

A good idea but Scotland seems to be lacking in local retailers that give rewards. Also I notice that retailers disappear regularly especially ones I use often. Gift vouchers also aren’t consistent for purchase.
It is easy to use and gives a decent discount on phone bills but more for Scotland please.

Great company, all purchases have tracked quickly. Had over £160 paid off my phone bill for places I use all the time - very impressed
