Breakfast is terrific, beds are great. Rooms in general are very quiet. They need better window blinds. They are difficult to operate or are often non-functioning.

As highlights, I would point out their back-office work—since they handled my written requests before I arrived—as well as the check-in process with a very attentive receptionist, the lovely room with comfortable beds, and the value for money. I would also like to highlight the Asian receptionists, who were fantastic in handling my questions.
The worst part of the hotel was the poor maintenance of the facilities; one elevator wasn't working, and the building was generally neglected. I must specifically highlight the deplorable way two staff members treated guests. There was a Black receptionist working the morning shift; while he is very professional, whenever I asked him something, I had to be quick because he would cut the conversation short. I told him the hand soap wasn't working, but when I returned that evening, it hadn't been replaced. He was annoyed by my questions and laughed at me when I asked if there was any alternative to taking a taxi on the day of the transport strike. On the day of checkout, it was 10:00 AM; he pointed out that checkout wasn't until 11:00 AM but then asked if I was checking out right then. He clearly wanted me to leave the hotel. You aren't cut out for reception work, even if you are very good at back-office tasks.Another really unpleasant thing about this receptionist was that when we were leaving, I waved to him, but he lowered his head to avoid acknowledging me. Your behavior as a receptionist was appalling.
However, the absolute worst customer service I have ever seen in a hotel came from the older Dutch waiter during our final breakfast. He works hard, but he is a disaster when it comes to dealing with guests. Yesterday morning, he approached me and rudely told me not to even think about leaving food on my plate or having so many plates on the table, claiming it created too much work for him. Why do you work there, then? Do you realize I am a customer and that you have a job thanks to customers like me? You have no right to disrespect me by rudely telling me not to leave food on the table. The sweet items were terrible, and I simply didn't want to drink the coffee I’d left—end of story. If you are going to criticize a customer, remember that they are the one paying your salary and you owe them respect. You lack the manners and social graces required for a public-facing role.
I am a hotel front office manager, and I could write this review on TripAdvisor, Google, or even social media—or report it to the hotel in my own country—to complain about this horrible experience with these two employees. I won't do that, as I don't want to escalate the matter further, but I am documenting my experience here on your website for the record.
Friendly and helpful staff. Rooms comfortable. Breakfast good.
Tram stop right outside was great. Locale nearby has all you need.
Will definitely stay again

Really impressed with the hotel, check in was easy, room was spacious, very clean and had everything you needed for a short stay. Wifi was a good speed, 2 x chairs in the room complete with table for relaxing / enjoying coffee (room comes with a coffee machine and some pods, nice touch). Bed was big and comfortable. Shower room was modern, functional and also vert clean. Great hotel all round, would certainly stay again.

Me and my husband absolutely loved it. It was very close to the central with a bus. We got to know the area near our hotel, we had a shopping market, a kfc and lots of other things. This is our go to hotel now when we go again next time! Also thank you to the loveliest receiptionists we met there who were soooo helpful and smiley!

Lovely clean room, there is self check in and the atmosphere is nice and welcoming.
The location is right outside a tram station making it easy to reach Amsterdam central and other locations.

Great hotel, the location is very good there is a metro station 2 mins walk that gets you to the city center within 20mins. Clean, but unfortunately there was a bad odor coming from our bathroom. Other than that everything was fine

The location is a bit far from central station but there is tram arriving near hotel, it is convenience. The facilities all look very new, the room is clean. They early notice me there is strike on 9 Sep so i could manage my travel plan earlier, that is absolutely credit. The room rate is fair of the overall service.

We had a lovely time at XO Couture. The staff were very efficient and helpful. We arrived early was and was able to use the luggage room. Transport links were great for trams and metro into the centre and airport. The triple room was spacious and bathroom with shower was very clean and also spacious. Overall, we had a fantastic trip. Would recommend.

One of the worst hotel experiences I have had, mainly because of the reception staff.
We arrived around 12:00, before the 15:00 check-in time. The hotel advertises free luggage storage for early arrivals, and I had also indicated this when booking.
The younger male receptionist, with black hair, a heavier build and black-framed glasses, was cold and unfriendly from the beginning. He told me the luggage room was completely full and told me to take everything back to my car. I did so without arguing.
When I returned, the luggage-room door was open while another family was collecting their bags. I could clearly see inside, and a large part of the room was empty. So I had just been told it was “full” when it clearly was not. I found this extremely disrespectful and unacceptable.
When we returned around 18:00 to check in, the experience became even worse. We were two families travelling with children aged around two and three. The female receptionist, a younger-to-middle-aged woman with black hair and a fuller face, reacted very negatively to the children playing and making some noise. She looked visibly irritated, complained that she could not hear because of them, and remained cold and unfriendly throughout the check-in.
There is a big difference between politely asking parents to keep the noise down and making families with small children feel unwanted.
After these two incidents, I cannot prove what motivated their behaviour, but I was left with a strong feeling that there may have been a racist or discriminatory element to the way we were treated.
Basic hospitality, honesty and respect were completely missing. I would absolutely not stay here again.

I would really recommend this hotel. The location is a little out of the city centre, but has a tram stop outside with great links to the museum quarter and the 9 streets. It's also very accessible from the airport via Slotterdijk Station (short walk or one tram stop). The hotel was very clean, the room was very comfortable. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

Nice room, nice bath, nice people. But please tell your housekeeping if someone booked late checkout. They woke me up too early.

We would love to give you a 5-star rating, as the hotel is comfortable, well-connected to the airport and city center by public transport, and features spacious, well-equipped rooms and a fantastic breakfast. However, the worn-out, frayed towels do not live up to the hotel's standard. It’s a shame.

The breakfast was very good, the beds were large, and the bathroom was stylish and spacious. Unfortunately, the room faced the lobby, and the windows could not be opened; air circulation relied solely on the air conditioning system. There was a thick layer of dust on the coat rack and mirror, making it impossible to put down any clothes—housekeeping needs to improve in this regard. There is no wardrobe.
