MG Building Maintenance Reviews 

I have just moved to the area and I needed an emergency plumber. I called MG Building Maintenance and they came within a couple of hours (excellent service) the plumber Kristian was very knowledgeable and helpful, he identified the leak and repaired it the following day.
I will be using MG Building Maintenance team in the future for all the work needed in my home. Would highly recommend them.

The 3 tradesmen, plasterer, coving fitter and decorator all did a brilliant job. Scheduling and communication could be improved

I've now had MG Building Maintenance do 3 jobs for me, the most recent being a new shed with concrete base, and I'm really very pleased with it. I've also had new fencing in the garden, and some internal decorating done by them in the last year or so. Everybody I've dealt with at MG has been polite and helpful, from the office team to the workmen who came to do the work. I'll definitely be using MG again, there's no fuss, no bother, they turn up when they say they will, and they do a very good job.

Arrived on time. Worked quickly and efficiently. Polite and friendly. Fence looks good. All old Fence removed.

I have recently had my bathroom redone. I had my bath taken out and replaced with a shower. The guys altered the size of the window to accommodate the shower. They reused the tiles that were inside on the windowsill and you’d never know that the window was altered. I am thoroughly impressed with how quickly the job was completed as all the men worked hard and helped one another. Special shout out to ‘Bush’ who worked his socks off installing the shower, he couldn’t do enough for me and cleaned up after himself. Every night before he went home he left the place tidy as it is my only bathroom. Would highly recommend MG Maintenance for any house improvements. Was that impressed with the service I am due to have my driveway resurfaced by them too.

We had several jobs done at the same time, so had several different tradesmen involved. The work was carried out very professionally and we are very happy with the outcome. We hope to use them again in the future.

After having been let down by other carpenters, when needing a bedroom completed, I dropped in to the Downham branch and explained what I needed doing, the lovely lady (sorry forgot her name, may have been Janice) she arranged very quickly for a carpenter. I visited on Monday, by Tuesday Craig the carpenter had been allocated the job. He was really friendly, very professional and completed the job in a day and half. Left everything tidy and the bedroom's fitted furniture looks great. It took just under 3 days of speaking to them to have the job completed, we had been attempting since mid April to get it fitted. I have nothing but praise for everyone I dealt with. I highly recommend them.

If we could give 10 out of 5 we would! From start to finish MG were brilliant. We had lost faith in anyone being able to complete our window installation in our Victorian cottage. We’d had a couple of companies who’d said they could do the job but it transpired that they didn’t have the expertise. However, after Mark inspected the job he gave a realistic and reasonable quote which we were very happy with considering the extent of work needed. Every one of the team, from the brickies to the office staff were professional, thorough, friendly and a pleasure to deal with. This sounds really gushy (and believe me I’m not a gushy guy) but MG have made me have faith and pride in the Great British work force again! Thanks again!

Needing inspiration on the design, but not being able to find anyone we felt had the right ideas. We knew when we met Mark and Emma, they were the people we could trust with our project. From the initial visit, Mark was competent and enthusiastic with his unique ideas for something different. Exactly the type of company we were looking for. Every worker was experienced and conscientious with their part of the job. We would have no hesitation recommending MG Building Maintenance and would use them for any work we would need in the future.

bathroom extractor fan replacement, took a long time to arrange a date but the work was completed on time to stated budget so very happy

We had exterior and interior work carried out by MG. The exterior work was excellent, very pleased with outcome. The interior work took longer than planned because of an issue. However the issue was rectified and we are pleased with the final result. The MG representatives on site were hard working; explained what was happening and left the work areas clean and tidy. Happy to recommend MG Building .

I'd asked for a basic job to be done, MG made some recommendations which didn't cost any more, but made the job really special. MG turned up when they said they would, they completed the job on time, the workers were helpful, pleasant and nothing was too much trouble. The work was as they promised, on schedule and on price. I would highly recommend them and will be using them again.

Mark and his team worked tirelessly in oppressive weather conditions to refurbish an area of our school. The results are outstanding and completed in a timely fashion and a thorough clean up on completion. MG come as highly recommended - simply excellent !

We now have a fabulous new resin drive and patio, which MG completed while we were on holiday. We came home and WOW thank you MG we are so pleased with the work, and our neighbours are impressed as well.

Very impressed with MG Building Maintenance. Without exception, everyone that I had contact with within the company were a pleasure to deal with.
Work started very quickly on the bungalow and was finished within the quoted timescale.
I would have no hesitation in recommending MG to anyone.

"On the day of completion, Sean (our site manager) came over and checked the whole site with you to make sure you were happy with everything and we left site with the understanding that you were happy with it all."

That is just not true, I highlighted the issues to Sean who said he would resolve them.

Working with MG was a pleasure from start to finish. They replaced the trim on the porch and carport with PVC and handled every step with expertise. They delivered a high-quality,professional job and we absolutely love the results. Craig and his team were very professional and a credit to the company.

Staff came on site very quickly and did an excellent job very speedily. Only downside is that they are quite expensive.

I cannot fault the workers but managers terrible took over 5 months to have extension finished! broken promises literally had a builder in every weekday for 5 months instead of sending more workmen was infuriating! Told them I need a fixed price and my limit they assured me they were not the kind of company that charge extras a fixed price is what it should be but no. They were more interested in going to other jobs than finishing the one they started. Calling up wanting more money before the job is even finished! the managers had no idea what had been done I called and asked when was the work going to be done he said its finished!! I didn't even have the floor in it was shocking from start to finish. I agreed to pay the extra for the kitchen but was not informed of other costs until it had been done They left my garden like a builders yard and only sorted that because yet again I had to complain. Requested contract and a breakdown of how the money was used they wouldn't give me one I repeatedly asked and emailed still nothing. I would never use again
