I cannot praise Richard and Shaun at Ableworld Cardiff highly enough. From the very first phone call, Shaun was incredibly kind, patient, and understanding. I rang to ask whether they could help with my mother‑in‑law’s mobility scooter, which had suddenly stopped charging. Shaun reassured me straight away, explained the process clearly, and arranged for it to be booked in without any fuss.

Although they offer a very reasonably priced collection service, I had already packed the scooter into the car. When I arrived, Shaun came straight out to help unload it and talked me through what would happen next. Richard was also on hand, offering reassurance and confidence that they would get to the bottom of the issue.

True to their word, the scooter was diagnosed and repaired promptly — and at an extremely fair and reasonable price. There was no overcharging, no unnecessary add‑ons, just honest, professional service delivered with genuine care.

Their kindness, transparency, and willingness to go the extra mile really stood out. It’s rare to find a team who combine expertise with such a compassionate approach, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Ableworld Cardiff to anyone needing mobility support or repairs.

Excellent service from Richard today

I spent hours on the phone trying to find the product that this company provided in 15 minutes half a mile from my home. The best experience in a difficult time. Superb staff who really know their stuff. I won't be shopping anywhere else.

Visited the Cardiff branch and spoke with Tony and Shaun. They were extremely knowledgable and the service they provided was exceptional. We were looking to purchase a lift and recline chair and they immediately went out of their way to deliver a demonstration model to our mums home, which enabled her to try out the chair to ensure it was the correct fit and suitable for her needs. Thank you so much.

Took my auntie in to purchase a scooter, the salesman told her it was 6mph, as she was very insistent that's what she wanted.

After delivery took it out and said it's very slow. So I googled it and it's only 4mph.

The guy has said he told her it was 4mph and there's no refunds, even though I was there and witnessed he said it. She mentioned many times she wanted 6mph and decent suspension. he specifically sais the road ones were 8mph, this was the best pavement one and 6mph and the smaller ones were 4mph.

She rang the shop and was told no refunds, rang main helpine and was told they would ring the shop on her behalf and then the original guy from Penarth Rd rang her back and wouldn't let her get a word in edgewise.

It's our word against his and they are sticking to it. So be warned, they are like shady car salesmen to get a sale and will lie through their teeth making it a he said she said situation which the customer can never win.

She rang the main line back and they said, nothing we can do, you can try doing a formal complaint but it will take months.

From the moment you step into the store you feel valued.
Denise who served me on both my visits is so lovely. She understood exactly what I wanted and there is never any pressure selling.
I went in on Tuesday ordered a bed and it was delivered this morning. The lads that do the deliveries are so helpful and competent at their job. Nothing is to much trouble.
Costs are very very competitive and having bought both my adjustable bed and rise and recline chair I can tell you you won’t get cheaper with good quality anywhere else.

First found your store whilst on holiday and bought a pack of 2 pairs of socks for diabetics. The best I have ever found so now have 4 more pairs. I take a size 4 shoe and find most socks are size 4 - 8 which are hopeless on me because they wrinkle under my feet. These are size 3 - 5 so much better . Love them and delighted I found them. Thank you.

I visited the Cardiff branch today with my mum to look at getting a walker on wheels for her. The service I had was first class from Tara. Tara went through different models and explained everything very clearly. Her knowledge was also excellent. We came away with a Triumph Walker and a Strolley Trolley. Thank you Tara for being extreme patient, your help was greatly appreciated

We called in the Newport branch. Staff were absolutely brilliant, nothing was to much trouble. We didn't feel rushed. And I was given great advice. I brought a scooter and have to admit it's great. Love it. Thanks for all the support, advice and time. Meant a lot.

Called into to the Cardiff branch today hoping they could fix a problem with our scooter. The store were excellent and managed to fix it right way. Thankyou for going over and beyond

Richard was very nice, no pushy selling but knew his job. He explained things when we asked then gave us a catalogue, we took it home looked at what we wanted then went back and bought the scooter we wanted.
Thanks to Chris for delivering it as our boot was full.
