Thank you for your review. We are unable to trace you as a customer so we would ask you to contact us with your real name.We take all feedback seriously and have traced what could be you in an incident at our centre however, it is important that we present the situation accurately.
On the day of training, there was no mechanical fault with the motorcycle. The battery issue occurred because the ignition was repeatedly left on with the engine off, despite clear instruction being given multiple times by the instructor. This was explained and demonstrated during the session, including the consequences of doing so. You confirmed at the time that you understood and had switched the bike off correctly, which unfortunately was not the case.
As part of CBT training, candidates are expected to follow basic operational instructions and take responsibility for their actions. While we fully recognise that learners are still gaining experience, repeated disregard of direct instruction ultimately led to the situation that occurred.
We also note that you acknowledged responsibility and apologised on the day in front of those present. It is therefore disappointing to now see the situation misrepresented as a fault on our part.
That said, we will make a reasonable effort to resolve this by offering to complete the road ride element at no additional training charge. This is a fair compromise given the circumstances and reflects our willingness to support you in completing you CBT.
We remain committed to delivering professional training and expect both instructors and trainees to engage responsibly in that process. Should you wish to proceed, we are happy to arrange a suitable date to complete your training.

I’m writing this review on behalf of my…

I’m writing this review on behalf of my son. He paid on the train to get there 30 miles. When he arrived he did everything needed then when had to do the rode ride the bike’s battery was dead and he was told they can’t bump start it he will have to come back at a later date and pay £99 to finish the training. He’s a young lad with his first job. He now has to have another day of work and loose money from days work and paying them £99 and paying the train again….. I’m absolutely gutted for him. After coming here to put a review and reading the negative reviews it’s all starting to make sense now… I am waiting for there reply and I will be taking this further. I would most definitely avoid this place and your children!!!! Shameful

First Class Training -fully recommend

I had a fantastic day completely my CBT at Bognor. The instructors were friendly and professional. I was a complete beginner aged 59, and very nervous. They quickly made me feel at ease and explained everything we were doing and made sure we mastered each task before moving on to the next. The whole day was amazing and I thoroughly recommend Phoenix.

Avoid!

After spending around 12 hours with Phoenix Motorcycle training, I have not seen a single rider obtain a CBT certificate.
The instructors will even tell you to your face that they "don't just give out certificates". The reason for this is very clear; their £99 continuation fee.
As far as I'm concerned Phoenix motorcycle training is a licence to print money. The instructors will do everything they can to delay the completion of your course, so they can convince you to book another session for the meagre price of £99.
The continuation course however is still no guarantee. In my case, I was forced to start from the first module again, and the three of us trainees were told near completion that it was too late for the road ride, and the instructor had a long journey home and wasn't prepared to stay any later than he wanted to.
I decided from that point to complete my training with ADT. Which I did, and passed with flying colours.
The comparison between Phoenix motorcycle training, and another more reputable school really is night and day.
Imagine being a new rider keen to learn a new skill. Imagine the pressure of two wannabe alpha males shouting and bullying their way across the course, sending people home early, and cajoling others to react to their negative attitudes.
What learners need is positive reinforcement. Patience. Understanding. Respect. Attributes that these two cowboys desperately need to learn.
Avoid this money trap like the plague.
Do yourself a favour and book with ADT. They offer six hours training, plus four extra hours FREE. They're also far more professional and competent.

Waste of money

Passive aggressive through most of the training, comes to the end asks me to call for a continuance as they can’t take me on the road, call up and they claim I was aggressive? £170 just to feel uncomfortable half the time then get told I can’t come back, just book one in Chichester if you’re looking.

Great training school

I really would recommend using Phoenix Motorcycle Training School for any training. They are really helpful in getting you in as soon as possible for training and also your tests. They will inform you about any cancellations that come up and offer them to you if they feel you’re ready. The instructor Mark is very knowledgeable and professional, he will help you pass your test, go over any worries or concerns and provide you tips on how to improve your future riding. Would not hesitate to recommend to anyone. Mark and Carli are a great team.
Passed my A2 upgrade test first time with the help of them both.
