Had To Re Locate my mother at short notice from another County. Staff at Cheriton were warm and friendly and have made the transition from one care home to another straightforward and stress free as well as very nice accommodation for my mother.
So thank you...

Mum had been in hospital for 2 months and was bedridden. The care plan was to provide a live in carer the help roll mum so her pad could be changed every 4 hours.
The first carer told me she had a bad back so it was painful to do her job.
The second one suffered from panic attacks so only stayed one night. The third only stayed one night but did clean the sink. The fourth was really good and a good rapport with mum.
I found myself helping to turn mum twice for pad changes.
The lady at the office in Guildford was very good and caring and the manager from the office in portland was understanding.

I'm happy with the care they give my mum but I do have a small dislike on Christmas the grandkids bought her a lovely winnie the pooh nightie and on boxing day it had gone from the drawer never worn and never found then I replace it put her name and room number on it again never worn and gone from the drawer and still not returned there seems to be a thing with the laundry if it's not dirty there is no need to take it to the laundry if that's where its gone but the staff there are all great with mum but I'm concerned that someone is going in her room and taking that specific nightie it wasn't cheap it was from her grandkids so we are all a bit upset by this I also have found at times yogurt pots on floor that I cleaned up and empty pot in her bed with spoons and odd occasion she uncovered she does tend to play with her covers as of her dementia so does need checking on

Rooms and equipment need to be checked that everything is working prior to resident moving in. My Mother was in for 4 days before I realised her call bell hadn’t been connected in all that time !! No one gave her a shower in the 4 days she was there and she was also told to lock her door as a male resident kept wandering into her room. The carers were all lovely but seemed short staffed.

I have been with Agincare since 2018 I was with central branch then moved to the North branch no disrespect to central but in my opinion the North branch is by far the best Karen Harding runs that office singled handed and I can't fault her she has supported me and it is heart felt not because she has to as a manager I can talk to her about anything at any time the North is lucky to have her!!!

We felt the assessor understood and listened to my Mother and to us. And there was quick response regarding a live-in carer at short notice. We wait and see.

I found the care home friendly and welcoming and it felt very homely and I was pleased to place my elderly father there for his care. It was a speedy efficient service. My father is settling in well and I would not hesitate to recommend Agincare to anyone else looking for a placement.

We recently moved my mother in law to an Agincare home, St Peter's Park in Bexhill on Sea. The home itself is very good and the advice we received from Ben Paice was excellent throughout. The whole process from seeing the home and choosing her room right through to my mother in law arriving, was extremely smooth and easy. The home is efficiently run, the staff kind and caring and the facilities are very comfortable. My mother in law is very happy there and we are relieved to have her being well cared for. Highly recommend.

My Mum was placed in here for rest bite due to her Alzheimer's via social services. This was supposed to be a secure facility giving family members like me peace of mind.
However, Mum managed to walk out of the building on a couple of occasion undetected and luckily returning to her home. On one occasion the home contacted the police to remove her from her home.
I found the staff very unprofessional; I observed them leaving doors on the latch give residents access to such areas as the kitchen.
At one point they accused my farther of giving my Mum the code to the front door, this dumfounded me as she has Alzheimer's and would never remember. This really upset my Farther and it was at this point he wanted her moving to another home.

Trust me I'd remove this one star if I could. If you want the best for your loved one DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I cannot put into speech how appalling and incompetent they are. The thought that our local council is actually paying them to care within our community gives me goose bumps. I feel sick and extremely sad right now! When we've reached the bottom of their galactic errors I'll give a more detailed reasons as to why this company needs shutting down ASAP!

Had to find a care home for my aunt. Agincare were very helpful on the phone (as i live 200 away). They emailed me everything and kept me informed either by phone or email. When my aunt went into the care home, the care home phone me to say she had arrived and has settled in well.

I felt compelled to write this review as I'm absolutely appalled at the so called care my 97 year old father has recently received. I visited my father for the week and during that time we had carers turn up late *twice in one day), medication missed, (one being an important antibiotic due to a chest infection), medication not signed off, conveen being fitted incorrectly (several times) thus causing my poor father to being wet and having to get my father up during the early hours of the morning to strip bed and change pyjamas, and the list goes on. So, I do not recommend this "care" company at all. Beware if you are considering this company.

Hi Mum has entered Trafalgar Care where I know she will be well looked after as Dad was there and well cared for. She has Dementia which is sadly getting worse but the kind Care and Nursing she will receive will make things better for her

Staff were very welcoming to both my parents on arrival, on different days at the care home. A cup of tea for us all would have been good however.
My father is very poorly. When I visited him yesterday afternoon he didn't seem to be attended by any care staff. Also as he had COVID I would like to have been able to open the windows for my own protection. My mother has been a resident for 11 days but doesn't seem to have had a shower or hair wash. Her skin seemed to be lacking the daily application of prescribed cream. A small niggle that all her washed clothes were stuffed together in one drawer.

From the very first contact Aaron and all the team at Agincare have been extremely kind, caring, professional and responsive. They provided live-in carers for my late mother. Whilst we all know that care of this type is costly, frankly we should have done it sooner. Agincare vastly improved the quality of life for mum in her last few months. Their quality of provision was more than I could have hoped for. I highly and unreservedly recommend their services.
