They scam non-US buyers with a fake VAT tax that in reality goes straight into their pockets. On the other hand, they have a very responsive customer support that admits such behavior from their side.
Shipping scam
I love their products and I’m a longtime customer but I ordered in mid-November and it still hasn’t arrived.
I never received an email confirmation and had to reach out to the company for an order number (they were impossible to reach out to as well - went through instagram which led to email). Using the order number, it says the order isn’t even confirmed.
I was told by the company though that it was “lost in the mail” and they sent a replacement.
The same exact thing happened - no email confirmation, order number they gave me says not confirmed and says the shipping company is awaiting the delivery package.
I’ve contacted the company several times and the same two people keep promising me it’s been sent but cannot explain why it says it hasn’t been confirmed. Both people blamed Canada Post even though both order numbers say the products haven’t left 4Ocean to be received by the shipping company Passport.
No one is actually helping. It’s over $100 worth of products.

Not doubting your product or cause...have ordered before no problem .Order places July 31 2024 for one glow in dark bracelet morphed into an order for 2 others also( admit I am not 100%great on computers)but when I tried to correct it, call, e-mail for help, no luck. Finally called my bank but as they were investigating, the 3 bracelets arrived. I will pay for my order and they will be gifts, but I probably won't order in the future if it is that hard to correct a simple error I do NOT remember making right away. Sara Kahn

Really did not feel like the organization did or said as much as it did not to mention the materials they say have been recycled and returned as a bracelet seems a bit misleading too. Going on my gut as it rarely is wrong

shipping long but wonderful cause
shipping took long but the products are great and in the end, the point is the cause? we are spoiled by amazon getting our stuff shipped sometimes within a day. folks should consider that that our comfort is actually terrible for the environment on a long run... thanks for what you do 4ocean
I am a 60 year old…
I am a 60 year old Vegan/Environmentalist and have been for over 40 years. I donate over 25% of my earnings to animal and earth charities. This year I ordered almost $100 worth of gifts for Christmas and added extra donation money to the 4Ocean order. The order arrived on December 23. One item was missing (a soap bag, I ordered 4 bags and 4 bars of soap as well as other things) so on December 26 I contacted them to get it sent-I was asked for a photo of what I GOT!? Of course I had given everything away already, which I tried to explain in my email, and after that got radio silence. It's now been a month. No response, no item, no refund. NO DONATION EVER AGAIN!

I'm not an expert on the conservation…
I'm not an expert on the conservation of our beautiful planet nor do I claim to be a complete planet friendly human, I am ashamed to say. I could certainly do more, and I sure try. I recycle, I grow bee friendly plants, my entire family uses water bottles. We try to reduce plastic waste and aid earth saving causes that we feel are valid. I genuinely feel 4Ocean is a valid company with a great cause and tremendous effort. The concept and action of two surfer guys has cleaned up over 30 million pounds of trash in our oceans. WOW! And if I spend $200 and it helps to save one dolphin, turtle, whale or any form of ocean life, that money was well spent. If your slow shipping was your biggest complaint. I think you might need to rethink priorities. Just my opinion not trying to be abrasive. My family and friends. We will continue to support the two wave riders, their dream and their motivation that no one else had.

I have purchased bracelets and /or clothing for years. I am a firm believer in what they are doing and without this organization, our oceans would be worse off. I love the water and we need more groups like this one to tackle the problem of the constant polluting of our waterways.

Loved the idea behind this company... Bracelets were nice and lasted as long as you can expect on a teen. My son used a water bottle for years... Since 2020 and held up great except the lid. The wood on the lid rotted. Tried to purchase a new lid but they don't sell separately.... They want me to buy a new bottle. Why??? So it can sit in a landfill?? Isn't that the whole idea of this company to clean up the beaches and not fill up the landfills. But they were quick to say I could buy a new one. Kinda disappointed that instead of being truly green and sell the lids separately they want you to toss it and just pay more $$ to get a new one. All about the money!

4Ocean has an excellent business model, and the more I learn about them, the more proud I am to purchase from them, show off my products, and send people to their website. Order Not Received-No Response
Order Not Received-No Response. I placed an order for multiple items on July 4, 2023. I didn't know what to expect as far as shipping. To my surprise three days ago I received a package with most of my order. What I did not receive was the single most expensive piece of my order which was a sling bag for my daughter. I thought ok, maybe it's going to ship separately. I checked my order status on the website and the entire order says Not Fulfilled. Strange, but clearly this must be a mistake let me just call them and straighten this out. Oh wait, there is no phone number because this is a scam company. I guess I'll go ahead and submit an email through the only contact link on their website. That was three days ago and no response. Do not buy from them. They are not saving the ocean and you will not get your products.

I've been buying their products for years now! Always fast shipping and great quality for the bracelets. I bought a water bottle 6 years ago from them and it's still in great condition! Highly recommend them!

I ordered bracelets and anklet on June 9th 2023 my Visa was debited. The tracking number was not valid I have sent two messages through comments. No reply.
A further email was undelivered now today I received an email asking me if I enjoyed the anklet. I have purchased items over the last two years without incident and always been very proud to give them to my grandchildren. Your lack of delivery or follow up has really changed my view of the caring community you profess to be. Mistakes happen! That is when you show who you really are. Order #44754142

FedEx delivered the parcel to my community mail box which I did not expect.

No Response or Product
The 1st week of May, 2023 I ordered the Saks Hobo bag (Ecru Seascape). On May 5, 2023 $157.20 was withdrawn from my bank account designated to 4Ocean. To date (June 23, 2023), I have not received an order acknowledgement or the product. Over the last few weeks, I have emailed 4Ocean at the "info" email address on 2 separate occasions with no response either time. On June 22, 2023 I called 4Ocean and was directed to leave a voicemail. I left the voicemail but have gotten no response. As I feel strongly about the mission of 4Ocean and the purpose, I have ordered and received numerous products over the years (bracelets, jewelry, tumblers, apparel/shoes, beach towels, cups, etc.) with no issues. Unfortunately, I will not be ordering any further products from 4Ocean and am searching for another organization with a similar cause to support.
UPDATE: 4Ocean did respond almost immediately following my review. It's sad that it takes a review on Trustpilot to get a response?!? A big thank you to Trustpilot for providing a forum that gets results (and hopefully a resolution). Will provide further updates as things progress.....
Update 7/5/23: I received my missing order!! Although I was disappointed in the lack of response initially, I was pleased with the individual I worked with from 4Ocean to get this resolved. In spite of saying I would not order again, I did order a bracelet last week and it arrived as expected.

Feels very much like a scam
I have not received my order, and it has been weeks. The tracking number is unknown and the delivery service has no knowledge of it. Sadly, I feel completely robbed by this company. A giant bummer as my daughter asked for one thing only for her bday - and this was it. Booo!

NO RESPONSE - Customer Service
I ordered a stack of bracelets for my daughter. We HAD been regular customers and know the sizing well. I ordered the same size I have in the past and these are too big. I've emailed through their site 3 times. I've tried calling and only get a voice mail where I left a message. I JUST wanted to exchange the bracelets for the correct size and haven't had ONE response. Unfortunately, they've lost a customer because of their lack of service.
@@UPDATE - I followed the suggestion from 4 Ocean below. They are happy to exchange if I PAY to return and then pay for another set to be delivered. I'm cutting my losses! BEWARE.
@@@UPDATE - after two reviews posted, 4 Ocean offered to send a replacement without me incurring additional charges. Thank you to the customer care person who finally realized this was the right thing to do.

No complaints
As I read the reviews, specifically the low rated ones, I have to say that my experience was awesome. I placed the order and got my bracelets within 6 days. In fact, I got an email stating they'd been shipped and they arrived the next day. As for the bracelets, I really like the designs I picked out. I didn't have any issues adjusted them either. The method is very simple. Whether they hold up or not is to be determined and if they don't. You'll hear about it. Until then, no complaints.
The bracelets are nice but don’t pay any extra for shipping
The bracelets are nice, however, I had issues with shipping and was not pleased with the customer service. I had paid for express shipping which had advertised that I would receive my bracelets in 1-3 days. My bracelets arrived almost 2 weeks after I had ordered them. When I asked customer service if I could get a refund for shipping, they refused. I normally don’t sweat this stuff or pay for express shipping but I bought them as a gift for someone from out of the country and they did not arrive on time. I just personally wouldn’t recommend paying anything extra for shipping.
