No water station working 🤮

Staff do undertake regular maintenance checks and work hard with our equipment providers to ensure that our equipment is fixed as soon as possible, if any should be broken. We are equally as disappointed when this happens and sometimes need to wait on engineers but will have all equipment in full working order as soon as is safely possible. If you have any concerns about the facilities at this branch, please notify staff on site as soon as you can. Fantastic team to work with.
But they need to lower their rental PT charges and look out for PT who are struggling during transition from end of last year. Our gym constantly losing PTs and gym instructors after 3-5months in. PureGym gets enough financially to ease burden on their employees who want to stay long term but cannot afford to.

I was not informed in writing of the…
I was not informed in writing of the work taking place affecting multiple rooms in gym, incl ladies changing/showering facilities. Work took 1-2 weeks. Members of said branch should have been written to in advance and given discount on that month's membership due to poor facilities/basic available. I ended up cancelling my membership due to this.

Refurbishment = WORSE customer experience!
I am SO disappointed by this refurbishment. Weeks of disruptions to end up with....
LESS space in the male changing room (and it's no longer possible to adjust the temperature of the shower, fewer shower cubicles), LESS privacy as the only area in front of the lockers is also the access to the toilets!!!
LESS space for male members with a new HUGE area reserved for women (I guess that PureGym FAILED to address unwanted male attention issues - I don't know how women will feel in the general gym areas they still have to use).
PureGym must have spent a substantial budget on this refurbishment, only to make the experience WORSE for most members. it's a FAILURE in terms of customer experience. Shame, shame, shame
Fix it or I will take my money elsewhere!

Needs a good refresh of showers, lockers and the rest in the changing rooms
The gym has a good selection of machines and weights, however the changing rooms are a disaster: stale air with filthy smell, shower moxers are half-broken, impossible to adjust without fear of breaking them comletely, shelf for the shampo was all rusty and hanging on it last breath, wating fall off really soon, the lockers are mostly too small and all tatty and rusted inside. Cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired.

PureGym! Great Atmosphere, and could enhance Equipment & Cleanliness"
PureGym generally has a welcoming and easy-to-navigate environment, making it great for solo workouts. The staff are usually friendly and approachable, and the gym offers a variety of equipment spread across two floors allowing you to choose based on your workout focus.
That said, the gym could benefit from upgrading some machines, such as adding a dedicated hip thrust machine or an extra leg press, which are common in many other gyms. Additionally, it would be great to see PureGym incentivize tidy behavior, perhaps by supporting staff in encouraging members to re-rack weights and clean up after themselves. This would help maintain a cleaner, more organized space for everyone.

We always aim to provide a broad spread of kit to cater to a range of fitness needs and meet demand as it changes through the day, getting the balance right between weights and cardio, but if you have any specific suggestions please approach the Gym Manager or leave a note in the feedback box, which is regularly reviewed. It is also in the gym rules that members should return their own weights or risk suspension, but at peak times especially it can be hard to police this. However, staff on site do everything they can while we also have CCTV monitoring the free weights and are looking for new ways to combat this. Thanks, PureGym Thanks, PureGym.

Great Gym with great staff.
I had purchased a day pass as I live in the USA and UK, I was previously a member of spelthorne gym but didn't renew my membership as they haven't fixed their sauna yet, so slow. I decided to go to Pure Gym. Purchased my day pass yesterday middsy but didn't relise that it's only valid for 12 hours, after waiting 5 minutes as could not access the gym, the staff member Russell came downstairs and very kindly let me in as I was going to return home disappointed. Such a fantastic guy, not only is he a great ambassador for the company but he has definitely gained a new customer with his professional attitude and kind heart. Russell Houston is a huge asset to the company and should definitely get a bonus if not a promotion. As I will recommend Pure Gym to everyone I know. The machines are really good, not that busy in the mornings. Changing rooms are about 5 times bigger that the cupboard I'm used to at Spelthorne Leisure Centre. Really clean as well. I didn't have high expectations about Pure Gym but I was pleasantly surprised. Really good gym, with loads of machines. Great staff as Luke kindly let me out as I couldn't use my pin as it had expired yesterday mid night. Really a superb gym, with a fabulous superr star personal trainer, Russell Houston and manager Luke. I shall definitely return.

literally unable to cancel my membership
no matter what i do, how i do it, it refuses to let me log into my account to cancel it, ive tried the old pin on the first email.

We're sorry to hear you've had some trouble cancelling your PureGym membership. As a non-contractual gym company, we give our members the flexibility to cancel their membership on a month by month basis. If you have a membership which you pay monthly via direct debit, you can cancel your membership online on our website, although this must be done at least 4 working days before your next payment is due. Alternatively, you can cancel your direct debit with your bank directly.
If you have a fixed term membership, you will need to get in touch with our Member Services team so that they can action the cancellation on your behalf. They can be contacted at member.services@puregym.com.

What a fantastic gym!
Staines pure gym is a great gym regardless of your fitness level. Pure gym offers various classes to suit the person's needs.
The gym is always clean, just like the changing rooms. The vending machines are always stocked. The gym floor is always tidy no plates of dumbbells left lying around.
The weight room has a wide variety of machines to suit any workout plan you have. 1 thing I really appreciated about staines Pure gym is how well they look after their equipment... if a machine is faulty it'll get fixed in no time.
If you want to become a new you & want to up your fitness, David hogan the manager always willing to help anyone out if they are interested

MACHINES NEED SERVICING
Not enough squat racks. Only 3. Not enough weight discs per rack. Had to scavenge from other racks for extra 20kg discs.
The leg extension and seated leg curl machines were worn out. The little bolts to hold the pad down kept popping out.

No sanitising wipes
Used this gym on a one day pass. Facilities were good and would have got 5 stars but only let down by lack of sanitising wipes and drink stations.
