So I’ve moved from Fresha to Vagaro, Liam has been extremely helpful with the move and has pretty much held mine and my teams had all the way through. Estera built our website (which is included) and... See more

Absolute joke of a company! Stole my money even after they had closed my account and now refuse to return it! Thieves!
FORMAL CONSUMER COMPLAINT AGAINST VAGARO Misleading Free-Trial Representations, Unauthorized Charges, Refusal to Refund, and Unacceptable Customer Service I am writing this complaint to express my weird disappointment.frustration, and complete loss of trust in Vagaro following what I consider to be one of the most dishonest and unacceptable customer service experiences I have encountered. My wife and I were exploring Vagaro as a potential booking and business management platform for our wellness business, Reach Optimal Health. We entered this process in good faith, believing the information. provided by Vagaro’s sales representative and trusting that the company would honor its promises.
We were explicitly led to believe that we would receive a free trial. Instead, we ended up being charged approximately $80 simply for setting up the account.
Extremely disappointed with Vagaro’s misleading sales practices and terrible customer service. We were promised a free trial but unexpectedly charged approximately $80 before even completing setup. Despite mentioning the recorded sales call, they refused a refund and instead offered another free month. Management was arrogant, dismissive, and unwilling to take responsibility. We feel deceived and completely misled. I strongly caution other business owners against trusting Vagaro’s verbal promises.
⭐ 1 STAR — BEWARE OF VAGARO! A PROMISED FREE TRIAL TURNED INTO A $65 CHARGE, BROKEN PROMISES, AND A COMPLETE LOSS OF TRUST If you’re a small-business owner considering Vagaro, please be extreemly careful they are very unprofessional and just stole $65 from me. I am shocked of how this can still happen this day and age. I will be calling the Better Business B. :( very disappointing
Estera Zainea did an incredible job with my website design, she was great to work with and very understanding. The website turned out 10x better than I could have done without her help and vision
Constant glitches. Terrible Tech support. I have several open tech support tickets currently that have still not been resolved. Now they have this awful Vera AI thing and it's just another way to charge more money. They're great at marketing their software to you but they fall short when it comes to actually having usable software. Honestly just trash all around would not recommend.
Really good when onboarding very helpful. Then it drops. Blame their payment issues to the bank when it's approved on my bank's side. Refusal to actually listen, twisting words, going round in circles. My clients have a hard time booking or even logging in saying wrong password. It also happens to me constantly. Being logged out mid session. Clunky software. But the worst is the dismissal and unhelpfulness. There's a list of issues I can't even begin... I'm going to move to Fresha. Should've done ages ago. Difficult, clunky software and unhelpful customer service if you're an existing customer. They even told me to tell my clients to contact them when they have app issues 🤦🏻♀️ they just want to book a relaxing service!

I have used this software since I started my business and the whole 6 years it’s been touch and go.
My team and I have had issues with payments. And when payment goes down, Vagaro blamed the other company and the other company blamed Vagaro. We went 4 weeks without payment. We received no gratis for the severe inconvenience. This happened a few times.
To add to that, their payroll system crashes more often than someone would like. So to run payroll you have to sit on the phone with them for anywhere from 30 minutes to and hour. Only to say “we’love look into that” for which ‘I’ have to be the one to follow up.
The website builder is meh. It gives early 2000s angelfire vibes. And to get someone to do it for you costs $400. For which I paid. Then I went in and redid it myself.
They now hassle you to use their “connect” app to speak with clients. Which costs money after 500 texts. You can still text from your phone, but are prompted every time you do. And you’re not always informed of when clients reach out on there, so you end up missing out on new clients, or clients running late, etc.
If order for employees to check in, you have to buy their whole setup. $1200, just for employees to clock in. When all they have to do it hit a single button.$1200! And that thing crashes more than one would like as well.
I think when I first started using Vagaro back in 2020, its was decent software. But something happened between then and now to where it’s devolved into a trash bin. Would not recommend to anyone.

Very disappointed with Vagaro’s poor customer service and their inability to resolve issues. We launched a company using their platform and lost customers due to technical issues which were never resolved. They claim to be working on resolving issues but we were still waiting for answers after a year. Would definitely not recommend this platform!

Fraudulent business practices! The booking system is clunky, slow, and awful. Caused us to lose a ton of new business. They also kept pushing a free card reader on us, we took it and it didn’t work at all, kept disconnecting from the system. When we tried to cancel service they charged us $150 for the useless reader. They also told us to wait to cancel because they were going to issue a refund, but that was a just a trick to charge us for another month.
Customer service is god awful, every time we called they said someone would call back and after 5 calls not one call back.

I had a very disappointing experience with Vagaro. I was exploring the platform for my business and clicked on a button for a free trial while looking at their payment machine options. I started entering my information but never completed or submitted the signup process. I backed out and left without finishing, ordering a machine, or intentionally signing up for a paid subscription.
Despite this, I discovered a $35 monthly subscription charge on my credit card. My question is, why was I charged at all? I clicked on a free trial, which should have been free, and I didn't even finish signing up.
As soon as I noticed the charge in my bank account, while it was still pending, I contacted Vagaro that same day to request that it be reversed. They refused to refund me.
I was simply exploring my options to see if Vagaro would be a good fit for my business. After reviewing their flat-rate payment processing fees, including their debit transaction fees, I also realized their pricing wasn't suitable for my business.
What bothers me most is being charged $35 when I clicked on a free trial, never completed the signup process, and contacted them immediately about the pending charge. Their refusal to resolve the issue has completely put me off using their platform.
I would caution other business owners to be careful when exploring Vagaro, even when clicking on something advertised as a free trial.

customer support is nonexistent after you purchase software. They will go out of their way to get you to purchase, then will ghost afterwards. Once your onboarding calls are over, you are on your own. Software is basic, and if you want "premium" features they will nickel and dime every cent out of you. So add about $30 every month to whatever price they advertise.

Vagaro is easy to use and has an excellent team. I was blown away by how much support and care the team provided on the first 3 months . Special thank you to Carl, for guiding me through set up of the system and it’s features and replying to me on emergencies within seconds.

I've been using Vagaro for over a year. It has some genuinely useful features, including loyalty points, memberships and packages. When it works, it works well. Unfortunately, persistent bugs and increasingly frustrating fees have seriously undermined my confidence in the platform.
One of my biggest frustrations is that customers frequently struggle to book appointments using 4G or 5G mobile data. They get stuck on an endless spinning loading screen, sometimes only managing to book after switching to Wi-Fi. This has been an ongoing issue throughout my time with Vagaro. A booking system should make booking easier, not potentially drive customers away.
I've also experienced general slowness and bugs, including forms disappearing completely from customer profiles. These are important customer records, and I expect them to remain accessible. After more than a year, these fundamental issues should have been resolved.
I pay extra for Vagaro's My Site feature because I want my business to have its own website and a straightforward booking experience. Yet Vagaro increasingly pushes customers towards its own app, which raises another concern.
My biggest complaint is the 20% fee on first-time bookings attributed to Vagaro's marketplace. I pay for Instagram adverts to attract customers. I've already spent money reaching people and generating interest in my services. However, if someone discovers my business through my advertising and clicks the Book Now button on my Instagram profile, the booking journey can take them into Vagaro's app, potentially resulting in a marketplace fee.
I've paid to acquire the customer, yet Vagaro can still take 20% simply because of the booking route they've followed. On a £50 appointment, that's £10. On a £75 appointment, it's £15, on top of my advertising costs, room rental and other expenses.
I can understand a fee when Vagaro genuinely introduces a new customer through its marketplace. What I cannot understand is charging the same commission when the customer has been attracted through my own paid marketing. The distinction between marketplace-generated and business-generated bookings needs to be clear, accurate and fair.
Another concern is that customers can identify themselves as new clients during booking. An existing customer could accidentally select the wrong option, potentially resulting in a 20% fee even though my records clearly show they've booked with me before. If Vagaro charges businesses based on customer status, it should verify this against existing records rather than leave the decision entirely to the customer.
To be fair, Vagaro does have good features, and its booking system can work very well. However, these positives don't outweigh the frustration of recurring technical problems and a fee structure that can penalise businesses for customers they've acquired themselves.
Small businesses already pay for advertising, premises, equipment and software subscriptions. We need reliable tools that simplify running our businesses, not additional costs and uncertainty.
After more than a year, I expected better. Vagaro needs to fix its longstanding bugs, improve the mobile booking experience and make marketplace fee attribution fairer and more transparent.
Overall, Vagaro has the foundations of a good platform, but its persistent technical issues and questionable commission practices have significantly damaged my confidence in it. I would struggle to recommend it to small businesses that invest their own money in attracting customers.

I have ran into a situation with using apple products and Vagaro for reports and time of sale of salon to print reports. one cannot use a Mac book or Iphone. it is not user friendly. It will change the card of client to horizontal and doesn't matter how or what you chose. the font tiny and cannot make it large enough without everything getting wonky. It did what it was suppose to do as an app and then it failed me.

Let the buyer beware! Vagaro charged me for 2 add-on services without my request or consent. I discovered the mistake within 24 hours and contacted them immediately. After being put off for several weeks via chat/email, I finally realized their "no refunds" policy apparently worked to hold them blameless and $$ ahead. There was something tricky (to their advantage) about how the charges were implemented in the first place -- a back door approach when I migrated from Schedulicity.
Any company which cannot acknowledge and correct its own mistakes is not one I care to continue doing business with.

This was absolutely one of the worst experiences I have had. I had a very pushy salesman call me I ended up paying $23.99 for three months even though I attempted to cancel it I attempted everything I needed to do to set up this platform I was promised that I would be featured and be available on the front page and therefore I would get a lot more customers than any of their competitors like bookie or any other platform. I made not one book clean no additional customers just money in the hole. I canceled it on the first day of the month finally, after attempting to cancel it and not being able to, I had to speak with someone who walked me through, not only the cancellation process, but the set up process, which I thought I had done, but I didn’t actually do Stay away from these guys. They’re very predatory if you’re busy and you’re working a lot, this is not platform for you it is not easily navigated. Customer support is not available on a regular basis. They’ll tell you they’ll set up these meetings and these opportunities to walk you through everything. They just kind of talk to you during those things. I thought I had done everything the guy told me and that’s not the truth. Exceptionally long story short not worth one penny except maybe the initial one dollar to get started.

I wish I could give 0 stars. I purchased a PayPro duo/dual. It wouldn’t connect to WiFi so I reached out to support. After TWO WEEKS of back of forth, they couldn’t find an issue. After doing more research I realized how bad vagaro has been to others so I told them nvm just let me return this. They call me saying okay well let you return it then email me saying they can’t accept the return. So now I’m out $850 on a POS system that doesn’t even work.
