Today’s tech was good because he was able to fix my dishwasher, so i would give him 5 stars. However, he is the 4th technician to come for the issue. The 2nd tech closed out my work order saying it wa... See more

Lonnie did a great job. He was very thorough, professional, skillful, and was very pleasant to work with.
My experience with Sears Home Services today was nothing short of infuriating. I was originally scheduled for a technician to arrive between 3:00 and 5:00 PM. Sears subsequently changed the appointment window to 5:00–7:00 PM and specifically told me they would notify me by 3:00 PM if they were unable to meet that window.
They did not.
Instead, at **6:56 PM—four minutes before the end of the promised service window—I received a text message telling me that, because of their staffing and scheduling problems, they would not be coming and that I could simply reschedule for later in the week.
That is not customer service. That is an absolute disregard for the customer's time.
I arranged my day around Sears' appointment windows and relied on the information Sears provided. Sears repeatedly represented that the technician was scheduled and that I would be notified in advance if the appointment could not be fulfilled. Instead, I was left waiting until virtually the last minute, only to be told that Sears couldn't provide the service after all.
Even worse, there is apparently no meaningful way to speak with a human being about the problem. Customer service is essentially an AI-driven system that provides canned responses, repeats information already available online, and offers no meaningful ability to explain a problem, challenge an obvious failure, or get a responsible person involved. When something goes wrong, you're essentially trapped in a ridiculous automated loop.
The problem isn't simply that a technician was unable to make an appointment. Things happen. The problem is Sears' complete failure to communicate honestly, reliably, and in a timely manner. If Sears knew it lacked the staffing to service the appointment, it should have said so hours earlier—not at 6:56 PM after I had already wasted my evening waiting.
I have absolutely no confidence that another Sears appointment will be honored or that I will receive truthful, reliable information about when—or whether—a technician will actually arrive.
Sears Home Services needs to understand that customers' time has value. If you cannot provide the service during the appointment window you promised, say so promptly. And if you are going to provide customer service, provide access to an actual human being who can take responsibility for resolving problems.
Based on this experience, I would strongly discourage anyone from relying on Sears Home Services for time-sensitive repairs.
Trevor was polite, professional and explained everything he was doing. He was able to answer any of our questions in terms we could understand. We appreciate his time as it was a very hot day.
July 23, 2026, had appointment with Sears repair, appointment pushed to next day. Friday appointment was pushed to Monday, I told rep that’s unacceptable. I was outsourced to a company called DB appliance repair, parts ordered and received on 7/30. Didn’t get the compressor put on until August 11th. It’s August 18th fridge remains warm. Calling Sears and repairman everyday. The repairman won’t answer his phone or call me and Sears tell me a different excuse everyday.
Everything went well, the technician was very thorough in troubleshooting the problem and came up with what was wrong, the part was ordered and a different technician came out to finish the job. Both were very nice and professional and informative.
The technician was knowledgeable and friendly.
John was “ Easy to talk with! “ Very knowledgeable! Our ice maker made ice! I appreciated his professionalism!
Daniel was on time and we had a phenomenal experience. Daniel is the quintessential professional, a repairman of exceptional skill, integrity and character from the moment he arrived kindness, patience and genuine compassion were unmistakable. He took the time to explain carefully, explain everything clearly, and ensure that the repair was completed with outstanding attention to detail. What makes Daniel truly extraordinary is not only the quality of his work , but the quality of the man himself , his honesty , humility and exceptional core values shine through in everything he does. He treats people with dignity and respect and approaches his work with a sincere desire to help not simply to finish a job. Daniel is a rare and treasured professional who inspires complete trust and confidence. Any company would be fortunate to have him representing them. And any customer would be blessed to have him enter their home.He deserves the highest recognition and my whole hearted five star recommendation. God Bless Daniel, his precious family, and his career. Daniel is a remarkable man and should be recognized for who he is and for his expertise.
He was so sweet and sunshiny! Very awesome interaction!
Very prompt, knowledgeable and answers questions. Was there earlier than expected.
The service and prognosis was right on and the fix Joshua made sure all was operating of the GE oven. Highly recommend
Absolutely the worst customer service imaginable. All a.i. bot driven. Confirmed an oven repair twice, only day off. Confirmed twice. No called no showed.
Absolutely the worst service experience we’ve ever encountered. Had to deal with an a.i. bot, could not reach a human. Had an appointment for an oven repair on our only day off. We had two confirmations. The repairman was a no call, no show. No explanation, no call, no text. I’d avoid Sears at all costs. BBB even rates them as the worst!
I had Sears Home Services come out to fix an ice maker. The first tech ordered a part which did not fix the problem. The second tech came out removed the new part and replaced a different part. The third tech came out and removed the second part. The third tech had issues with the work order so wasn't able to refund me for the new part. He told me he would have someone reach out to me. Never heard from anyone. Talked to someone over chat (because its impossible to get a hold of someone over the phone). They keep telling me that they will escalate this to the parts department. Still no phone call. So at this point looks like I will be out the over $500
Knowledgeable and friendly. Fixed the issue.
Charles did an excellent job. He came well prepared and installed the new parts quickly.
