ABTA were effective
ABTA provideda swift and effective response.
They upheld our complaint and effected a full resolution.
Great Service
Telephoned on time very polite and professional.
Explained what was happening and what would happen next.
Mediated between myself and Tui until an agreement was reached.
Listened attentively resolved my dispute happy with the service Thank you Derek.
Good morning they made it easy to…

Fast service
The complaints procedure is easy to follow, the outcome was fast.
Efficient service, the company contacted me the next day.
Thank you and I would highly recommend using this service.
Not so Easy jet
My dispute with EASYJET had been dismissed by them with no more than a 'sorry'.
I sent the details to ABTA and low and behold EASYJET paid me out in full.
Well done ABTA and if ever the need arises I would certainly use your service again.
I spoke to Charles at ABTA
I spoke to Charles at ABTA, and he made the process streamlined and efficient. Happy with the outcome
Not answering the phone!
I have called this organisation multiple times today. I spoke to 2 members of staff initially who were rude and unprofessional. I’ve called back several times since then to register a formal complaint about their conduct towards me on the phone today (they are only available to call between 10am and 3pm) and after waiting twice for 31 long minutes in their queue, the line cuts off. At the beginning of every call you are asked to enter your complaint reference number. I am convinced they can’t be bothered dealing with me and can see from me entering the reference number that I am trying to get through to speak to them and they are deliberately ignoring answering my call. A disgraceful state of affairs, they are acting more unprofessionally towards me than the travel insurance company I initially complained about!
easyJet negotiations via ABTA
Mediation through Charles. Very understanding and fair negotiations. He listened and made various comments that made sense. Accepted a revised offer
WHATS THE POINT OF ABTA THEY DONT ANYONE
I booked a TUI all-inclusive to Morocco, I've been to Morocco 7 times, never had a problem; it was a seven-day holiday. I was sick with diarrhoea for four days out of seven, reported to the Tui reps twice, told by rep to buy medicine which i did, met another family with the same diarrhoea, made a claim to TUI on return, was messed around for two months, then dismissed by TUI told by TUI to contact ABTA which i did,ABTA sent me one email saying basiclly dont bother us contact citizen advice, what is the point of ABTA they do nothing to help anyone, no reply as yet weeks go by
What a relief!
When my partner suggested ABTA, I was initially a bit unsure. I didn't want to pursue a legal route with hidden fees or make anything too "serious" which we couldn't handle, but ABTA were so efficient. They were transparent, their T&Cs were clear and they handled the situation themselves without us needing to fight back. I was so relieved after we had been fighting back and forth with the company whom we were making a complaint about. They then resolved our issue within 2 weeks.
Thank you for sorting out my issue
Thank you for sorting out my issue/complaint, very happy with the results. Extremely quick response and kept me updated regularly.
Really happy i contacted ABTA
I really appreciate the advice and support ABTA gave me and the eventual resolution to the issue i had with Jet2 who were totally uninterested before the involvement of ABTA. The representative from ABTA that i spoke to during mediation was very knowledgeable and it was nice to finally have someone actually listen. Thank you again.
Registering a Dispute
Straight forward and simple process to register a dispute, swift and efficient action taken.
Helpful and understanding
I have had a really positive experience with the advisor at ABTA who was helping mediate a settlement between myself and TUI over a poor quality hotel and numerous health and safety issues. The advisor was so kind, understanding and helpful, offering realistic and pragmatic advice as to how best approach mediation. We discussed where I’d be happy to settle and what could realistically be the outcome. I felt like I didn’t have to compromise significantly and my requests were being advocated for. I was really happy with the ultimate settlement outcome, and the settlement being offered in cash and not vouchers which I had voiced as a primary concern. Thank you for your help in resolving what has been a very stressful experience!
Amazing!
Amazing!! I really can’t thank ABTA enough. My flight was delayed with easyJet & I had contacted ABTA to help with compensation. Which was resolved swiftly! Thank you
ABTA is a joke
ABTA as the initials identify it is an Association of British Travel Agents. They represent their members, they do not represent the travel companies customers. They have no authority to enforce any complaint made by a customer, all they can do is pass the complaint to the travel company and then pass on the travel companies response to the customer. As the customer has almost always complained to the travel company before contacting ABTA the chance of the travel company changing its response is not a good one. Customers need an independent organisation with powers to enforce compensation if they find the complaint valid. Holiday companies post on their adverts that their holidays are ABTA protected, that is simply not true.

Complained to ABTA about a Thomas Cook…
Complained to ABTA about a Thomas Cook Holiday. 3,000 word complaint so it wasn't trivial. Everything about Transfer to Hotel, Hotel, Facilities Food Entertainment next to building site etc etc about 12 separate complaints. ABTA took weeks to come back and say Thomas Cook stand by their decision. I thought they reviewed the info independently clearly not ABTA stands for Always Back Travel Agents. They are a waste of space. If I want to take it further I can go to arbitration for £150. Dated experience at todays date when they finally replied.
The ABTA service of mediation is a complete waste of time!
The ABTA service of mediation is a complete waste of time it’s not worth even writing to them, it’s purely a lip service, they do absolutely NOTHING! You only way you are able to get some form of redress is by paying to go to Arbitration, the organisation is totally useless.
