Paid £182.88 for certified translation of 4 (A4) pages based on an agreed quote.
After payment, I was informed extra charges were required because the company later changed how the pages were being counted, with inconsistent explanations provided afterwards.
I requested immediate cancellation, but was initially refused a refund and informed that translation had already started. Shortly after, I was then offered continuation of the service without extra payment, despite previously being told work had already begun.
Only after continued dispute and involving my bank was a full refund eventually processed.
Refund was received, however based on my experience I would advise future customers to confirm exact page count, final cost, and service terms clearly in writing before making payment.

Very disappointing experience dealing with Amanda Gray.

I paid for a birth certificate translation and received an incomplete translation that omitted essential parts of the document. When I raised the issue, I was told I would need to pay extra to have the missing section translated, despite having uploaded the entire document from the start.

Rather than resolving the problem, Amanda Gray insisted the partial translation was what I had paid for and refused a refund.

Poor communication, poor customer service, and an outcome that left me with a translation I could not use.

A generous rating after receiving another document at first with someone else's details - it's worrying to think that another client could have received my document (with my sensitive personal information!). However, a quick response and receiving my correct document were appreciated... Despite this, I had to correct the reproduction of a code, which was the main concern. Otherwise, I found that a few renderings into English were not at all idiomatic and would have quite simply benefitted from some more careful attention (a couple instances of which I suggested and the translator accepted). As a translation student myself, I do think that this accuracy is important in a service such as translation, even more so when paying! Although I ended up with a translated document, without an apology for the unprofessionalism and inconvenience of receiving someone else's document, I am uncertain whether I would use this company again...

I made a number of enquiries to companies to translate some documents, this one called me back almost strait away, the project manager was super helpful & the cost was one of the best I recieved. I sent copies of the documents & the price quoted was the price I paid, I submitted the translations to the appropriate embassy for legalistation & there was a problem, however, this had nothing to do with 001 Translations, in fact it was the information from the embassy that was incorrect, however, 001 translations were absolutely superb in their response & it was sorted, The project manager helped me all the way & it was so refreshing to have such a pleasant experience if I could give a 6th star I would, very happy here is an extra star *.

The worst experience using this company would not recommend. Translation requested and paid for the 1 day service- this did not happen despite expressing the importance of needing this to travel to see my father who has experienced an accident and is in a coma abroad. After a constant battle and chasing this up despite them knowing the stressful situation I am in as this passport is for my new born baby. They finally admitted it would be late, then translated the letter but missed important dates from the letter and are now not responding to any form of communication. The people who work here lack empathy and communication skills and now might be the reason I am unable to be with my father at a time of life and death. Issue still currently unresolved.

my lawyer confirmed that it is not as "traduction agréé" acceptable in Quebec and i remember when i called last week I CLEARLY asked the lady " is this service or your office stands for a Bureau Agréé in Quebec" THEN OPTED FOR THIS SERVICE...and she clearly said yes it is that is why i opted to proceed, but now my lawyer said it is not at its also shows American which is not certified and approved in Quebec. They just said yes for the money and thats it

I requested the translation of two small documents from Portuguese to French, and fortunately, I had someone to review the translation. Many phrases were translated inaccurately, making no sense, and there were several typos as well. This company is completely unprofessional.
