Great service with friendly staff
I bought one of the internal Bluetooth adapters for gamecube as well as a clear PS1 shell and have nothing but good things to say. Things arrived in good time, well protected and questions asked after they had shipped were promptly respondid to. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for retro good, especially if you already live in the UK as most sellers for these kinds of niche products are from overseas so the shipping is reasonable.

Awesome UK-based store!
I've bought more than a few products from 8bitmods over the years and they're always delivered promptly and packaged well. They also stock a great range of amazing products like the recently released MemCard Pro GC which has hugely simplified my GameCube sessions! Support is also excellent and friendly.

Slow delivery, indifferent customer service.
Ordered on a Thursday after delivery cut-off (which is noon) - OK fine. The next day got an email saying it was "shipped". Checked the tracking of my "express" delivery (which I paid extra for) and the status was "label created".
It stayed that way over the weekend and on Monday afternoon I emailed to ask what was happening. The response? "I can only suppose it's on its way to you". Then around the same time the shipping status suddenly changed to say that the carrier had it, but it didn't arrive until the following day (in a jiffy bag, amazingly undamaged).
It seems likely that it wasn't actually dispatched until I sent the email, otherwise it would have arrived over the weekend. But what really turns me off is the snappy, indifferent response I got when I politely asked what was going on. I had tried to support a small business rather than order from Amazon, despite having to pay more. I'm afraid I shan't be supporting this one again if I'm considered such a nuisance as a customer.

Sorry you didn't have a good experience using our shop.
As it was explained to you over email, the label was created once you placed your order and packed to be shipped. It was dropped on that day to the mailroom where UPS picks up our parcels. This was on the Thursday (after cut-off) when you placed your order. We'd normally expect UPS to pick up the next day (Friday) which unfortunately didn't happen (they likely missed the parcel).
Along with the explanation above, we checked the mailroom and since the parcel wasn't there, we could only indeed suppose it was on its way to you, as UPS hadn't scanned anything yet. Indeed, the scan appeared on their tracking site a few minutes later.
Going by the tracking, your parcel was not picked up until the following Monday by UPS, however this is out of our control, as everything you see on the UPS website tracking page is only controlled by UPS themselves. It was purely a coincidence that it was scanned 30 minutes after you sent an email. We certainly did not dispatch the parcel after you emailed us. UPS picks up parcels irregularly every day and we don't control when they come here, or when they scan the parcels.
Once again I apologise you didn't receive the parcel when you expected, but this was down to events completely out of our control. We are looking into replacing UPS with another service though, as this was not the first time this happened and we're not happy with their service and the service they provide to our customers.
In terms of packaging, we never had a bad experience on how we package the specific items you ordered, so it is not a surprise to us that they arrived to you undamaged.
