To Whom It May Concern,
I am writing to express my profound dissatisfaction and absolute disappointment regarding my recent experience at Kaplan International Languages Manchester . What was expected to be a professional educational journey was, unfortunately, severely marred by unprofessional behavior, systemic bias, and deeply unethical administrative practices.
First and foremost, I was personally subjected to verbal abuse by an instructor. Such behavior is completely unacceptable in any educational institution and constitutes a clear breach of professional ethics. Furthermore, there was an undeniable environment of racial and religious discrimination within the institution. I observed a distinct and systematic bias against Arab and Muslim students, contrasted with unjustified preferential treatment given to students of other nationalities, such as Swiss and French nationals. This blatant double standard created a marginalizing and unwelcoming atmosphere.
In addition to the hostile environment, the quality of education was significantly compromised. There was a deliberate and systematic obstruction of classroom progression during English lessons, which hindered our academic growth. Moreover, in a highly questionable administrative move, I was abruptly transferred to an irrelevant class that I did not need. It became entirely evident that this sudden transfer was executed without any academic justification, but rather as a deceptive maneuver to avoid criticism from the British Council inspectors during their evaluation visit.
Therefore, due to these severe grievances, my experience at Kaplan has been overwhelmingly negative. This treatment not only contradicts the values that your institution claims to uphold but also undermines the trust placed in your program. Consequently, I demand an immediate, transparent, and thorough investigation into these incidents, as such discriminatory, abusive, and manipulative practices must not be tolerated.
I expect a swift and formal response outlining the disciplinary and corrective actions that will be taken.Today, the 26th of June, I was supposed to be standing in front of my friends and classmates beside that famous wall to give my speech, which I had been so excited to practice for this moment! But director of studies destroyed this dream.

My time at Kaplan Boston was amazing. The teachers were kind, patient, and encouraged me to do my best every day. I improved my English a lot, especially my confidence in speaking. The staff were always helpful, and I met wonderful people from different cultures. Thank you for making my experience in Boston enjoyable and memorable. I highly recommend Kaplan to future students. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

From the beginning, I was very clear about my concerns and how important it was for me to obtain an English Business certificate. Despite this, I was placed in a class that was not appropriate for my objectives.

If the certificate I receive only states that I completed a general English course, then I already have a certificate for that. In that case, I have effectively spent £2,700 without gaining the qualification I specifically enrolled for.

This is very frustrating, as I made my expectations clear from the outset. What is most disappointing is that I even discussed this issue with the person in charge, who assured me that I would receive the Business English certificate.

I do not understand why I would want another general English certificate when I already have one. Had I known this would be the outcome, I would not have enrolled in the course.

I feel misled and am very unhappy with the service provided. I would appreciate an explanation and a resolution to this matter as soon as possible.

The experiences were good and the teachers are responsible for students. Moreover, the activities are fun and can help you make friends.

The school is in a beautiful building in the city centre of Edinburgh. Good for sightseeing around the city and easy to get there with public transport. The student service team is extremely friendly and supportive and make you feel welcome at all times. Also the teachers are doing a great job and make the lessons fun and interactive. Really great experience and totally recommend going to Kaplan.

One of the worst experiences I have ever had in my life. Although the office constantly asked for communication by email regarding every issue, all of my emails about my health situation were completely ignored, and my attendance rate was continuously used as a threat against me.

My extension request was also negatively affected because of the negative feedback I gave about the school. At first, my one-month extension request was accepted, and based on that approval I made accommodation plans and paid for my dormitory in advance. However, after sharing my negative experiences and complaints, the school later rejected my extension request. As a result, all the dormitory payments and living expenses I had arranged went to waste, causing me serious financial difficulties.

Even though I sent many emails explaining the situation, the school continued to ignore my concerns. While studying in a foreign country, instead of offering support, the office only focused on threatening me about my attendance. It became very clear that they could not tolerate negative reviews and, because of that, they were unwilling to help me in any way.

In addition, unlike other students, I was not given the exit exam that was normally provided to everyone else. This made me feel that students were being treated unfairly and differently. Unfortunately, it was a five-month course experience where all of my effort felt wasted.

If you are looking for a school abroad that will not support you or take your problems seriously, then I can definitely recommend Kaplan. However, it seems that you are expected to leave only positive feedback, because any negative comments may eventually be used against you.

Even though I already had a B2 level certificate before joining the course, after completing five months of education I was only able to receive a B1 certificate. Honestly, this is unbelievable. I had already earned my B2 certificate five years ago, so receiving a lower-level certificate after five months of study was extremely disappointing.

I would also like to mention that I hope you can eventually replace the old chairs in your garden area with cleaner and newer ones. The broken chairs in our classrooms should also be thrown away as soon as possible. Considering the amount of money students pay, the level of maintenance and care provided by the school is nowhere near acceptable.

Yes, I am making another negative review. I just hope that this time you will not try to threaten me again because of it.

I'm over 60 years old and, despite having always studied English throughout my life at school, university and private school,in the last 10 years I had to interrupt due to heavy work commitments. Wanting to start again I recently contacted Kaplan. They offered me a month long corse in Dublin ,a location I requested.I found valid interlocutors during the negotiation phase who suggested the appropriate courses after an entry test and a very confortable accomodation.The school has an effective and varied educational offering , with very good and professional teachers.
The only request, where possible is to organize adult courses in Dublin too.I never felt embarrassed , however it could be stimulating to repeat and deepen the experience with people closer to my age.

I had a great experience here in Boston in general. I really like this city, this is really quiet and peaceful. I would recommend it.
At the school, the teachers were so nice to us. The activities were fun and interesting, but sometimes it was a little bit boring, because the classmates weren’t responsive. They were using their phones during class, and even I’m « only » 21 years old, I’m not the « phone generation » so it was disappointing.
But try it for your own experience !

My experience with Kaplan was very positive. My teacher Stephanie was supportive and helpful with students. I especially appreciated the interactive class , which helped me build a confidence and improve my my understanding of difficult topics. I would highly recommend Kaplan to anyone looking for a reliable and effective program.

I have signed and paid deposit for the French courses in Nice, France this summer. And even bought the plane tickets.
Having really bad experience with your office in Bogota - educational adviser Daniel Ardila: 1) didn't show up for our schedule web meeting; 2) sending me email on Spanish with instructions, and I don't speak Spanish - I have impression he is totally unprofessional or mocking on me; 3) previously, was communicating with their representative who made a lot of grammar errors, do they speak English at all if they are dealing with USA customers? 4) they don't have any rep in USA, 5) they are not giving exact deadline or steps to do next, they referring you to Student Portal which is unclear and not prompt by itself. Etc,, - they giving impression being unprofessional or fake/fraudulent or maybe both. At this moment I am questioning are they legit or know, feels like I am dealing with scammers or fraudsters.

I had a great experience at Kaplan. The teachers were friendly and really helped me improve my English, especially my speaking skills. The classes were engaging and well organized, and I met people from all over the world. It was a very positive and motivating environment. I definitely recommend this school!

This is my first one-star review ever done for any product or services. I am not sure if those who attend KAPLAN's training program receive furhter instructions on how to take the exam or not. But if you are only following the website instructions, you are in for a BIG SURPRISE! After spending many hours on reading the website instructions, going through all pre-exam checks one by one and then taking the exam, all you get in return is an INVALID ATTEMPT along with a couple of made-up reasons that where nowhere to find in the website instructions in the first place. Although this exam is cheaper than most but due to misinformation, you end up paying its fee for a couple of times. So, in practice you pay more or less the same as you would have paid for taking more popular English tests. Hence, if you would like to stay away from spending lots of your money, time and effort on an english exam, you definitely can find better and more efficient alternatives

Is very good oportunity to practice and improve your english skills but also oportunity to know people and create conections.

I had a great experience at Kaplan Boston

I had an amazing experience at the Kaplan school in Liverpool, where I spent two weeks. The teachers are very professional, and the student support team is incredibly helpful. There’s a great variety of activities both in and outside the school, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. My English improved significantly in just two weeks, and I feel much more confident now. I would highly recommend this school!

Our experience at Kaplan in Bath took place from 01/03/2026-07/03/2026. The school catered to our needs from the first to the last moments of our stay. Furthermore, the students found the lessons interesting and captivating which included a diversity of activities.

It was amazing. I would recommend this school to anyone wanting to learn English.
