They are taking the micky now. The gym in Leicester city is an absolute shambles. Dirty facilities and litter is often left around the gym and even in the showers. There is mould. It’s full of kids who leave it in a state and the staff don’t care. They just sit on their phones.

Paying for the plus membership is pointless because the water machine never works. Then they email you saying that their gym in Thurmaston (Leicester) is no longer accessible with the multi gym membership even though that is the whole point of paying more. I would avoid and go with someone else that has standards. It is only getting progressively worse and they have the cheek to charge you more, take away the ability to access multiple puregyms even when you pay for that access along with having disgustingly poorly run facilities. Avoid at all costs and go somewhere else.

After being a loyal member of PureGym for 10 years, I've had to leave because of targeted harassment by a female personal trainer & failure of duty of care by management at this gym.

I told this PT I thought she had lost weight but she took offence to this compliment & started screaming at me while I was stood outside my shower stall. She blocked my path & cornered me, mocked my voice & mannerisms & aggressively pinched her own stomach to shame my body.

I kept telling her I meant it as a compliment & repeatedly said sorry but she didn't leave me alone. She started shouting lies accusing me of always commenting on her body even though I've only had "hi and bye” & very limited interactions. I had to remind her that she is a PT & she screamed, "What has my job got to do with it?”

That response right there says everything about who she is. Its clear she is operating from a very dark place. People in her job role should never behave like this esp over a compliment. Usually when someone says sorry, a mentally stable person would accept the apology & walk away.

Another girl came up behind her to ask me if I was ok & this PT got so scared & only left me alone once this girl intervened. She did this to me because she thought we were alone. When this witness was speaking to me this PT was walking around in the changing rooms still saying stuff about me & giving me the death stare as I was drying my hair. I have good intentions & would never hurt anyone, so I cant imagine what she would do to someone who has bad intent.

When I told her she lost weight she said “its better than putting it on”. So she is shaming the very people who come to her for help. She made it out as though what I said was the most cruel thing someone can ever say. But now I know it was because she got caught doing a bad thing & needed to get herself out of it by being the victim to the managers.

I seriously feel like if that witness didn't come up this PT would have actually physically hurt me because the more I was saying sorry the angrier she got & she seemed like she was getting out of control. I was about to have a panic attack & wanted to start crying because of how much distress she was causing me.

I cant believe this is the reaction I got just because I told a PT she has lost weight. We look up & admire those who are in job roles like that because we want to look like that too. It was a harmless compliment but she found an issue in it, which says everything about who she is & how she works.

Even when I came in the time after this incident she was giving me evil looks & sent her PT boyfriend to come & eavesdrop on a convo between me & another PT who warned me that they keep a distance from her because of how toxic & volatile she is & that she does this to female PTs too but is good with the male staff. She also has a history of doing this at the Bury New Road branch which is why they had to move her here. When this bully PT saw me talking to this other PT she suddenly began being very friendly & laughing w/ this PT as a tactic to find out what I had said.

She is in a job role like this yet struggles to regulate herself when someone means well. People use the gym for mental health reasons yet she could do this to someone whose mental health is very bad or those who pay her for help & she is fat shaming & having screaming matches with them when no one is around to witness her true colours.

I have had amazing experiences with Tita & Cara. Aiysha & Effy are always super smiley & Jade has been helpful too.

But the last time someone has done this to me was in high school. I feel I need to warn future victims since people like this always have them especially because she has been given the green light for her behaviour so I wouldn’t be surprised if she does this again.

PureGym advocates the whole safe space but have a staff who is doing this to paying members & what makes it worse is that those who should be doing something about it couldn't care less. This gym is a dangerous place because they are making up lies to cover her up. To make it worse the gym didn't bother to ask the witness her side of the story.

The safe space manager told me she is not a PT (its an excuse to allow her to get away with this) but she is on the Cheetham hill instagram & her name is displayed on the PT boards in the gym. The main manager at this branch (not Alex) actually told me she is very good to him (trying to invalidate me) & that I should move elsewhere. Both of these managers could have done alot more but didn’t so it feels like a form of prejudice for people protecting their own

This is scary because she is clearly saying or doing something that is allowing her to get away with such extreme behaviours esp because there is a history of her doing this at another branch. She is a bully. The people who are letting her get away with this are bullies. Treating people like this when your in work is disgusting.

Friendly, helpful staff, make you feel welcome. Great range of gym equipment everyone should be able to achieve their personal fitness goals.

Another excellent class at lunch time, 3rd this week. worked so hard, every class is different and I just love the variety of circuits, works every part of the body and the finisher at the end today was tough.

Not enough for everyone but if it fit for you it perfect

It's very good value for money the machine are in good condition and the gym is always clean. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

I have a brilliant PT at the Brentford Pure Gym. Her name is Amz and she really motivates me. I now enjoy going to the gym!

I like the location, there is all the equipment I need and I really like the 24 hour access. Showers are a bonus and useful to me.

Wow Thanku Charlotte gough for great strength class today, was full, was amazing electric, we all members enjoyed, she just brings the best out of everyone, great motivater a shinning light, big asset for Pure gym wakefield.

Such a welcoming gym I feel so at home here. The encouragement the staff give are honestly INSANE!!!

Naz and Alison have honestly gave me such a drive to get fitter. They make it FUN and inclusive they feel like family. They deliver the most wonderful classes with so much insight into what areas we will be targeting. What a joy to get to train with these POWERHOUSES!!!!!

Their clientele are disgustingly. Always use the disabled spaces and don’t have a badge. Watched one very muscled guy amble in the few feet from the disabled spaces and he used. I had to park away and when I got back to my car another testosterone idiot had parked well over the line so I couldn’t open my door. When I asked ho to moved he got all mouthy with a middle-aged, disabled woman. I will not use anymore

it was great. It would be even better if there was tissues in the restroom and sanitizing liquid and wipes available to wipe down machines after use like it is in the other gyms in Hounslow.
