An elderly member of our family fell…

An elderly member of our family fell for a scam this week and sent a large sum of cash via FedEx to the scammer. When he realized he had been scammed, he contacted FedEx immediately. They said the package had not been delivered and they would return it to him. However, later they called him and said they delivered the package anyway. It was everything he had in his checking and savings accounts. I realize the real criminal is the scammer. But FedEx could have prevented the loss by not delivering the package like they promised. I will never give them my business again.
