Thank you for all your hard work

I'm very pleased with my 2 products I ordered which was the Organic African Shea Butter and the Batana Oil. I've been searching for a really good shea butter for so long after old one is not the same anymore. The shea butter combined with organic castor oil healed a spot on my are in 2 days and now looks like nothing ever happened in that area. I will definitely be ordering again. I appreciate you and all your hard work, thanks. I ordered on 2/1/26.

Quality Products + Involved Owner = Return Customer

I’ve placed three orders so far with 3CayG, and each has been a smooth and gratifying experience. The biggest draw for me was seeing how involved the owner is in the manufacturing process of their products. I haven’t found too many businesses that sell traditional health products from the African continent and are also transparent about who is making those product and in what conditions they are made. For that reason, I don’t mind the premium on 3CayG’s items. I could run down to the flea market to get some shea butter, but the person who’s selling it won’t be able to show me pictures of them actually sitting side-by-side with the people who made it. That said, I always encourage companies to be more transparent about how they pay and protect their workers. I like what I’ve seen on social media, but official documentation like an annual public sustainability and ethicality assessment would also be nice. I’ve gotten a steady supply of ABS, shea, and cocoa butter from here, and everything has arrived fresh and securely-packaged. They probably have my favorite black soap I’ve seen so far. The color is so rich, and it is pliable straight out of the box, not “ashy” and crumbly. My only real complaint is that the Saran Wrap they use is so thin it seems to almost mold into the black soap. However, it’s pretty easy to peel off. Until I find a Black-owned & operated supplier straight from the continent who ships to the U.S. and ensures their products are fair trade and their workers are treated well, 3CayG is the best compromise of quality and ethics that I have found.

This is the worse business and customer…

This is the worse business and customer service I have ever experienced in my life. They respond with the same response when you email them. They have no phone number to speak to anyone and they are always losing the packages within a system they created. They are rude disrespectful and refuse to give you a refund. The tracking information they give is always wrong packages say, delivered, on the way and still in processing all at the same time. I ordered May 29, and my package still has not arrived. I am in Louisiana, and they are in Florida. I am so disgusted!

Low Quality Butter/Lack of Customer Service

My family and I purchased 3 1lb containers of mango butter from 3cayg. The description on the website describes the mango butter's texture as creamy, rich, and emollient. It is not! The mango butter is grainy and extremely messy. The more you apply it to your skin the messier it gets. Small grainy balls of butter were on my skin and I needed a washcloth to remove them. The grainy balls of butter ended up on my clothes and on the floor. Perhaps the butter is old. I reached out to 3 cayg via email on 3/21/23 and immediately received an auto-reply stating a rep would contact me within 24hr excluding weekends. Of course I was never contacted. I called 3 cayg today 3/31/23. Explained the problems we were having with the mango butter and asked if it could be returned and exchanged for another butter. Rep replied no and if it had been used it was not returnable. How else were we supposed to determine the butter was grainy and messy other than by using it?! She then proceeded to tell me why the butter was like that and how to melt the butter and quickly cool it in the refrigerator to bring the creamy consistency as described on the website. That is not something we want or are willing to do. We thought we were purchasing a finish product! If that is indeed what is needed, then put a disclaimer on the website or advise your customer at pick up...mango butter can become grainy due to change in temperature or AGE and additional steps are needed to bring the butter back to a creamy consistency! By the way, once the product has been open/used it is not returnable. TRANSPARENCY! We normally purchased mango butter from Oslove Organics and have never received a batch that was a low or unacceptable quality. We decided to support a locally owned business....never again.

Let’s start with the are other…

Let’s start with the are other businesses that you can but these products from, without poor service! Hitch was the ultimate dealbreaker for me.

I spent a couple hundred dollars on raw African black soap, Raw Shea Butter, Cocoa Butter, Shea Nolitica, African White Cloud Soap and the products that weren’t RANCID were phenomenal! However, the Shea Nolitica was RANCID well before the expiration date, that meant absolutely nothing! I bought several of the 1 pound tubs of Shea Butter and most were really good BUT 4 were rancid due huge air pockets in the center and bottom of the container. The cocoa butter is/was phenomenal and black soap was good. But the bad items cost too much money for bad products. It was a complete waste.

But here’s the horrible part—the customer service! I reached out via email a few times just hoping to return and get replacement items, I wasn’t even looking for my money back. But out of the 3 emails I sent, not one got a response. Not one! So eventually I tried calling, and I was told that they could not help me since it was past the return window. HOWEVER, mind you that it was nowhere near close to the expiration date! Why would you not stand behind your product? Why do you even use expiration dates when they mean absolutely nothing??

Other issues:
- they don’t honor their own sales.
- they are very arrogant and smug, see their Facebook page, where they acknowledge unsatisfied customers and their only reply is “but they keep ordering”!! Like what???
- customer loyalty is not important to this company.

Moral of the story, save your money, save yourself the headache and shop elsewhere! There are other suppliers with great and identical products and great customer service!
