I bought a brand new Toyota Corolla cross in January 2026 through Toyota main dealers Joe Lynch in Athlone.
Just recently I opened the bonnet for the first time as I needed to top up the windscreen washer and to my shock I discovered in my opinion a botched job done by Toyota with the under bonnet sealent .
I contacted the my main dealer whom informed me that this is normal with any Toyota Corolla cross when delivered.

When I got a independent opinion from an independent dealer he agreed that This is done by toyota at manufracturing level but added that it looks as if a child did it as it was done very messy in quality and poor workmanship.

Have photographs as evidence but can't upload them as the system wont allow.

My advice when checking out a show room Toyota Corolla cross or to do a test drive at main dealers, check under the bonnet before deciding to order and buy it.

Totally disappointed with my purchase of a 241 D Juke. I bought it when it was a year old in February 2025 by October warning symbols appeared. Dealership initially could not identify the problems. Eventually identified an issue with the inverter also the heating did not work. Car was booked in for repairs but the day before the car suddenly stopped in traffic with a HEV malfunction. Towed to dealership problem lay with software update which could not be got for weeks. These issues were sorted but while test driving the car a brake warning light appeared. A week later car still in dealership.
