Bought a caravan from Northampton branch , 12 months warrant they said bring it back if you had a problems they would fix it under the warranty, the gas oven flame wasn’t right , when you turned the gas up it didn’t increase the flame also on the grill , they fixed it , and produce us with a bill ! Said we had gone over a pot hole , but they changed the gas adaptor in the front ,and had the oven out didn’ ring before hand just went ahead and fixed and charged us , the lock in the door was very stiff barrel came slightly out when you took the key out , said they fixed it , they haven’t . Gave us a 2nd key that didn’t fit any lockers or door. Back break light never worked wanted to charge us for a whole unit . Our experience has not been a great one . First time with the Spinney and our last . Would not buy a caravan from there again, there happy to sell you a van but not look after you after sales .This is not our 1st van been caravan if for 35 years never been treated as bad as they have . There after sales is rubbish

Had a problem with our caravan door lock which needed to be fixed urgently as we were due to be going away in the van. Spoke to Sue, at Northampton, on reception. She managed to fit us in within a few days.
We took the caravan in and were able to collect it the same day.
Cannot thank Sue enough for her help and friendliness in sorting out our problem so efficiently.
She is the sort of "front of house" person that can only give Spinney Northampton a good name.

Just brilliant!. We've been regular accessory customers for years, but we picked up our new (to us) motorhome today, and the sales team (special mention to Hannah and Barry for the comprehensive handover), the team in the accessory shop and the general service was excellent. We didn't feel any pressure at all, and every step of the process was handled perfectly. Nicely done everyone 👍

Spinney Warwickshire were excellent with our recent purchase of a caravan. Alan Blair, in sales, was informative and thorough and made the process of purchase very easy and comfortable. On the day of collection Alan Rumney did our handover. Despite being very seasoned caravanners, and extremely hot weather conditions, he took his time to ensure that every aspect of the caravan was explained fully to us. We have never had such a good handover in all the years that we have bought caravans.
We also had a card issued which gives us 20% off in any of the Spinney shops!
Would thoroughly recommend Spinney Warwickshire, and know from previous experience that the after sales will be good as we have used Spinney Northamptonshire a couple of years ago and have friends who have bought from them recently and praise their after sales, which will be the same across the company.

I brought a motorhome from Spinney, I am so glad I chose to buy from a dealership, as opposed to privately.
Everything, was prepared on time and efficiently, the aftercare service has been amazing from Barry at the Silverdale branch.

I bought a 2016 VW California from Spinney, flintshire in mid may. From day 1 there was an exhaust fume smell entering the cabin on engine start up and particularly strong under the nsf wheel arch. After about 300km the engine light came on and shortly afterwards the abs and tyre pressure lights. Reported for resolution within 2 weeks from purchase and delivered back into Spinney custody within 3 weeks. This is well within the timescales of the 2015 consumer rights act and so i expected a timely and efficient resolution of the problems with Spinney choice whether they would seek warranty compensation or not. After an agreed return to me within 10 days, now more then three weeks on, it seems investigations have not been done, its impossible to get an update and a formal e-mail to to the service manager, Charlotte has not been responded to following three business days. The issue of the smell has ample info online in respect to it being a common issue with WV diesel engines and having a relatively simple fix (egr leaks). Spinney have tried to get warranty involved for the ABS sensor but zero update. The almost structural lack of feedback, response and inaction is impressive, unacceptable and in my case seems to be becoming non compliant with the law. Do not go to these people with your hard earned cash. After sales care is at best a total joke.

Buying a caravan or motorhome is an expensive investment that requires careful thought and planning. A number of visits were made to Spinney in Warwickshire to look at their stock and prices. On each occasion we were never hurried or made unwelcome and a member of staff was always available to help if needed. On the final day we visited Richard Bulmer was available to deal with our questions and to progress an order once a decision was reached. It was not a straightforward matter with many elements but Richard dealt with everything in a calm and professional manner, leading to a price which was acceptable. Advise on available funding sources was given when requested and an introduction made which proved productive. The handover was undertaken by Alan Romney whose experience as a caravan owner and technical knowledge was invaluable and first class. Other staff members who assisted with insurance and service plan advice and assistance delivered a 5 star service hence the above rating.

My wife and I purchased a Swift Conqueror 565.
The sales man (James) was very pleasent. He talked us through various things on the caravan and was very helpful and answered any questions we had.
When we came to collect the caravan, we were introduced Dave who was a nice guy and gave us a very in depth handover making sure we understood how everything worked.
He was patient and answered all our questions.
When we got the caravan home, we had to get it loaded that day as we were going away in it that afternoon.
Whilst loading the caravan we started to notice one or two things that we would have expected to have been put right.
There was only 2 screws holding the slide out rack in the cupboard under the sink and the rack wouldn't slide in and out properly due to the it coming away from the tracks.
The wooden panelling on the front of the bed was coming apart at the corner.
All the locks on the lockers and the rams at the side of the all the windows had been sprayed with WD40, but any excess hadn't been wiped and consequently all of the windows and all of the locks and locker doors have now got greasy streak marks down the side of the caravan.
We we told the caravan would be cleaned. I think that basically means wipe the worktops, hoover the mats and spray some nice air freshener, because the caravan looked nice on the surface, and smelt nice to, but as we started to put things in the drawers and cupboards we found that they hadn't been cleaned at all. There were crumbs, dirty marks and grease marks that we had to clean.
After we were loaded we did have a great weekend away. That said when we got to the place we were stopping at, I went to put the legs down but the winder that fits on the stablizer legs was missing .
Luckily I was able to borrow one to get the legs down.
I reported this to Spinney and they apologised and sent one out to my house by courier.
Generally speaking were are very happy with the caravan and with Spinney, but they just let themselves down on a couple of points. The biggest issue for me was the cleaning. When you are spending that amount of money I would expect it to have be thoroughly cleaned.
All that said, we would like to say thank you to spinney for our new caravan which we really love.
Phill and Caroline.

David the caravan introduction specialist was very knowledgeable and provided a very thorough introduction to our new caravan. The only negative aspect of our whole experience with Spinney Caravans was the delivery date. We were originally told our caravan would be ready for collection in mid May, then the end of April, then late May. In the end it wasn’t ready until late June which caused some concern as we booked a holiday using the caravan only a week later, which made it difficult to equip in time. I’d would rather have been told it would be ready later than earlier as this would have given me the opportunity to choice other holiday options this year.

Barry, our salesman was very helpful in every way he could be. He gave us all the time we needed to go through everything to do with our purchase and we did have a lot of questions as the tech in caravans has increased so much since we had our last one. All the staff involved at the branch were very friendly and helpful including Paul in the spares / sales dept.
We are very grateful to Barry for his friendly and patient support and cannot thank him enough. We wish Barry and the team well and though it is a long way from where we live, it would be nice to keep in touch by having our caravan serviced at his branch.
I do not understand why the Newcastle under Lyme branch is not listed or I would select it.

Right from finding the right layout to negotiating on the price, service, presale valet, presale repair of any niggles and full 1 hour handover and instructional tour. These guys were great. Just picked up my used caravan, fiddled with everything and it all just works perfectly!! What a class company employing, happy, knowledgeable staff. Big shout out to Gary for the 1 hour instructional tour and the service team for jumping all over the few niggles I had. Perfect guys, thank you!!
