Your coupon code is a bit misleading. I have got like 6 different games the past week and none of them worked with the coupon code. Besides that store was a good experience.

Bought 5-6 keys (Global) from them. All worked except one. I contacted them and their support was as if I'm talking to a bot. I don't recommend them. They will try to gaslight you that you did something wrong while redeeming the key.

Update - To say sorry about me losing out on £5 discount, they gave me £2 to say sorry, then hiked up the price of the game I was going to buy...

Usually, I really like Loaded. I’ve used them many times before, have been a loyal customer for over a decade, and have spent hundreds of pounds on the site, which is why this situation has been so frustrating.

It started when they gave me a discount voucher. I added some items to my basket, went through to checkout, applied the voucher, then proceeded to payment. Before paying, I backed out because I wanted to add more items to my basket.

Unfortunately, simply backing out of the payment stage immediately invalidated the voucher, even though no order had been completed and no payment had been made. In my opinion, that is either a bug or a very poorly designed checkout process. A voucher should not be marked as used unless the order is actually completed, or at the very least it should be released again after an abandoned checkout.

I contacted support, and to their credit, they replied quickly and gave me a new code. Unfortunately, the new code did not work. I told them this, and they asked for a screenshot, which I provided. They then sent me an image showing the code working on their end and asked me to try again.

I explained that I had already tried multiple browsers, multiple devices, and even their own app. They then asked me to clear my cache, despite the fact that using different browsers, my phone’s browser, and the app effectively ruled out a simple cache issue. I suggested it may be linked to a regional issue, account issue, or something else on their system.

After that, they asked me to record a video of myself entering the code, seemingly to prove it was not user error. I did that as well.

I also asked whether they could simply send me a fresh voucher, just in case the replacement code itself was the issue. That request was not acknowledged. Instead, I was asked to wait while they investigated it, and that was two days ago.

This all started on the 23rd, and four days later, there is still no resolution. In that time, one of the games in my basket has increased in price, another has gone out of stock, and the pre-order I was trying to buy, which included 24-hour early access and a free Deluxe Edition upgrade before release, looks likely to pass me by completely.

The most frustrating part is that I actually found the game cheaper elsewhere, but chose to stick with Loaded because I trusted them. Now that option has sold out too.

It’s a shame, because Loaded are usually very good, and I wouldn’t have spent so much money with them over time if I didn’t trust the site. Things do rarely go wrong, but in my experience, when there has been a problem, getting it resolved has often not been a smooth process. This also isn’t the first time I’ve been asked to wait by customer service, only to end up missing out on a sale or deal while the issue remained unresolved.

That’s probably the lesson I’ll take from this. As much as I’ve liked using Loaded over the years, sometimes it may be better to shop around rather than hold out hope that an issue will be fixed before prices change, stock disappears, or a promotion ends.
