CanaDream RV - Halifax Reviews 

The unit was clean, the staff excellent, and everything was in order. They should revisit the bike rack policy and allow for E-bikes ona rack (that could be rented from the company) would be my only ask.

The staff were great, both on collection and return - friendly, informative and helpful. They even found us a taxi on our return. The van was clean, worked well and was equipped with what we needed. Great, easy to find, location from the airport. We'll definitely use Canadream again. The only slight issue was that the initial online booking process wasn't as straightforward as I'd have liked - and I had to phone up. I also had to ask for chairs and bedding on arrival that should have been clear from the booking, but didn't show up on the order to local staff. Easy enough to resolve.

We had a wonderful experience renting from CanaDream at their Halifax location. From the orientation process to the return every thing was perfect. These people know what customer service and hospitality is all about.

Our experience with Canada Dream was absolutely excellent from beginning to end!

We had the opportunity to travel with them twice during our trip across Canada: first from Halifax to Toronto in August, and later from Calgary to Vancouver. Both experiences were fantastic, and Canada Dream truly exceeded our expectations.

The service and customer care were impeccable. From the moment we arrived, everything was extremely well organized. The waiting area was clean, comfortable, and beautifully arranged, and the overall attention to detail was impressive.

A special thank you to Tiago, the manager in Halifax, who was incredibly attentive, professional, and helpful throughout our experience. He really went above and beyond to make sure everything went smoothly. One thing that made a huge difference for us was that we were able to leave our car in Halifax for the duration of our trip at no additional cost, which was incredibly helpful and made our journey much easier.

The RV itself was wonderful—clean, comfortable, safe, and in excellent condition. It was truly an amazing way to explore Canada with our family.

I have had experiences with other RV rental companies in the past, and unfortunately, some of them were very disappointing. I won’t mention any names, but Canada Dream was on a completely different level. They genuinely exceeded our expectations in every way.

I highly recommend Canada Dream to anyone planning an RV adventure in Canada. If you have the chance, I especially recommend the Halifax location and the amazing team there. A huge thank you to Tiago and the entire Canada Dream team for making our trip such a memorable experience!

The RV was in a good condition with 88.000km. It had 3 slideouts. One could not be used as it was defect. This was difficult as we were travelling with 4 people and had a lot of luggage and could not access the cupboard in the defect slideout. CanaDream offered recompensation for additional km over the purchased package which was fair from our point of view. The staff was friendly and the RV was really good. We had the MHD Midi Version.

The location of the 'Halifax' office is misleading. Elmsdale is nearly 50km and $100 in a taxi away from Halifax. A pain. Factor it in to your costs.

Check-in was also frustrating. I booked my slot as soon as I was able. I know it was August but the advertised 12 o'clock start became 4:30 because they were so busy. It left us with seriously limited options on Day 1.

Once we got to the vehicle, everything was great. It was very well kitted out. It was in excellent condition and enabled us to have a wonderful time. The support and care around hire and return gave us a great confidence. We would use Canadreams again.

The RV and the service were excellent as always !

Booking was super simple, Montreal pickup booked for 1400, but after call in the morning we could come earlier and everything was dealt without waiting.Instruction videos are very helpful and detailed. Quality of car and camper was 1A, everything worked as it should! A small problem with the fridge on the road was handled very friendly and resolved in an efficient manner (service technician called us to meet at campsite and to fix the problem). Returning the car was even easier. Station staff in Halifax was super friendly. Check of the car was very fair, tiny "traces of use" which were not recorded at pickup, were no big deal, as we documented them on day 2. I just had to fill 10 more liters of Diesel :-) and station manager showed us other models for future holidays, which we for sure will do with CanaDream!

Check in/out process was terrible

The staff was friendly, on-time and knowledgeable about all aspects of the vehicle. The vehicle we originally rented was unavailable due to a last minute accident the day before, and they handled it well and included some extras free of charge to make up for the changes!

The perfect way to travel and explore with no worries of where you are going to sleep. The booking process online was easy. Check in at the Halifax location was easy, we were able to upgrade our package, and upon return, check out was even easier. Drop and go. The CanaDream staff are amazing. They are welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable. The staff actually made us feel like family. This was my second time renting from this location and the experience was even better than the first. We definitely will be back again. Thanks again Barry and Jenny!

he pickup in Halifax went smoothly. We received an almost brand-new and well-equipped Super Van Camper (SVC). After check-in, the friendly staff member gave us a thorough explanation of the camper and all its features.

The vehicle was almost new and was adequately and practically equipped. It took us more than 4,000 km without any problems. The bed with the slide-out was very comfortable.

We have travelled extensively across North America in motorhomes from various rental companies. The CanaDream SVC was by far the best and most comfortable vehicle we have travelled in so far.

Returning the SVC in Halifax was once again extremely efficient and was handled by friendly staff. The second question, after asking whether our trip had gone well, was already: “May I arrange a taxi for you to the airport or downtown?”

We can therefore highly recommend renting a camper from CanaDream Halifax.

When I booked, I was thinking unlimited Km's. But was advised not to,so I thought we selted on 4000, when we picked up I was told our package had 2800. I couldn't seem to find anything on my end. I wish we would have had unlimited. We had to pay for some extra Km's. We were scheduled to pick up at 2:30, was over an hour later, but I had to pay to change my drop off time. But we did have a great vacation, the RV was great.

RV in good condition, friendly staff. Only small point of critic is the timeslot you have to book for the return of vehicle. When check in was possible, only Free time was 8 till 8:30, or pay 75 CAD for a later time

Booking was easy, pick-up & return were easy.
However staff were running late (at both pick-up & drop-off), and were rushed (I heard two staff trying to placate a very dissatisfied client).
And it all factored around BOOKING the pick-up and drop-off times. We we book something we expect it to be ON-TIME.
They were why you get such a low score - sad, because everything else went well. And what it looks like, to me, as a small business owner, is that you are understaffed.
You said to wait for the email one week prior to book your pickup & drop-off times. OK, but I was expecting to have a large range of options. I got to the email the same day (I had to wait until I was on my laptop, as your website is not readable on a smartphone). That's when I was astonished to discover all the "good" slots had been taken! I was left with a LATE PICK-UP slot *and* a VERY EARLY DROP-OFF slot. Thus, both my first day and my last day OF FIVE were drastically cut short! And all because you did not have the staff available AT THE MOST POPULAR TIMES!
I used to be in seniors homecare. What about if I told my clients they could have their morning bath at noon? or they must pay $75 more to have it in the morning?!? What about evening meals attract a $50 supplement if they're wanted after 4pm?!?
No! You *know* when the busy periods are likely to be and you should bring staff in for those periods!

I departed your place at 3.30pm when I wanted to be away by 10am - almost SIX HOURS LATE!
So I then paid $75 to avoid an 8.30am drop-off on my final day - three hours earlier than ideal.

This is wrong! THIS IS NOT WHAT A CUSTOMER-FOCUSED BUSINESS DOES!!!!
You are focusing on your own convenience instead of your customers.
(You probably need a morning team and an afternoon team, who switch shifts each week - but that's your call)

In short, you spoiled my rental experience, not because of your Product - which was excellent, but because of your Service.

Our RV experience with CanaDream was absolutely incredible! The service was excellent—fast, convenient, and very professional from start to finish. The RV unit was new, spotless, extremely comfortable, and had everything we needed for a wonderful trip.
We truly enjoyed every moment of our journey and were very impressed with the quality of the RV and the level of service. We highly recommend CanaDream to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable RV adventure!

Put an instruction video out on line for RV users to familiarize themselves with this rig before arriving. It would be a how to video. Also include some helpful tips for first timers.
