Fantastic service

I ordered a Jellycat keyring from After Noah on Wednesday morning and it was delivered by Thursday afternoon.
Absolutely cannot fault the item or service at all.
Thank you!

Impeccable customer service

We agree with a previous review about Flossie; her customer service is second to none! We have experienced an ongoing issue since July 2023, being supplied with 6 sofas from G Plan which were all defective and the team at After Noah went way above and beyond what we would have expected, supporting us all the way and fighting our corner. The shopping experience in their lovely store was excellent and we were updated regularly with the status of our order. They were also consistently competitive in price. It's just a shame that G Plan let us all down in the end! You can confidently shop with After Noah in the knowledge that you will be properly looked after.

Sofa shopping

Flossie is an amazing sales person. They helped us to find the right sofa and guided us every step of the way. After Noah has a huge assortment of different items ranging from toys to furniture, always carefully selected and imaginatively displayed.

Swyft sofabed, interesting range of home furnishings and great after sales service

We ordered a Swyft sofabed from After Noah having visited the store as we did not want to risk ordering on line without trying first and we are absolutely delighted with it. There was a slight delivery scheduling problem with Swyft which After Noah resolved quickly in time for the arrival of our guests! Thank you, Flossie. After Noah has a delightful range of home furnishings, a good mix of new and vintage, and we returned to buy a nest of tables also.

Bizarrely rude staff.

The staff in this shop are bizarrely rude, especially if you legitimately want to return something. Mathew in particular should work on his customer service skills - he’s a strange and bitter man who would probably benefit from therapy and a good cry about his childhood.

Horrible response to poor review

This is a lovely shop with beautiful toys, trinkets and furniture. I bought some Lego and a sweet little duck yesterday. I've shopped here many times without complaint, I have a mirror, shelving and have bought Maileg mice, clothing and accessories, my keyring is a pewter sausage dog from here, lots of cards, ornaments, Lego and Playmobil gifts.

Yesterday, the assistants were grudgingly helpful, the person who served me looked like she hates her job, she told me should would have to check whether she could sell the duck due to it being in a window display.

I was also surprised by the price of a small paper bag. 50p - didn't check if I was happy to pay that amount. A few words from the assistant would have explained that these are charity bags. I left a review on another site and the reply from the owner was that this is explained on the receipt, he couldn't have known that the assistant asked me if I needed the receipt and I declined. Matthew also went into a long charity shaming spiel in an attempt to embarrass me.

His response only confirms my view that this is a very middle class shop with a sniffy attitude to customers. Rather than accepting criticism or trying to engage with me, he tried to make me look foolish because I hadn't read a receipt that THEY didn't give to me.

He also denied that the person serving me was not welcoming, friendly or interested in scanning my items. She wasn't dreadful, she definitely was disinterested. Both the assistants were more focused in unboxing a large delivery of Lego than taking my money.

Again Matthew was defensive in his response, singing the praises of this person and implying I am difficult by referring to the "hundreds of positive reviews they have". Matthew needs to realise that I was there, he wasn't so I'm completely uninterested in his conjecture about the interaction.

I've also seen Matthew's responses to the less favourable reviews and each one is defensive. It's such a shame that as the business owner he has no interest in learning from unhappy customers. I would have been happy to shop there again if the response had been helpful but I'm afraid the arrogant, berating tone in Matthew's reply will ensure that I never shop there again.

When using this business consider whether they will help you if you have an issue, or, whether they are likely to be unhelpful. I'd think it's likely to be the latter due to the reviews on other sites and the owner responses. With independent shops, I expect better.
