GREAT SERVICE.

I was happy to receive my purchased domain, after it was transferred to my registrar, on the same day payment was made. The communication was good by email, and the service was great. Will definitely have a repeat business if the opportunity presents.

Scummy company charging high prices for domains that aren’t used

I was looking to purchase a domain from this company. On the domain I was on, the minimum offer they would accept is £2000 which is ****ing terrible. The domain was registered in 2005 and used for two years before these POS decided to squat on it ever since. Phoning them up, it goes to voicemail straight away. How can you provide support when you can’t even man the phones correctly? This sole trader is clearly milking the money out of people who just want to run a website for no good reason. Avoid.

EDIT: I have seen the reply from 3DWeb. I can certainly say that what I am saying is not an exaggeration of any kind. Still going back to the domain I wanted to obtain, it's still up for sale for almost £2,000. We could be 50 years into the future and the domain in question will still be on sale for the same price by the same company. Your phone lines still go to voicemail, please don't lie. Ironically you are the one lying here, why do that?

It is very clear that TrustPilot lets absolutely anyone post on their website regardless of their crass and defamatory remarks, even trolls whom we have had no dealings with! Please ignore this "fake" review left by Mr Will Simpson, we have attempted to get it removed by TrustPilot but their business model favours negative reviews which force businesses to sign up with them. Just Google "law suits against trustpilot". Thank you.

Recently obtained 2 domans from 3D web. No problems. All worked as expected. A very informative seller website, that really explained the transfer process, and guided me through. Thoroughly recommended.

Don't waste your time!

I have been trying to buy a website from this company but to no avail. They don't reply to emails or voice messages.

Looked up the company's "office" it is a building that "virtually hosts" companies. When phoning the "office" you go through to an Indian call center that only deals with virtual office clients.

Looked up their twitter account - 3 followers.

Followed their LinkedIn button, takes you to their MDs page!

This appears to be a one man band web squatter. Wouldn't want to buy a website off them, certainly don't use any of their services.

There is no communication whatsoever. Don't risk your money.

Firstly, we are under no obligation to respond to every single domain offer enquiry that we receive, but we do our best. In this case, it was of our belief that the enquirer, Mr Shifu James Waters, was potentially a spammer or rogue entity simply looking to disrupt our business. At the time of his offer, his recorded IP address had been listed on what is called an RBL or 'Real-Time Black List', hence our hesitation to correspond with him in any form. Note, we do not normally ignore emails, or calls which we believe to be genuine.

In regard to our location, yes, we now use a serviced office address; this is specifically for delivery of our mail and to meet clients when necessary. We are not a one-man-band, we’re a small team of experienced individuals in all things web. Given what has now become "The Norm" over the last couple of years, we find that teleworking allows us to save on business premises costs, whilst increasing our productivity due to being able to work to our own individual time frames. Finally, no, we do not have a call centre based in India, LOL! We just have a simple IVR phone system, which unfortunately gets extremely busy at times. We have since responded to Mr Waters’ enquiry.

High expectations on selling price

High expectations on selling price
When I saw a domain available for a "minimum" of £299, I thought it was a worthwhile investment. I sent a query with the offer price of £299 - after quite a while I received an email saying that the domain was available to purchase - followed by a link. When I went to the link it was £2000! I replied via email - offered an extra £200 and was told that the cheapest he'd go to was £1998 - a massive £2 discount.
This domain has been cyber-squatted since 2005 so I guess the moral of the story is - good luck to 3DWeb!

We apologise for your misunderstanding of our offer terms, we did try to make it as clear as possible. It appears you are mistaking our minimum offer price, as the actual price it costs to purchase the domains. The stated £299 GBP on our offer form, is simply the minimum bid amount to qualify an offer as valid for submission. This has the advantage of preventing time-wasters and spammers. Although we do regularly accept low bid offers as a final price for a domain, they may often cost more.

In regard to cyber-squatting, this is an archaic term for what is now known as domain-investing, or free enterprise LOL! We have a substantial selection of premium domains, some our own, some our clients; all are validated as clear of trademark infringement prior to listing on our website.

We hope you find a domain more suited to your budget; however, you will most likely discover that anything of any calibre will usually cost substantially more. Quality domains are in short supply, and due to the increase in demand these past few years, the amount you have to pay to get your ideal name has risen sharply. Simply put - Good domain names cost more!
