Torremolinos, Spain MBE and Hotel Benalma

MBE asked for a colour copy of my passport to be sent to them before sending my items back that I left at the Hotel Benalma. They then cc’d everyone at the front desk of the hotel (at least four people) the photo of my passport along with my CC info. I’ve had to cancel my CC and order a new one. I’m very concerned about identity theft now. You can’t trust this company to keep your data secure.

Disaster

They packaged a glass fronted painting without proper protection.
Painting arrived damaged and value permanently destroyed.
After much haggling I got some of the costs back to restore the painting but that is a bitter sweet pill when your prized item is damaged forever

Very unprofessional I would avoid like the plague

Please accept our sincere apologies for not meeting the packaging and protection standards that you rightly expected from us.

We’re glad that, after much discussion, we were able to reimburse part of the restoration costs, although we fully recognize that this does not undo the damage to your prized piece. We are taking concrete steps to improve our packaging processes, especially for fragile items like glass-fronted paintings, to ensure this does not happen again.

Lost bag returned

I lost my bag in Alicante airport on the way home from my holiday. I contacted the lost property at the airport once I returned home and they had located my bag. However they wanted to charge me €212 to return this to the UK. After looking online I found that MBE were the cheapest option (€105) and got in touch with them via email. They then contacted me via WhatsApp. I was able to keep in touch with them until they had posted my luggage to the UK. I was then provided with a tracking number so I could track the return via FedEx. It took around 10 days for my luggage to be returned, but it has arrived in one piece and with all items intact. A great service, so thank you very much!
