Absolutely disgusted with treatment, PureGym Crayford.
Extremely disappointed with PureGym Crayford. Despite paying my membership every month, I frequently experience issues accessing the gym due to my membership or entry code not working. This has happened on multiple occasions and has been ongoing for some time.
I have repeatedly attempted to contact staff and management to resolve these issues, but communication has been poor and responses are slow or nonexistent. As a paying member, I should not be turned away from the gym or left chasing basic access to a service I am already paying for.
In addition to these ongoing problems, I have also experienced racial abuse within this gym, which is completely unacceptable and deeply distressing. I reported this matter, yet no meaningful action or follow-up was taken. A gym should be a safe and inclusive environment for everyone, and PureGym Crayford has failed to uphold this standard.
The lack of reliability, accountability, and basic customer care is unacceptable. I expected far better from a large gym chain. Until these issues are properly addressed, I cannot recommend this gym.

Our Member Services team work hard to get through all messages and aim to be back in touch as soon as possible to assist with any concerns you have with accessing the gym to ensure things run smoothly going forward. During staffed hours, you can also press the buzzer on the Easy Access doors for assistance on sit, but please keep in mind that our PTs may be running PT sessions and classes, so can’t always answer immediately.
We have a zero-tolerance policy on any form of harassment or inappropriate behaviour and take any concerns of this nature seriously. We ask that any concerns are raised with the gym manager directly, or to safespace@puregym.com; a confidential means of alerting us to any behavioural concerns. We please ask that you get in touch with further details, to allow us to conduct into this matter. I had an extremely upsetting and unacceptable experience at PureGym Crayford. I attended the gym with the intention of signing up for a membership, however I was met with racially abusive and discriminatory treatment from a member of staff.
The way I was spoken to made me feel humiliated, distressed, and unwelcome. No one should ever be treated in this manner, especially in a professional environment that claims to promote inclusivity and respect.
Because of the distress caused, I was unable to complete my visit or even register my vehicle using the system inside the gym. I left the premises shaken and deeply upset.
This experience has completely destroyed my trust in this branch and in PureGym as a brand. Management urgently needs to investigate staff conduct, provide proper equality and diversity training, and ensure this never happens to anyone else.
I would strongly advise PureGym Crayford to take accountability and address this seriously.

Disappointed with this branch. The car park signage is confusing — “3 hours free parking” is very prominent, but the requirement to register your vehicle inside the gym is small, hidden, and easy to miss. As a new member, it’s easy to overlook the small pull-up banner near the desk, and there are no other signs inside. The gym manager cannot help at all with parking fines, so you are basically on your own fighting against Countrywide Parking’s unfair fees. Very frustrating experience. Waiting for the IAS appeal and will cancel the membership. PureGym doesn't care about their members.

As this car park is not owned by PureGym and has restrictions in place, we take measures to try and ensure members are aware of this. Further to the information on the gym home page, we have ensured these restrictions are clearly displayed in the car park, and there is also signage in the gym, and a 7 foot banner on entry to the gym. The car park is operated by a third party company in which we do not have any affiliation with. Therefore, we are unfortunately unable to cancel such tickets. Information regarding parking is available on the home page of any PureGym which offers parking. The correct parking procedures must be followed, to avoid a parking ticket. We would always advise that you appeal the fine and explain the circumstances. If you get in touch with Member Services, we can also provide you with an appeal document which will be an official letter from PureGym Head Office, stating that you are a member of PureGym and your attendance log for the date in question, will also be provided as proof to show you were in the gym. If your appeal is rejected, we would suggest submitting a case with POPLA. POPLA are an independent appeals process which works with the Ombudsman Service. They investigate whether this fine was issued correctly in accordance with the terms and condition of the car park; whilst reviewing evidence provided in the appeal. On the rejection notice, there should be a 10-digit verification code, and you will then be able to submit an appeal with POPLA via their website: http://www.popla.co.uk/poplaappealprocess. Although we cannot guarantee they will cancel the fine, we do hope for a positive outcome. Thanks, PureGym.

Overall great idea for a 24h gym but the one at Crayford need a bit love. Cleaning could be done better and equipment in better condition

The staff were also really approachable. My friend couldnt get in and a member of staff who hadnt even started her shift yet came to help with no complaint.

My daughter has joined
My daughter has joined, no enrolment, safety equipment run through or where the fire exits are! This is very bad especially when it’s a teenager who is a new joiner!

We always advise that new members have an induction to ensure they are familiar with the lay out of the gym and understand how to use the different pieces of equipment. Inductions are usually placed on the class time table. You can also get in touch with the Gym Manager via email, and an induction can be arranged for a specific date and time. Alternatively, members are able to speak to the staff in the gym (if they are not on the gym floor, please feel free to knock on the staff room door) and have an induction. Thanks, PureGym

Received parking penalty for apparently…
Received parking penalty for apparently not registering my car whilst using gym almost 2 years ago . Case is dragging on and I’m receiving threats for it to be taken further . Seems very unreasonable considering I was a client at that time with multi gym access and my home gym was under renovation and management advised me to use Crayford branch . Parking pitch black with absolutely no lights and no signs visible at night and I’m expected to know that I have to register my car unlike at my home gym. Staff and management absolutely unhelpful with this matter .

So simple and easy to sign up online
So simple and easy to sign up online. Super affordable. Plenty of equipment. Off-peak hours are very reasonable. Didn't need to meet any staff in person and didn't need to sign any physical paperwork. Completely seamless experience.

Overall Pretty Good
Overall, I'd say it's been a positive experience. I use the gym in Crayford and pretty happy with it.
However, it is very cold at times so I'm not sure if they're trying to save on the heating bill.... I have to wear a couple long sleeve shirts to stay warm.
Otherwise, the equipment is all in good condition. But I'd like to see some body building classes in addition to the ones they have.
