no service, no delivery, scam company

I have never seen such poor service from any website I have ever ordered from. I have been waiting for 4 separate products that had delivery times between 1 week and 1 month. 3 months and many mails later I have received no constructive replies, other than links to a frozen tracking for a shipment of half the order, no reply about the second part of the order, and no attempt to facilitate the shipment stuck in transit. Starting to think I have been scammed, and regret ever purchasing from 1001hobbies.

Misleading ‘pre-orders’ and refusing refunds

I placed a so-called "pre-order" (in reality just an existing product they don’t have in stock, so they order it after you’ve already paid, kind of like dropshipping).
Delivery keeps getting delayed again and again — now more than 4 months (!) — and when I asked for a refund they refused.

They hide behind their Terms & Conditions, but those cannot override EU consumer law. In other words: their policy is illegal.

Avoid this shop at all costs. If you’re in the EU and face the same issue: contact the European Consumer Centre (ECC). Wouldn’t recommend even if my life depended on it.

I ordered an item at 1/8/2025

I ordered an item at 1/8/2025. On the website 8 items were available. So I thought I would receive it right away. After one week with no communication they said it needed to be ordered at a supplier. And they gave me a new date 19/8. This date came and went. I tried to contact them again. No more reaction. And the telephone number seems to be fake. So i guess the money is gone.
My adivise stay away from this website

Absolute scam

Will not refund money. The item is no longer available (2 items still available on the site. That's 1 more than when we ordered it).
Also claimed it's due to pre-order, which it is not.
An absolute scam of a site.

Scammers

Scammers, after months they never send the products and keep your money. Their phone contact is in France and is just a machine. They don't respond personally only via chat robot.

Pure oplichters en scammers

Pure oplichters en scammers. Je besteld en betaald, daarna hoor en zie je niets meer van ze. Telefoonnummer in Frankrijk is niet in gebruik, het nummer in Nederland geeft altijd hetzelfde bandje te horen met krom taalgebruik.
Antwoorden op emails komen overduidelijk vanaf een chatbot. Mensen, trap er NIET in!

De véritables escrocs et arnaqueurs! Vous commandez, payez, et pluis plus de nouvelles. Le numéro de téléphone en France nést pas utilisé, celui aux Pays-Bas diffuse toujours la meme bande sonore avec un langage grossier. Les réponses aux e-mails proviennent clairement dún chatbot. Ne vous laissez pas avoir!

Pure crooks and scammers! You order and pay, then you don't hear from them anymore. Phone number in France is not in use, the number in the Netherlands always plays the same tape with crooked language. Answers to emails clearly come from a charbot. People, do NOT fall for it!

Terrible return procedure and no money back

The return procedure is terrible. When emailing customer service, I get generic emails back that do not address the email I sent. Then, my package has been with them for a week and I still haven't got my money back and they don't reply to my emails. Don't buy from here!

Ordered some bag

Ordered some bag, said it was in supply, but that doesn't mean you get it fast here. Now after ordering it says i have to wait another 8 days. By that time the price has already gone down elsewhere (which it did! 10 bucks less). Also paid extra for home delivery, but for some reason it states standard delivery (which is at some pickup point, i hope not because I have a hernia and cannot walk that far). So I guess I'll just cancel my order and hope to get my money back and get it on Amazon instead. No webshop should take 10 days to deliver something, if they do, it's usually BS, they don't have anything in supply.

constant lies, no refund, difficult to contact

I ordered a product and they told me that it wasn’t in stock and they couldn’t get it delivered, I asked them for a refund and ever since they constantly make up something different, lies after lies. I had to contact them several times on different days, each time they lie about my refund and the process of it. They told me to seek contact today with them as they would get a response from their financial department and bank regarding my refund, and now they’re not responding anymore. I still have yet to receive my money back from these scammers in hopes they still have the deceny to send me back my money before I take further actions.

Did I Just Get Lucky?…or Has 1001 Hobbies Improved Their Business Model?….or What?

Well perhaps I was just one of the lucky ones, but I placed an order with 1001 Hobbies just barely over a week ago and received it today (not bad at all for an overseas transaction) in perfect condition - accurate contents which were packaged very well. This is one rare case where I’m glad I didn’t check the reviews first or I likely wouldn’t have ordered, but as it turned out I couldn’t have asked for a smoother purchasing experience .

Thank you 1001 Hobbies for a pleasant and smooth transaction. You are A+++ in my book anyway.

Very disappointing and lost my trust

Although the product I ordered was in stock according to the website, I had to wait more than a month for delivery. And that actually without any notification that the product was delayed, because I only received that after my first call. They said that there were delivery problems and that the product would arrive the following week. When I called a second time, two weeks later, I was told the same thing. It was only after I sent a message to customer service that I put them in default and wanted my money back that I received a message shortly afterwards that my order was on its way.

I have been very satisfied with my previous orders. But this was such a nasty, energy-consuming experience... I don't want that anymore...!

Misleading company

Misleading company. They say things are available but they still need to be ordered. Very misleading and then can only issue refunds that could take a month to get. Ridiculous. AVOID!!! Same company as 1001Puzzles.

Made a preorder - cancelled after release

Made a preorder, but of course when I didn't receive anything after release I emailed and the conclusion was: yeah we won't deliver this product. It's about Pokemon packs and the situation is you can't buy 6 packs for 30,- right now which I preordered, they canceled it. But you can buy 4 loose packs for 24,- very suspicious

Very bad experience

Very bad experience, I made a pre-order that was stated to be released in February then it was delayed after my order to October, they refused to refund me the full amount saying they have to deduct 25% of the order value as handling fees! I ended up getting store credit to make another order for something already in stock.
one more thing there is no return policy in their website like any decent online store

2 months later and still waiting for a refund

I was super happy to have found the building models I wanted. Sadly, they were delivered to a pickup location too far from my home for me to collect them, this is obviously not the company's fault. However, the parcel was returned to them and more than 2 months later I have not received my refund. I have contacted them via email several times, every time I receive and answer in a different language and no solution. The phone number on their website does not work so there is no other way to reach them than email. I would advise everyone to just avoid it and go to your local game shop instead.
