Kayley and Kieron are amazing!
This is by far the best gym around in Reading! Everyone is super friendly, there's loads of equiptment and areas to workout so you're never waiting and the PT's are all amazing - especially Kayley and Kieron! Both their classes and individial PT sessions are perfect for anyone of any ability!

Too hot and unhygienic environment
Always problems with the air conditioning. You walk through the doors and the heat hits you, this gym is warmer than my house! It's a really uncomfortable environment to work out in. Occasionally during my work out you can feel the air conditioning come on, but the temperatures is inconsistent, the air conditioning needs to kick in much sooner. I do weights but cannot do CV work and have stopped doing the circuit classes, which I loved, as I get too hot.
There used to be announcements about wiping down gym equipment, they've stopped and regularly there are no paper towels or cleaning spray. Today, not only were all the cleaning sprays empty, the ladies toilets had no soap. It's so unhygienic for a gym to not have these basic items and to encourage people to clean equipment after use.
The positives are it's a friendly gym, the staff are great, really helpful and approachable. The gym is kept tidy. Kayley Cook is amazing and her classes are fantastic.

Good range of equipment and parking is…
Good range of equipment and parking is good. It’s always so hot in there, it really puts me off when working out. As soon as you walk in, the air feels sterile and warm and when you start working out, it feels like you’re about to pass out. So for that reason, I am going to avoid and go elsewhere.

PT sessions with Zuza
I have recently finished a block of PT sessions with Zuza as I wanted to build my strength. Zuza was so friendly and helped me feel at ease, she listened to what I wanted to achieve and carefully planned with new ideas, variations and guidance whilst always pushing me to my max. Working with Zuza has given me the confidence I needed to work out in the functional area and free weights. Thank you so much Zuza.

Showers cold, no air con
Showers are cold and air con is never on. If these 2 things could be resolved this gym would defo be 5 stars. Gym is great. Staff are great.

Great gym
I use this gym two days a week when I’m in the office and I love it. The staff (especially the two female PTs and the guy with longer hair) are super friendly and the changing rooms/gym are pretty clean and everything works/gets fixed quickly. It doesn’t feel clicky or intimidating. I prefer this so much to my local one as the atmosphere is so much better, it’s not as busy and the staff are so much friendlier. I am actually considering driving out on my wfh days as it’s that much better. The only thing I’d change is the heating is just a bit too high, it would be great if they could turn it down a little.

We have recently made slight changes to the shower temperatures, to 33 degrees, both to control our energy usage and to reduce our carbon footprint. All member feedback is reviewed, and brought to the attention of our Facilities team, who regularly review any changes we make to our gym facilities, and we would like to thank you for passing on these concerns.

STOP THE ZUMBA
Great gym but the workout classes end about 30 minutes later (especially Zumba) then scheduled. This is annoying to me and a lot of other people as it prevents use of the studio. Which I use for a lot of my workout. It's getting to the point that I can't complete my workout. Please do something about this or at-least update the website . Otherwise great gym xxx Linda

Great atmosphere
Great atmosphere. People are there to train, good equipment and accessibility too. Trainers are helpful if needed but don't chase constantly. Great gym.

Great Gym
This gym is great, I am part of the early morning lot lol, and met some great people. Most of the staff are pleasant, however, the main two are Kayley and K the PTS. Always go out of their way to smile and make you feel good and very approachable. Only minors are, management could do with listening to customers as I have mentioned the state of men's changing room which is filthy most of the time with nothing being done, there is always a massive staff change since me being there and I feel that they could be looked after better and treated better if you want the honest truth as retention rate is not great. Other than that great gym , spacious with great atmmosphere

I really like this puregym
I really like this puregym, there is a really friendly atmosphere and I feel comfortable. The staff do say hello and smile.
Lots of equipment and it's spacious, when I go between 6-7 in the morning.
