We rented a truck camper for the long weekend and found the staff at canadream in Halifax polite and friendly. Check in and drop off was relatively smooth. Recommend doing the km math for your planned route as purchasing kilometre packages offered may not be worth the money (.47$ for every km over)

We had a great time travelling in the Canadream RV, despite the rather dismal and cold early Spring weather. The RV was cozy and comfortable for our family of four. We had everything we needed and we got many discounts with our package deal that helped to make the trip more affordable. Canadream staff were friendly and accommodating.

We recently rented an RV from CanaDream in Enfield, and the entire experience was outstanding. From start to finish, the service provided by the team, especially the manager Barry and his staff, was exceptional. They were all incredibly pleasant, knowledgeable, and helpful, making us feel welcomed and well taken care of throughout the process.

Barry went out of his way to ensure that we had all the information we needed for a smooth trip. His team walked us through the features of the RV clearly and patiently, answering all our questions and offering great advice for our journey. Their professionalism and friendliness made a real difference.

The RV itself was in excellent condition—clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. Both the pickup and drop-off processes were smooth and efficient, with no stress or surprises. We also appreciated the transparent pricing and the overall value we received.

If you're planning an RV trip, we highly recommend CanaDream in Enfield. Barry and his team provide a level of customer service that truly sets them apart.

Great experience - we've very much enjoyed our stay in Canada using TCA from CanaDream. The equipment was in very good condition and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Any time again, thanks :-)

People on site: very gentle and nice
Condition of camper: clean & good, except

front sensor not working within

no adaptive cruise control
even no cruise control at all
no emergency front braking system

The fault was clearly indicated in the display but the boss (not present at site) didn't admit it as a fault and asked two technicians to remove the functionalities from the menu. Without success, just losing time and getting closer to sunset.

No excuse, no replacement RV, no compensation offered

Leider hatten wir einen Unfall und mussten die Erfahrung machen, dass die vom Personal geschriebenen Whats-up Meldungen und die Aussagen des Managers bei der Schadensregulierung nicht gewürdigt wurden und man sich nur auf die vielen zwangsweise zu unterzeichneten kleingedruckten Dokumente berufen hat. Fahrwerk und Lenkung sind nicht state of the art der Fahrzeugtechnik. Unfortunately, we had an accident and had to experience that the whats-up messages written by the staff and the manager's statements were not taken into account when settling the damage and they only relied on the many small prints that had to be signed. The chassis and steering are not state of the art in vehicle technology.

perfect and very friendly pick up and return service

We had a great experience with CanaDream. The staff was very nice - both at the pick-up as well as the drop-off station.
The vehicle was in a very good condition and the equipment on the kitchen was great - we had everything that we needed!

We would definitely choose CanaDream again.

We had booked a Saver-2 Camper through a German travel agent and got a 22 ft Deluxe Camper Van at the Halifax location. The equipment (bedlinen, cutlery and crockery etc.) supplied was excellent. One exception: although it was known that we had booked the camper up to October 19th we would have expected, that the staff knowing the climatic conditions at this time of the year additional blankets could have been supplied or at least recommended this. At the specified collection time at Halifax the camper was ready and the fuel tank was completly filled. It would be nice, if a shuttle service could be provided from the accomodation to the CanaDream location. In our case it was a hotel near the Halifax airport.

friendly and competent staff, quick and uncomplicated return, well organized location, unlike Montreal where we took over the RV.

The unpleasant thing was the black water slider that didn't close properly... the rubber gloves saved me. It was a real challenge. I cannot understand why the vehicle is handed over to a customer with this defect. :-(

The RV was well matched to our need. The customer service at check in and checkout what nicely done.

We had some complaints that the toaster and coffee maker count not reach the AC outlets - we had to buy an extension cord. The lawn chair was broken and we needed to replace this (we got our money back).

Great service. We were just surprised that the location site was so far from Halifax.

We had a fairly good RV that let us drive over 6000 km in 30 days. The only issue we had, with one slide out, was solved within 12 hours. But vehicles with 50 000 km become rather noisy while driving. (vibrations)
In summary, we had a good experience.

The process of renting an campervan is fairly stress free. Newer models 2 to 4 years old and in good repair. Would have been five stars but I deducted one because it was super expensive ( especially with any extras and a 3000$ refundable deposit if returned in the same condition). That being said go with the Platinum plus package( drop and go included so no need to worry about cleaning, emptying waste tanks etc, when returning the RV). We would recommend!

Our experience with this company are great mostly because of the people in Halifax who were just great in helping us. The RV received was in great shape (we drove 3800km through rugged terrain without one problem) it was pretty new (48k km) and in great shape. The communication with the main office in Calgary sometimes was a bit difficult, but they always replied promptly. So in general I would say: a great company. 1 point of (positive) criticism: make sure to put down clearly where you have to pay extra for (northern surcharge for example) and give your clients a better start up package. the one provided now is very limited. Other than that: I would highly recommend Candream if you want to explore Canada

Vehicle preparation was poor. They failed to replace the propane tanks with full ones (as promised) so we ran out, typically at a bad time. They also failed to fill the DEF fluid so we had to first learn about it and then get some. They were not sorry and just found enough faults with the vehicle on return to cover the costs of reimbursing. The manager either didn't know what he was talking about or lied to me about the DEF saying it was my responsibility to fill it but I didn't travel far enough for this to be the case (it's like running out of screen wash on day two - it should last longer).

Expect and be prepared for the worst, old style hire company tactics - ie casual pickup ("Don't worry about that scratch" "we don't look at that" etc) but strict pickup ("Scratch here, damage here" "Not clean" etc). Take pictures and video to prove it was existing.

Be clear on the condition to return the vehicle. I expected normal road grime would be ok and this is confirmed in the handbook but the manager insisted it must be spotless (ie pressure washed). The only really dirty area was the wings just behind the front wheels but this is normal for the type of vehicle and roads in Nova Scotia. Like I said probably an easy why to cover costs of their mistakes by charging cleaning fee.

I did cause some damage by grazing a tree and the charges to repair were reasonable. There is free wifi at the site, coffee and toilets. Not their fault but be aware taxi's to and from the site are expensive.

We had a great experience with our truck camper. Everything was clean and in good working condition. NEGATIVE you cannot fully insure your risk with CanaDream. They don’t offer the coverage and nor do they refer you to a partner who will. For that reason I would NOT rent a camper from them if I could not find my own coverage. PS Staff was great.

Really friendly staff. RV was perfekt for our tour.

Good Service at the station in Elmsdale, but the time for the vehicle handover are to late in the daytime and the delivery are too early.
