Able® Raw Dog Food Reviews 33

My 9 year old cross is starting to show signs of arthritis. After researching supplements I decided raw food was the way to include more nutrients. I did a serious amount of research before settling on Able, which came out top in one of the raw reviews. The frozen packs have been good for portion control and the calorie guidelines useful. Been using for 2 months now, dogs coat is beautiful and glossy, he's looking trim and wakes me early for his breakfast. His teeth look cleaner & breath is better, fewer/smaller poos although lots of tummy gurgling! Bought the mixed pack initially to find out which flavours he favoured. Slightly more expensive than the high end kibble he was on, but hopefully cost effective in terms of vet fees and he definitely prefers the raw.

My pup has been on Able for the past 4 months we've had him. He was on kibble before and we switched to raw. We found able on a dog nutrition site and it was on the top of the list so we tried it out. He's absolutely loved his food and it's really obvious in his poo's and coat how much of a difference it has been switching him to Able. He's poo's are very solid and his coat is so soft!

Been feeding Able for over 6months and Alf is still loving it. I like the single portions and the nice chunky texture. I also like that it is complete and so no additions needed. Service has always been good - quick to respond during working hours and delivery for me has always been flawless. No complains from me nor my happy shiny Jack Russell.

The food is excellent quality and I love the easy packaging with every portion wrapped separately, it’s so much easier than trying to guess portion size or weigh and the website does it all for you.
Customer service is ay mazing! I have messed up my order 3 times now and Kayleigh has been so helpful in rectifying it at short notice .
Tried a number of companies and Able wins by combining great food with great customer service .

Really happy with quality of the food. My dog absolutely loves it. He really doesn’t like food when it’s sat around in the fridge and not just been defrosted fresh, so the small packs are brilliant for us. Also the customer service, there was a delay with one of my orders (an issue with the courier company not Able). They informed me of the issue straight away. The majority of the food was absolutely fine and still frozen when it arrived, the few packs that were too defrosted were refunded with the delivery refund. It is the mark of a good company that performs well on the very odd occasion they encounter an issue.

Excellent quality and convenience. I get the chunky 250g packs which is about right for my small dog. So that makes feeding really easy. The cost on subscription is around £1 a day which is really good. The subscribtion can be tweaked if you need it earlier etc.
The food itself, the chunky beef lamb chicken varieties, are excellent. You can see lumps of meat. My dog can be fussy but has never turned his nose up at this. I'm several months in now and would recommend. And if you don't feed raw, your dog wont be at its optimum health. Don't believe the corporate led scare mongering.

Whilst initially impressed with Able (ordering the beef and lamb), with quick delivery and individual meal packaging, things turned out very average.

Our dog cleaned his bowl the first few times, but quickly (within a week) turned off the food. He'd sniff at it a few times, and walk away, which is highly unusual for him.

I was also initially impressed with the real chunks of meat in the food. However after the first couple of days, when cutting up the chunks that were too big for our shepherd to eat (which is saying a lot...), I found whole teeth in the food, as well as numerous sharp shards of bone.

This was probably the biggest factor in turning to another company and stopping us feeding Able to our dog. The bone pieces were dangerous and could easily have punctured his mouth or even worse, digestive tract. Its an accident waiting to happen. I've since checked a few more packs and all are similar, enough so to ruin a good pair of kitchen shears/scissors from all the hard pieces they've encountered.

We did order the chunky style packs but I was under the false impression this wouldn't include chunks of bone, which according to their website are ground into the meat/meals.

Disappointed to say the least.

My girl loves this food! Will definitely be purchasing again! Excellent portion sizes too with a choice of different sizes and chunky/Non chunky.

Really happy with this food, can choose from chunky or non chunky. My 6 dogs love the food and I think it looks very fresh! Love the packaging as very simplistic and easy to store

Why anyone would feed their dog kibble or tinned food is beyond me, as the Able Dog raw food is exceptional quality and our Pomeranian loves it. You really should try their food out, their customer service is excellent, delivery times are speedy and well packaged. Please do your dog a favour and change them to a raw diet with Able. And no, we don't work for them, just wanted to review a company that is doing its very best to provide great service and keep Britain's dogs in great food :-)

The best service I have experienced so far. They say next day delivery and that's how it was. Ordered the junior 150gx28 mix pack to test it on our puppy, and everything was impeccable, all the 150g packed individual and came in a nice box, arranged carefully.
I will definitely order more in the future.
