New favorite Indian
I visited this restaurant with a friend on a cold December evening. Our table was pre booked and we were greeted very warmly by the staff.
There are plenty of tables and chairs in the large eating area, which are all nicely spaced out.
The toilet’s are downstairs and not that impressive, wet floor, a cold single room with a separate cubical for one each for male/female.
I didn’t notice if there was a disabled toilet on the first floor?
Once at the bottom of the stairs you can sneak a peak through the window into the basement kitchen area. Looked very efficient.
The restaurant was nice and warm, and a pickle tray was placed along side us, ordered a ‘basket’ of poppadum’s (don’t eat the weird things in the basket alongside the pops!!)
They had Cobra on draught which was duly ordered and a very nice pint indeed. Lots of drink choices behind the bar.
The server offered to help us through the menu and explain anything we didn’t understand.
There are so many delicious choices on the menu, and I ordered Laal Maans from the Chef’s specials. This is Lamb on the bone in a delicious sauce and I couldn’t get enough of it.
The rice was very tasty and prepared just right with the garlic naan (lots of garlic) cooked to perfection. I also ordered a Paratha but that was not as good as the awesome bread (bit over cooked)
All in all, I like this place, warm, friendly and very welcoming with fantastic food, it is one of the best curry’s I have had in quite a while and the chef(s) clearly knows their stuff.
My pet hate is having 3+ people asking if my meal was okay, not necessary and I was literally asked by two separate staff and a guy whom I believed was the owner.
Nice website 400dc
I will be booking again very, very soon. 9/10 and can not wait to return to try other menu options. Give it a try, you wont be disappointed.
