Sponsored a couple of very young children seemed authentic at first then drawings they allegedly drew came through and a toddler’s scribble rivalled a modern artist with decades of experience - felt such a fool.
Team covering Cardiff are rude, pretentious and obnoxious
The team that cover Cardiff, inclusive of St Mary’s Street, Queen Street and Saint David Centre are amongst the most obnoxious and pretentious group of people I’ve had the misfortune of meeting.
For years they have waved their false waves, smiled their false smiles and condescended thousands with their false compliments, all in the hope that you will contribute towards their wages via direct direct.
The latest incident has resulted in a complaint to both the ‘organisation’ and the security team at the shopping centre and involved a young lady literally blocking my path, expecting me to share her pretentious over-enthusiasm, then getting shirty and mouthy when I didn’t match her energy, entitled behaviour you can expect from every member of this posse of pests.
I muttered to myself, she decided to play on that and later reported me to security and call me rude. What she didn’t realise is her pretentious and invasive behaviour had been reported to security.
These people never stop and consider whose day they are stepping into with their time wasting nonsense. They never once read a situation before leaping into your path like over-caffeinated court jesters.
Some people have their own ‘stuff’ going on and aren’t in the mood for their nauseating drivel, repeatedly.
I will go out of my way to put money in a charity box, I’ll get cash from a bank but I’ll never give to these direct debit charity schemes and these people that spoil Cardiff city centre.
I really dislike this lot and cringe each time I see them. These are all people who clearly didn’t try hard enough in school if this is the best they can achieve.
Cardiff city centre is a nicer place when they are being pretentious in another town or city.
Action Aid representative doesn’t know…
Action Aid representative doesn’t know the History of Somaliland and its people. So I would advise Action Aid to mind their own business of helping those in need. Somaliland get their independence 1960 from England and Somalia get their independence from Italy in 1960. Somaliland joined to Somalia in an effort to free other Somali Countries that are part of Ethiopia, Kenya and Djibouti. As you can see their flag has a big white star which starts for 5 Somalis( Somaliland, Somalia, Djibouti, East part of Ethiopia and North Front District of Kenya) The union of Somalia and Somali-land became Democratic Republic Of Somalia with that big dream of freeing and uniting all Somalis in the region. Only Djibouti get their independence in late 70’s but unfortunately Djibouti refuse to joint the union and preferred to stand only.
Very concerned about this company
Very concerned about this company. Sponsored a child for many years, then emailed to say that (now he is an adult) I wanted to cease my sponsorship. I never received an acknowledgement, and now it looks like they are trying to charge me for another child. I am now a pensioner and cannot afford to just keep sponsoring everyone. No clue what to do as they ignore email.
Doubting they're authentic
I recently sponsored a child but I'm having serious doubts after my second letter from my sponsored child.
My first letter said he was 7 years old and wanted to be a nurse and lives with his parents and brothers.
The second letter just three months later said he is 6 years old, has one brother and wants to be a teacher! It sounds like a completely different person 🤔
Doubting their authenticity
Yet another scam just like the…
Yet another scam just like the *wateraid* one, don’t send money to these scammers as you have no idea what you are sponsoring, certainly not the young kids you see on their ads
This is a scam
This is a scam! I signed up to sponsor a child and paid for 14 months, only to read on their website that my money wasn't going directly to the child. They say it goes to the community that the live in. They are using children to write to their so called sponsors and sponsors are writing back. This is child abuse. They are taking advantage of these children for their own gain. I stopped my direct debit and will be contacting action aid to refund my money. Don't give this fraudulent charity a penny. My advice to them is stop going to 3rd world countries and take advantage of poor, innocent people, especially children

Very expensive to sponsor a child i have travelled to alot of third world countries it would not cost this much whoose pocketingthe money
Very good experience
Very good experience. If you are hesitant to sponsor a child, read the BBC article "Is child sponsorship ethical?". An international study has compared lives of children who had been sponsored as children to those who had not. Results are shocking.
