I responded to an advert to buy two and get two free at a cost of £15.99 each. The price that came up was £63.96. I did not complete the purchase at that price and I received an email from Halogrow
saying that I had not completed the purchase and that they would keep the offer of discount open for me.I decided not to order anything from that site as it seemed either not to be working properly or perhaps was a scam, charging more than the advertised price and I wondered if they would actually send anything. I was contacted by my bank that they had stopped a transaction suspected of being a fraud but found that Halogrow had put through a charge of £63.96. So in spite of acknowledging that I had not completed the order, Halogrow actually processed it anyway and has tried to make a charge
to my credit card without sending an acknowledgement of order.
So I could have been surprised by a delivery with the charge having gone through and would have had to try to sort that out. Would you want to find yourself in that position?
I emailed Halogrow to point out their error and they replied asking if I wanted to modify the order or cancel it. I replied to cancel but then they responded that it was too late to stop it and that they would refund the money if I returned the package. That would be ok if they were to pay for the return but they have not given an undertaking to pay for the return. I have told them that I will refuse to accept the delivery.
I do have doubts about whether they would refund the price, and I wonder if processing transactions that have not actually been completed is a tactic to get you to accept the product anyway. I will contact the bank again and I will suggest that they block all transactions from Halogrow.
The response to this reviw from Helogrowis the same standard wording they seem to use for everyone.
As abive in my review, I have had much correspondence with them, about eleven emails and replies. They have had plenty of oportunity to resolve the matter if they ever intended to. They just seem to tey to get away with their dubious business practices.
I will be reporting them to Action Fraud UK when their site is back running and I have already reported them to Trading Standards.

The product seems good and I hope it’s working - my hair does seem the better for it but I’m not sure how much thicker it is. What I dislike is the somewhat aggressive tone in the marketing emails which I do find off putting. The latest offer looks good value.

Was going to order this product but thanks to Trustpilot and all the 1 star reviews I have changed my mind and saved being scammed. I now feel that nearly all the 4/5 star reviews are false just to get people to order the product and get scammed.

Experience was great until the end when I wanted to purchase. I don't like navigating through pages of extra ads asking me to buy other things when I'm just trying to get to the check out. I embed up ordering too many bottles without a way to edit the order at the end.
