I had to call the doctor online to let…
I had to call the doctor online to let them know that the GP hadn’t called me back. After an hour, she finally called me, but she didn’t send the prescription to the pharmacy, so I had to call again to get it sorted.

Not happy at all
I went for a consultation and I have been given an antibiotic. It gave me allergy - I informed them as soon as I noticed and I had to wait a whole day for an answer from the same GP who didn't even take notes and was asking me the same two questions she asked during consultation.
The antibiotic she gave me could have given me even stronger side effects, but she didn't know because she didn't ask anything about my family history for example, nor she did a full consultation.
I met another GP online from another platform and that was a proper consultation, this has been just a waste of money and time.

Have to be honest wasn't sure to…
Have to be honest wasn't sure to expect, but when the local GP isn't usually available for 3/4 days and its a bank holiday weekend I said I'd give it a try
As I was up early, great to get an appointment straight away (7.30) and prescription already sent over before pharmacy even opens. Fantastic service, sign of the times, note to self, embrace technology....lol

Inappropriate antibiotic prescription
Unfortunately my experience was not positive. Firstly, my appointment was around 30-40min later than my scheduled time. Secondly I booked the appointment as I was coming down with bacterial tonsillitis and it was the weekend so I did not have access to my regular GP, I wanted to be quick and start antibiotics with the hope to prevent it getting worse. However, the antibiotic I was prescribed was not appropriate for a bacterial throat infection, my symptoms were getting worse even 48hrs after commencing treatment. I had to attend my regular GP who switched my antibiotics to the appropriate ones, but at this point the infection had gotten a lot worse.
It’s frustrating because the online appointment didn’t last more than 1min and cost 45 euro. In the end I had to pay further fees for my regular GP and additional antibiotics.

Great Weekend Support
It was really easy yo get an appointment for our teenage son. He developed strep throat on a Friday and with no GP open until Monday he needed an antibiotic. Now he is doing better by Monday rather than having to wait.
