I purchased a custom backlit decal from SquareDesigns for a special DIY backlit wall-art project, and I’m very happy with how it turned out. We mounted the printed decal onto a clear acrylic sheet and built a custom LED lighting panel behind it. The LED strips were installed in an evenly spaced pattern on white plastic poster paper, to create a smooth, balanced glow. We also used approximately 1.2-inch standoffs to maintain the proper space between the LED panel and front acrylic sheet. The finished piece looks beautiful when illuminated and really brings out the colors and details of the image. SquareDesigns provided the centerpiece for a unique and meaningful project.
