I subscribed to Adaptive.ai expecting to build a basic AI-powered app using their advertised 500 monthly credits. I created a very simple app, made no significant edits, and yet within 2 days, the platform claimed I had used over 700 credits – eventually rising to 1500+.
I didn’t receive any real-time warnings or detailed breakdowns of usage. The support team told me to “ask the app itself” why it consumed so much. That’s not helpful, especially for a platform meant to help non-technical users.
What’s worse is the sudden push to upgrade to a $100/month plan – without any transparency or justification for the overuse. This experience felt dishonest and disappointing.
Be cautious before subscribing. There’s a serious lack of clarity and accountability in how credits are consumed.
