Fun to watch money grow

I set up an Acorns Bronze account ($3 per month) in July 2025 and now have a few hundred dollars with 8.75% all time gain. The gain is about equal to the fees so far, but I'm interested in seeing how it will develop over time. I round up from a couple of credit cards and transfer in $5 from my paycheck every week. It's not a lot but I have other methods for more serious investing and saving, and it's fun to have a site with daily updates to follow, like eTrade and Robinhood. I earn more with my REITs and CDs, but they accrue dividends and interest less frequently, so I only log into those accounts monthly to check progress. I enjoy my daily Acorns check-in. For those of us for whom growing our money is also a spectator sport, it's fun to have another money thing to watch every day. So far I'm enjoying the experience. I'll follow up with another review in the future.

The app is not what it used to be

The app is progressively becoming less useful and not providing any new features or services that motivate customers to keep their memberships which are not cheap by the way. It’s hard to find associates that speaks proper English and even if you’re lucky enough to find one they are not coached to manage thins accordingly to provide decent customer service

I would like to be very honest about this app …

I would like to be very honest with my review personally from what I see with my own to us this app in this organization, can’t really work and can really grow your financial in capital gain I did run into some hiccups with my account being under review and being locked out my account for almost a year and a half But I reached out to customer service after trying to for some time and they treating me with respect and help me to the best of their abilities shout out to the customer service princess you did a wonderful job and I look forward to what there procedures finding a resolution will be, and hopefully some conversation for my Unintentional, but unreusable hindrance of investing funds to have financial freedom and stability in the future my best friend referred me to this app and he showed me what he made in the time that he’s been investing with acorns and it was a little bit over a month from when I started and he’s at $87,000 so when I tell you that it works it does work. I just hope that they get more personal with reaching out to their consumers and informing the customers if there’s any thing we need to do on our end so that Acorns in everything is clear to go as far as them doing what they promote I say 10 stars five is not enough, but to be honest as far as them reaching out being personal making sure that there’s no road bumps because that’s a part of what this company provides is one of the thing it draws me in it because it’s supposed to be safe and a controlled stable environment and I feel like it could’ve been way more controlled than just a phone call instead of an email a follow up phone call or a follow up email to make sure I’m informed of what’s going on even if I even have anything to do with it or not which at this point I don’t think so. I think it was just false alarm or a mishap. It will go so far, but don’t let me take away from the work they do this is really a 10 thumbs up review but with honesty to the company letting them know how I feel and how a lot of other people might feel but you guys do great work. I can see that I just very sad that I was stopped from being able to endure in all the gaining the financial stability like I said before I hope there’s some conversation will come from the hindrance that I have at the indoor with no no doing of mine, not from the consumers but from the companies and I hope that you guys will be the shining example in the world where every day Americans get screwed over and nothing‘s done I believe that you guys will take ownership to the unintentional mistake and help me catch up to where I would’ve been because the reason why I can you guys is cause I do need the help and it all the time in the world is not mine. I’m late in the game with trying to plan for the future but the reason why I’m here is because I have a fire in me that was lit up from seeing this assist that you did with my best friend and I would be at least 1/3 to half the way he is now and if I was you guys, and you was me, I wouldn’t say I would give compensation to all of the losses , but something /anything that I could do within a good reason, I would do and I hope you do. I’m not asking for the whole world, but I am asking that you make the world of investing available to me as you assured and make it accessible .i hope you help me get my feet back on the ground ,because I had my feet planted in the same dirt that your acorns grow from and I seen my friends acorns grow , while mine got plucked up and out of the foundation we were building together for some reason, but hopefully we get past that .that being said I will forever Let the world know how great your service is and it’s needed in this world right now so please you guys fix these minor yet important issues and I think you probably would be considered the most impactful and important app /service /business in the world and that’s a true statements from an everyday American out of Milwaukee, Wisconsin Thank you

Perfect for a need.

Acorns has always been very helpful to me and their customer support is on the ball. No complaints in the years I've been using it. I experienced issues with the website today but it was nothing that two messages with customer service couldn't fix.

Customer Service, Transfer Request, and Overall Rating.

Contacted customer service about transferring funds from Acorns to a different finance app. Used Acorns for 2 years when I started investing a year into college. Now, with 1 more year after this one, a much better understanding of stocks, bonds, ETFs, etc., and adding an apartment as well as a credit card to my name, I think I am ready for more advanced investing opportunities. Acorns is a great place to start, and even stay, if you don't want to get too finance savvy - as it's better than nothing. But I am now ready for bigger and better things. Thanks Acorns.

Terrible experience

Terrible experience. None of the automated systems work and when you get in contact with someone it’s a completely different country and culture where the communication barrier is exhausting and they can’t even help you or understand you properly.

Holding my money hostage

My account was flagged because I transferred a large sum of money to it. Biggest mistake I’ve ever made. Thankfully my bank was able to refund the money to me, but I still cannot get Acorns to release what’s left in my account and close the account I keep getting the exact same reply from one Customer Service rep after another and I’ve already supplied everything they’ve asked for multiple times. This company is an absolute scam and I would not recommend it to anyone.

Still debiting for a closed acct

I tried to close my account and stop the auto withdrawal. According to customer service, I have no open accounts, but money is still coming out weekly to them.
