Avoid ! Beverly Watkins advised us to accept a non molestation order despite being innocent to save on court fees. I was later falsely accused of breaching the order which has lead to two arrests and 24 hours in a police cell with no charge made, not Beverly’s fault there but I was NOT advised that I wouldn’t be entitled to legal aid having accepting the order through Beverly’s advice. She was aware that I was going to court to try and gain access to my daughter and all of this has hugely gone against me especially with not being able to afford legal representation. I was later advised by separate legal firms that I should never have accepted the order.

Avoid if you value communication and professionalism

I strongly advise anyone considering this firm—whether for Legal Aid or private matters—to do thorough research first (including checking employee reviews on Glassdoor).

My experience with them showed a serious lack of basic professionalism. It took them over eight weeks and three separate reminders just to respond to a basic email. Worse still, their delays resulted in a Legal Aid client receiving a significant court-issued penal notice and fine, which has remained unpaid since March 2026. Proceed with caution.

Surely if your member if staff treats people the way she has
She can go un punished or ur telling me I can’t complain ?

What have I got to do keep putting up reviews on your replies or will you give me sufficient details of where and to who I can address a complaint to about your staff again harassing me her conduct professionalism attitude

They were great with my house sale and purchase process.

continued with a consent order to the high court knowing it was untrue all so they could get their fee that they obtained through the council which is the public purse
discriminatory and rude especially the complaints manager johna thin wellington sra cannot help but advised to log a negligence claim against them as a litigation friend they refuse to remove me so my son can get help which if he does will expose their lies

We dealt with Nicholas Talboys and Morgan French at Watkins who were absolutely fantastic. Prompt and detailed replies and very through with all the queries. I’ve never received such service from any solicitors. Highly recommended for conveyancing needs!

Samantha was incredible.

We had a very tight deadline for completion and she pulled out all the stops to make it happen. Every question was answered quickly and concisely.

I reached Watkins solicitor regarding child custody with my emotionally abusive ex husband. It resulted my child is living with him now. They were calling me 5 min before the court to explain me what they will propose to the judge. Never ever replied to my emails regarding the constant abuse i was victim of by my ex. When I was calling reception to speak to my solicitor, Beverley Watkins, the reception was saying she will call you back and never called back. They made me pay for her service even though I have right for legal aids . So please don't use this firm.

Very disappointed with the service. I provided detailed information about a serious matter involving a child, and was told I would hear back, but the firm never responded, not even to confirm they couldn’t take the case. I had to follow up myself and was still ignored. For such a serious issue, the lack of basic courtesy and communication is disgraceful.

If I could give give nothing i would , complete shambles , they are only interested in easy cases and never listen and just tell you what you want to hear then dont do anything they say . If you are looking for a solicitor to act fairly and fight your case, look else where

We used Watkins Solicitors in Bristol for our first home purchase and were very disappointed with their service.

We were passed between several solicitors with little continuity. Emails were often sent to only one of us, even though we’d asked repeatedly to be included jointly. Key dates like exchange and completion were not properly communicated — we found out from the sellers first.

Documents arrived without logical order or context, the client app was never updated, and when we asked for more guidance, replies became short and curt.

After completion, we raised a formal complaint outlining these concerns. The firm dismissed every issue and took no responsibility, offering no apology or reflection.

Buying a home is stressful enough; this made it worse.
We wouldn’t recommend Watkins Solicitors Bristol to first-time buyers or anyone expecting clear communication and professional client care.

Friendly, helpful and knowledgable, after a disappointing esperience with a trainee solicitor elswhere, I was lucky to discover Samantha Finn. Working at Watkins Solicitors, she was efficient and fast and what she didn't know, she found out. This included steering a way through the bureacratic nightmare in conveyancing of a 'deed of variation.' What's more she had a sense of humour which together with Sharon the receptionist made for a good experience.

We recently used Watkins Solicitors for both the sale of our old property and the purchase of our new home, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Samantha Finn was absolutely brilliant throughout – professional, efficient, and incredibly supportive from start to finish.

If you want to receive a really poor service and have literally 0 communication in almost 18 weeks then definitely go with this firm!

Got so fed up I decided to pay the “abortion fees” and get a different solicitor.

Absolutely shocking.

They don't answer calls or e mails, and pass you around from solicitor to solicitor
I had to write an impact statement, the solicitor wrote it I didn't have any input it was grap, let me down last minute when I really needed them

If I could give zero stars I would. Prefer clients who pay privately and if you do secure legal aid your case takes a back seat. Beverley Watkins is rude and unprofessional and Emily Mitton made serious allegations about myself believing the lies of Milton Keynes City Council. I have 2 Judicial Review cases with Watkins 1 case still hasn't been resolved despite an emergency court hearing at the High Courts in London the other case has been with Watkins for over a year and hasn't moved in All that time. Watkins don't care about vulnerable children and adults who are being failed by Local Authorities unless your a private paying client and Watkins can make the headlines!! Avoid this Law Company at all costs

I would highly recommend Morgan for any conveyancing needs. Despite a complicated chain with many issues, she handled everything professionally and kept me fully informed at every stage. Morgan was always on top of things, providing timely updates, chasing other solicitors when needed. I felt completely at ease. Our exchange went smoothly thanks to her diligence and clear communication. I would absolutely request Morgan again for any future conveyancing work.

We have recently purchased a house in Hereford. From the outset our purchase was not the usual - we were returning from France after more than 20 years. In addition we had quite an ambitious target for completion. Rebecca (Wilkinson) willingly took on the challenge and provided much needed help and assurance at all stages of the process even when we were faced with really stressful issues regarding currency exchanges and limitations on the movement of funds.
