Carpetright Limited - Dublin - Leopardstown Reviews 10

Was looking to carpet a house after renovation. Called onto the Carpetright Wexford branch and we chose the carpet. However, as the house was located in Dublin the order was fulfilled out of the Leopardstown branch. Order was placed and fitters booked. All good so far. Carpet arrived with fitters and that's when service changed. The fitters left the place like a snow storm had hit it, installed metal edging under slide doors, stopping them functioning. Called Leopardstown to complain about the state of the house and get the metal removed from under the slide doors. Spoke with the manager David, this proved a waste of time. Was assured he would get back to me, did not. Followed up with other calls, was busy with customers (what was I?) but never heard from the man. Called the Wexford branch and they were helpful, contacted the fitters and he was to call me , did not.
I've allocated 2 stars as my encounters with the Wexford branch was positive but Leopardstown is a waste of time. This would have taken 10 mins to solve the issue with the doors. The clean up of the "snow",took me 2.5 hours, in itself not a cause for a negative trust pilot review but the attitude of the Leopardstown branch changed that.

4 Aug 2024 update. I have heard nothing from Carpetright. So dropping the rating by one star as they promised a follow-up but did not deliver on this.

Really poor experience. The guys were an hour and 45 minutes late to our home, they left all their rubbish including extra bits of carpet that they didn’t use, remnants of carpet all up the stairs and all over the new carpet itself plus a load of saw dust. Couldn’t believe it took four rounds of hoovering for us to be able to actually see what we had paid for. Rang our sales person David to complain and emailed images of the state they left behind and the response was “I’ll ask them to pick up the rubbish tomorrow” and a reluctant apology on behalf of the fitters (no responsibility taken for the fact that they hire the fitters and should ensure a standard is in place) that the mess was left but put some blame on us for not calling when the crew were in. Both my husband and I are working they were late arriving so we had calls scheduled in, is the expectation that we stand and watch them complete their work? I would love to add the photos I had taken to show the chaos they left behind.

I recently had the pleasure of working with Michal at the Leopardsown Carpetright store to have a rug made. From start to finish, the experience was exceptional. Michal paid close attention to my specific requests for the shade and nit edging, and the final product was exactly what I needed. His superb customer service and attention to detail made the entire process a delight. I am absolutely thrilled with my rug and will definitely be back to make more orders in the future.

I really can’t praise Carpetright enough on their customer care , quality carpets and the professionalism of their fitters. My new carpets were delivered and fitted today by two fantastic fitters who went above and beyond . One of the men saw that there was a gap between my wooden floors and tiles ( these have been in my house for the past 10 years, so not part of his job) he went out to the van and got a strip and fitted it for me and so took the gap away, amazing craftsmanship!!
Thanks for giving our home the facelift it greatly deserved .

Wry good experience. Really helpful and pleasant young man called Michael could have not have done better. The fitters were also very accommodating and skilled. Wonderful job.

Absolutely appalling service! Order vinyl off them, they send out completely the wrong vinyl, what sort of company does not have any quality control… To make it even worse, they give me a time between 12-4, the fitter does not arrive till 6:40pm!
Fitters tell me someone from Carpetright leopardstown will call me in the morning and don’t hear anything from them, poorly run store with staff communication issues. Takes another 2 weeks to have the vinyl ordered again.. As a result, have to move back washing machine. Will never be buying anything from Carpetright again.

Very disappointing service have a problem with carpet for the second time carpets seem to be very bad quality nobody follows up on emails or phone calls you have to keep chasing them .wouldn’t recommend buying carpet from them.

Very pleased with the service especially during these difficult times. Loved the carpet and the fitter was extremely nice, did an excellent job plus he was thoughtful about opening doors bearing in mind that we have a dog who would love the opportunity to escape. Would use them again.

Very professional and prompt service during the lockdown restrictions. Clear and easy website to use and good value.

Why am I being asked to review before I've received my carpet? Is that a thing too now?
