I love a box of stories. Four brand new books are delivered to me at a time that suits me best (monthly, every 2 months etc). The fiction box encourages me to read books from genres I wouldn’t typically pick up at my local bookstore. As someone who often literally judges a book by its cover it has meant I’ve found books that I love that wouldn’t normally appeal to me. I also love that in subscribing I’m being environmentally friendly by ensuring the books aren’t pulped or end up in landfill. I recommend to all my friends and love that we both get money off if they choose to subscribe.

Had some really great books that I would never have seen otherwise. Look forward to it every quarter.

I love a box of stories, I love the variety, I love that it always includes POC, lgbtq+ and I love how it saves so many books from getting destroyed!

Love the boxes. I get both the youth adult box and the Sci fi and fantasy box. Great variety and delivered really well. Always so exciting to open a new box! Customer service replies really quickly on fb messenger and couldn't be more helpful. Cannot recommend them highly enough!

I really like the idea behind what ABOS is doing, like they say so many books go into landfill and this gives people a chance to discover new authors and books which may not have picked up otherwise. I’ve had 3 boxes now and although it took me a while to get a combination of books which are more to my liking I have enjoyed most of the books I’ve received. Some are not at all up my alley but most have been enjoyed.
I get my box every 4 months which works out £5 a month for a book, 3 deliveries a year, when the usual/ most common RRP price is £8.99 I find this very good value for a book that I may not have chosen (even better surprise when you receive a hardback book which usual RRP for £15.99)
The books are brand new, all have always been in excellent condition.
I look forward to what I will receive in 2022 and see if I can discover any new authors.
The only thing I would maybe suggest for something in the future is an option to chose the 4 books, from a selection that ABOS have on their website of books available, that way we could read the back of the book and see if it would be something that would be enjoyed and that we would like to receive in that genre.

What an amazing idea, most certainly worth the purchase and I will be acquiring more boxes in the near future :) the surprise element to the 4 books inside makes for an exciting reading experience and is a great idea to help bring readers out of their usual comforts by introducing authors and stories that we may have otherwise missed on our bookshop travels.

I really wanted to try new books. Especially ones that are not advertised in shops. I ordered my box on Monday received Thursday. The books have such a great range too which stops me from just reading the same books. I ordered the mixed fiction box

A Box of Stories is a fantastic subscription service. Everything's clearly laid out on the website, you choose a subscription, amount of books, and the frequency. Then on dispatch, they send you a notification to let you know your box is on the way.

Each box is curated for the reader, with a guarantee of not sending you the same book twice. They come well packaged and protected, so the books arrive in perfect condition and the all important new book smell!

Every 4th box also contains a gift of an extra book for free, plus potentially discount codes or further offers. If you want to change the frequency of deliveries, types of books you receive, or need to pause your subscription, it's all easily done from your personal log in page on their website. It's very easy and straight forward.

I highly recommend ABOS. Their customer service is exemplary and they understand and share your love of literature with you. If you're thinking of treating yourself, you can't go wrong with ABOS, if you're thinking of treating someone else, I can't think of a better gift for a book lover.

I subscribed to this a few months ago, and so far have received 3 boxes. All really nice books, and a good opportunity to read authors I wouldn't normally pick. I love books and read several a month, and if I go to a book shop will always walk out with something. Value for money is great, not many places you can get 4 books for £14.95. Keep up the good work....

I received my first box and couldn’t wait to get starting. Such a good idea as an add on for those of us that know what books we already want to buy. I’ve read two and thought they were great.

I have received two boxes so far from A Box Of Stories, and I have been really happy with them. They have both been dispatched by the date given in the email, and I have received them quickly too. I definitely plan on keeping my subscription active and I look forward to future boxes.
