Have a contract with a subsidiary of this group. Paid hundreds of pounds for them to sell my business. The only contact I have had since Christmas 2022 is a threatening email telling me not to sign up with another company. I have emailed both Business Sales and Accentia and have had no reply whatsoever. I would like a refund of my money as they are not a reputable company. Absolutely avoid at all costs. I wouldn't even give them one star.
We are now six months into our contract to sell our business. We have tried contacting our local agent, to amend our advert who explained why they have nothing to do with BSP anymore. We have attempted to contact BSP's main office via email, phone call and messages with no success. This has been the case for the last four weeks. If you are still trading, answer your messages.

Paid them £750 to market my business and clearly something has happened as I received a threatening email saying a competitive business has been set up and attempting to take clients and that I was under contract,

Avoid at all costs. Takes the deposit and runs with the money while blanking all attempts to reach out to them to get OUR money. Thieves.
If I could give no stars i would but that isn't an option! Accentia came to us promising to provide a great service and a good network of prospective partners. However as soon as they got the £5000+vat deposit they disappeared, wouldn't return phone calls or emails and provided none of agreed services. Now I hear from one of their consultants that their own franchises aren't being paid and are leaving. I have now issued court proceedings as all my letters and emails have been ignored. Avoid this business like the plague!

Thank you for your review Anthony, you are correct in that we do charge for our services as do all service providers. However, contrary to your post, we actually deliver the service ahead of payment. As you know, we finance internally all of our fees over a 6 month period and generally deliver what we are engaged to produce within 3 months. In your case, you did not pay us and as a result we have engaged collection agents in the US to recover the debt. This review is as you threatened our US lawyers with, an attempt to force us to drop our fully legitimate claim by launching a campaign on social media. Trust Pilot is a very effective platform that ensures that genuine service reviews have a forum, it should not be used to extort a payment or in your case a non payment from the other party.
We remain open to completing the work that you engaged us to do, however we will of course require payment in the same way that if I ate a pizza in one of your restaurants, you would expect me to pay for it.
I would strongly recommend this company. Very professional and helpful make every so easy. Very friendly staff my adviser Elkie was great and couldn't thank her enough for her help.

I paid a deposit of £2,400 towards a franchise in Nov 2021. Due to funding issues; I was unable to progress with the Franchise.
As Accentia is an agent; they were supposed to transfer the funds to the Franchisor but withheld the funds to both parties; likewise, this is supposed to be refundable.
However, the almighty Mr Marcus Bennion declined to refund the deposit. Worse off all, emails to them have not being acknowledged let alone dealt with.
I am having to go through the court, to retrieve what was supposed to be a Refundable Deposit.
Stay clear of them; GIVE YOUR DEPOSIT DIRECTLY TO THE FRANCHISOR; if you don't want to go through the heartache I have been through. Even the Franchisor is having to fight for me but to no avail!!!
UPDATE; though Accentia’s response below is entirely untrue; I am glad that the deposit has now been refunded. Lesson learnt.

Thank you for leaving a review, it is always helpful to receive feedback good or bad.
I appreciate that you feel that your deposit should be refunded, however you agreed a 6 week option with the franchisor during which time your deposit would have been fully refundable at any time. However, it was some 12 weeks after reserving the franchise that you changed your mind and asked for the deposit to be refunded. Contrary to what you say above, we have engaged with you fully during this process including numerous telephone conversations and 4 emails between the 18th & 31st Jan the contents of which you have ignored.
We hold all deposits as an agent on behalf of our client the franchisor, we do so also to ensure that franchisees are treated fairly in the event of a refund being justified. In your case, you were substantially out of contract and your deposit was retained. This is always a last resort, but in this case the period in excess of your option period was exceptional.
Further, we respect Trustpilot as a credible forum through which businesses and consumers can engage in a constructive process through which service delivery can be improved. It should not in our opinion be used as a tool by either side to extort a payment that is not owed.

We have been with Accentia for a short time now and loved every minute of it ! We was unsure with how it all worked but after a simple meeting it was all sorted and signed up, After less then 4 weeks we have our first franchisee signed up and getting ready to open early 2022. Perused a Franchise thru ACCENTIA. They requested a £2100 refundable holding deposit and stated if l did not continue with Franchise l would be refunded. I Opted not to continue with the Franchise. I am having to chase them for the refund of my holding deposit. This does not seem ethical or trustworthy. I want the return of my deposit. Response:
