Passed first time today, I had Josh and he is so good, very patient & knowledgable, really knows what he’s doing!! Couldn’t have asked for a better instructor and will be passing his info onto friends and family 🚗 thank you for everything Josh!

As someone who was almost completely new to driving. A1 more specifically Talat Afzal made my experience learning so smooth. He really knows what he is doing. Everything he taught me made sense, he simplified things and everything we did prepared me perfectly for the test. I passed my practical first time thanks to Talat with a lot less hours than I was expecting. I highly recommend him to anyone who is feeling under confident with driving as he is extremely patient, friendly and a fantastic instructor.

I just passed my Practical test on my first attempt. I had 5 lessons (10 hrs) at A1 for 3 weeks. Thank you to my instructor Urfan who’s been very helpful and patient during our lessons. He’s been very vocal and explains to me very well what and what not to do during our lessons. He emboldened me that I would pass my test and I did it even if we had a very short time to practice. Thank you again, Highly recommended

i had haji as my instructor, couldn’t of asked for better to help me learn. i’d recently came from a previous driving school and was quite nervous starting again ,but was made to feel so comfortable and confident would definitely recommend!

Ali provided my son with a fast pass course.....signed, sealed and delivered. First time pass with 1 minor.....outstanding performance and couldn't thank Ali more for his skills on getting the job done. Fantastic job!!

Firstly I want to say a massive thank you to my instructor Serwan Abdullah for being so patient and calm with me when teaching me to drive. We had lovely conversations which helped put me at ease and more comfortable when it came to driving. His instructions were clear and practical which led me to pass on my first attempt!! I 100% recommend A1 Driving School especially with my instructor Serwan. 😊

Recently passed my test with Usman being my instructor to begin with, then Ali for the majority. Ali especially was very good, communication with lesson timings sometimes lacking consistancy, but a very good instructor, helped me pass first time and without any faults.

I drove with Muhammad, and I passed first time with 1 minor!

He is incredibly knowledgeable, and teaches in a very calm, reassuring and precise manner. I really feel he helped create a driving ’method’ for me on how to approach any situation on the road.

He is very supportive of your learning, tailors each lesson to what you need to improve upon, and gives you positive feedback just as much as constructive to really help you gain confidence - I know other instructors don’t take this approach!

On a personal level, Muhammad has a great sense of humour and his experience driving in Europe means he has lots of tips and tricks that other instructors from the UK may not have.

I cannot recommend him enough.

I cleared my driving test, taking lessons with Tan. I felt ready and confident for the test, Tan was very supportive and patient through out my learning curve. As a working professional I needed bit of flexibility with the timings for the lessons to which Tan really adapted. Overall very happy with my experience :)

My driving instructor Tan, was brilliant and very supportive. He's an instructor who values his job and his students, teaching you to do better every lesson. I passed first time. Credit to him and thanking the Lord he was my instructor.

I passed my test first time. Very good on making time for my exam even through he has a busy schedule and made sure i was fully prepared for the day. I couldn't wait for my next lesson as soon as i got home, and he is very professional and reassuring. Couldn’t recommend josh more to other learners!

I had Serwan as my instructor and could not recommend anyone better, he was very knowledgable and easy to learn with. I would not have passed my test without him. He made learning how to drive very easy and did not make you rush, if I made a mistake he would explain in full detail how to improve on it.

My driving instructor Ali was great, he put a lot of time and effort in with me, we had a weekly 2 hour lesson and always had ample notice if he was unavailable. My time with this driving school was amazing, they were very quick and efficient at starting my lessons. I would heavily recommend this driving school and especially my instructor Ali.

I passed my test yesterday on first attempt all thanks to my instructor Iqra she’s amazing I couldn’t recommend anyone else just go for her she’s extremely calm always on time make me comfortable during lessons her way of teaching is excellent i am so grateful having you as my instructor once again thank you so much Iqra and off course A1 driving academy.

I honestly can’t recommend Serwan enough if you’re looking for an automatic driving instructor in Derby!

Before learning with Serwan, I had three different driving instructors and always struggled with driving anxiety. I never felt confident behind the wheel and started to think passing just wasn’t for me.

Choosing to learn automatic with Serwan was the best decision I ever made. He is incredibly friendly, patient, supportive, and always made me feel at ease. He adapted lessons to suit me, built my confidence slowly, and was so flexible and understanding throughout the whole process.

Thanks to his amazing teaching, I passed first time after just two months of lessons! I never thought I’d be able to say that.
