Poorly run…feels unwelcoming
We bought annual passes for Adventure Island (£50 each) — one for myself, my 6-year-old, and my 1-year-old (so his mum can go on rides with him). Unfortunately, every time we visit, half the attractions seem to be closed. Funny enough, the extra-cost attractions are never closed for maintenance — they’re always up and running first!
Today we turned up again to find the same issue. They gave us a “kids eat free” voucher, which sounded nice, until we found out it’s only one per child — so why didn’t we get two, since we have two children’s annual passes? It’s not even about the money, it’s the principle.
Last time we came, they closed early (5pm) during half term, supposedly because of “bad weather” — but it was dry, calm, and perfectly fine. Makes you wonder what happens when it actually rains or gets windy!
Honestly, starting to think these passes aren’t worth it. There’s a reason they’re so cheap — and sadly, it’s showing.

Don't waste your money !!
Don't waste your money .
Poor visit, qued up and no height restrictions up..( Not on your swings)
So wasted our time queuing up, and one disappointed child.
Then went to get food, the Dino cafe..wasn't opened but no sign.
But staff sat at the table and said nothing..( logged an complaint- Kayleigh so called manageress - didn't fulfill the complaint !!)
Useless - Dont waste your money !!
Drive an hour and half, for three rides..
Willnt be buying an annual pass again

Absolutely shocking service
Absolutely shocking service. Refused to sell us careers tickets although we shared all relevant documents. Refused to get a manager. Refused to give us her name so we could complain. We still don’t know her name now as other members of staff were clearly not willing to give it up. Then tried her best to hide her face so we could not get a photo for our complaint and got very verbal. Absolutely shocking. Should not be working with the public or even out loose in. Called security on “us” surprisingly even though we were not loud, rude or aggressive…. Security was very nice. We ended up getting serviced off a different member or staff and had an ok day.
I can noticed the park pick and choose what reviews they respond too. And do not take accountability publicly for any wrong doing or room for improvement and when on scene speaking to people makes you wonder if the majority of these ‘good reviews’ are actually left by ‘friends’ and ‘family’ from staff etc or generally members of the public.
Rides are shorts. Tickets prices are high. Dirty areas, unmaintained aesthetics. If you have the means of transport you’d be better off and Thorpe park or chesington but if the sea side is what your after lucky for them there’s no competition in the local area something I guess they thrive off.
Looking back at the photos and having a good inspection….. I’m guessing her name is Georgia. What do you think?
I’ve emailed the park. Let’s see what they come back with.
no discounts for carers or the disabled
Did not like the fact that as a child with Autism carrying disability proof we had to pay full price when he could not go on half of the rides and his carer (grandad) had to also pay nearly over £8 to accompany him on the rides. Thorpe Park and all of those in the Merlin Group do not charge carers according to my research
A Good Day Out!
A good family day out. Lots of good variety of rides. The only downfall at times were the extremely slow loading from staff who were far too chatty with guest, or guest complaining they had pulled their lap bar too tight, having to completely reset the ride.

KIDS NOT SAFE HERE
Staff lady letting kids out aged 5 and 7 alone without an adult amd telling them bye. Then when confronted by worried parent told they didn't see amd were distracted. So lying also. Ghe place is a shame. Refused to give me womens name for the complaint and the team leader said she didn't know her name. I'd stay away from there with your children. And they do not reply to emails jsut decide when they want to blank something

NOT DISABLED FRIENDLY!!!
NOT DISABLED FRIENDLY!!!
We visited the island last year with my autistic son. They issue wrist bands to which my son would not allow on his wrist so I had it on as the adult going on every ride with him. One teenager worker told me we could not go on the ride unless he has it on and called security on us. Luckily the security understood, realised the park does nothing for disabled children in this case and allowed us to continue our day, dispute the workers ratty attitude, we had a good day. We visited again this year and my son is now comfortable wearing wrist bands - however the park does a non-queue process for children who can’t wait and have accessible needs. You go to the back of the queue and they give you a time to return! Great! HOWEVER, when trying to return to go on a ride, we noticed another family being escorted away who had an autistic child and the security telling them “your son is too disruptive!” The same nasty attitude and lack of training we experienced last year - all by the teenage workers!! When we had our turn to go on the ride 45minutes as that’s how long we had till we returned, we then was told to wait another 10 minutes while the worker allowed the coaster to go round another 3 times before allowing us on!! This caused my son to be upset as he had to wait and if you have an autistic child you know how hard this can be for them.
The staff are so u trained, despite age - this all falls down to training and customer care to which the park has none and are so inconsiderate to children with disabilities. Awful experience and the most unfriendly staff I’ve come across in a long time!

Pure filth
Adventure inside was absolutely disgusting. The filth inside that place made me feel like my children were going to come out with diseases. The toilets were shocking, with soaking wet floors and dirt that made you feel sick just looking at it. When I asked a member of staff to clean the floor before my daughter went inside she said she's been busy clearing up sick. Half hour later, still not cleaned. When I went back to said member of staff to say how dirty the place was she replied very sarcastically " thank you". Will never be using the soft play again! Look on Google reviews for photos.

Kacey
Kacey, Rude and disgusting woman. Sad to know at mid 20’s this is her top tier job LOL. Heard and seen slagging off a young 16 year old lad “useless” and “pointless in hiring”. I overheard this. How sad can she be. Her customer service was appalling and the younger ones and more trained and well mannered. Rude and needs to be sacked in my opinion. If he was that bad she should talk to him personally not to other people in the open and infront of customers.
Customer service and a seal plush
Although the park felt emptier than years before when i visited, it was still a fun day. But the reason for 5 stars, is because in the gift shop, were 2 amazing staff members. Both ladies were very friendly and made my family laugh with good jokes. I bought a seal plush, and whilst at the register, both ladies were behind the counter. I joked a about having a plushie problem ( because i buy many), to which the ladies both agreed it's not a problem, its the solution. They also asked what I'd name my seal plush, which i thought was a great and friendly service. I can't remember the names of these 2 ladies, but they were lovely people to talk to.

Had a great time here me and my family loved it so much there's too much to do we ran out of time and will be hoping to go back eventually my only issue is the stalls and stands charging so much for drinks especially water it was day light robbery we took our own but ran out due to the heat 2.00 pounds for a tiny bottle of water and 3.50 for a small Coke we burned through over 30 pounds for drinks it was so hot apart from that it was good just cost us a fortune to go as we don't drive and I suffer with fibromyalgia so I'm in absolute agony now my kids have chronic fatigue so they are now in agony but it was an amazing day and looking forward to seeing the place again I hope we get to experience the train on the pier this time I do wish we didn't have to pay extra for the sea life thou couldn't afford to go to either in the end because of how extortionate the drinks were .

I am still awaiting a refund of my admission 2 months after I had a serious fall, due to the negligence of a member of staff leaving a large parasol amongst the seating area, which I fell over against. I have repeatedly contacted them and they are refusing to do anything about this accident or call me to refund. It appears they are not interested in their customer safety so I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND GOING AS WHO KNOWS WHAT ELSE IS UNSAFE
Disappoint Kids on Purpose - We are annual pass holders
We are annual pass holders. Family have worked there. Today two little children were so disappointed when the awful person ( under 18 the Supervisir said) told the kids who were first in line to wait for the next ride as they always do the carousel spinner before leaving and 2 other children had run in front of them into it. The rude didn’t begin. The awful person walked over and pushed the start button turned to the kiddies waiting as they had been asked to for the next ride and said ‘ this is the last ride now’. The kids faces, unbelievable. It was way before the close time!!! I spoke to her, the supervisor who said’ I ll deal with her, it’s not the first time….bless you, ah bless you’ patronising tone and no offer of anything genuine eg:a drink or points or ice cream for the kiddies. Shame on you Adventure Island you’ve some terrible customer service and staff that do not give a flying fish and chips about good service! P.S. Coffee was undrinkable and 4 were paid for and returned undrunk yuk.
