Service has declined as their company has grown. Stay away!

Overall, 8x8 had a mostly-reliable phone service; I used them for a business I owned for 8+ years.
Customer service was lousy. Issues were first sent to an overseas call center where communication was difficult and issues were rarely resolved. Eventually I could usually get to domestic support and the issue was eventually resolved in most cases.
Their system has grown to be more bloated and confusing over the years. More than once we would have a service that simply stopped working (such as ring groups, voicemail, or on-hold audio), due to something being updated in their system. This would then necessitate an hour or two of work with their customer service team, just to fix the issue and get things back working the same way they used to.
My biggest issue came when I closed my business. Though I had been a customer for nearly a decade, they are trying to force me to pay additional contract months for every phone extension that I have, claiming that my contract auto-renewed repeatedly. This, despite the fact that their sales team had told me I could take the number of seats up and down at any time as needed. It seems they're happy to screw the customer on their way out the door, despite the fact that I was (until this happened) intending to continue to use their services in another business that I own.
A special shout-out to Aaron in their customer service department for taking more than a week to respond to my request, and then finally informing me that "the legal team said I need to pay the remainder of my contract."
This company clearly cares NOTHING about loyal customers who have been with them for years.

Reliable, Cost Effective and Always Improving

I have been using 8x8 since 2011 for my office phone line and VOIP fax capability The system also handles business related SMS text communications. I receive and make calls over my desk phone, my PC or my smart phone at no additional cost to me. The monthly cost to me over the 14 plus years has grown by no more than 20% in total over my initial cost. The administrative aspects are almost all easily handled by me in the 8x8 apps. The system has never been down and I haven't had the need to contact customer service for years!

I like that appears on my desk top and that i'm able to listen to voicemail if I get to busy or I can just text back to that person right away.

Very Satisfied

I have only had to communicate with 8x8 a few times, but each time, they have been helpful and understanding, and work diligently to solve my problem. The representatives I have spoken with are extremely courteous and knowledgeable.
