Great to have a local swimming again staff are friendly it's very clean and and not too bad on pricing
Clean Sauna
I thought I'd share a strange experience I had in the sauna a few weeks ago, since I asked other sauna users if they had the same experience and they didn't.
I was in the middle of my sauna session alone when the duty manager told me that he is turning off the sauna. I asked why and he said because when staff came to clean it at 2.30 it will be a bit too hot for them. I asked him what about the service I've paid for, to which he turned around briskly in exasperation.
I understand that they clean the sauna from 2.30 to 3.00 pm. May I suggest that they shut the sauna facilities from 2 - 3 so that it cools enough for staff to clean and not expect that paying customers who use the sauna for medicinal purposes or otherwise and need a particular temperature are TOLD that the sauna heat will be turned off WHILE they are using it.
1. Antidiscrimination training
2. Sensitivity to customers' needs
3. Basic business sense- give customers the service they have paid for.
Great leisure centre
Great leisure centre. Family friendly with good facilities. Efficient and helpful staff. Really nice place to visit and stay fit. 🙂
Good experience
I visited the centre at Moulton in Northampton. I was served by
Polite, knowledgeable and very pleasant staff. The pool was clean and warm. The changing area was a little worn probably due to wear and tear. Overall I had a good experience.
Longstanding member cant get help in emergency
I felt unwell today after using the sauna, so asked front staff to call the emergency number on my account which is my husband's number.. 'Sorry i can't find it' she said. I then asked her to check my husband's account for his number. ' Sorry i cannot find it' was the reply again. One second later, 'oh i found it but sorry the phone is ringing'. I then saw a young member of staff Callum leaving, who is a friend who could help by dropping by my home to ask my husband to collect me. The reply from another member of staff who just entered the reception area ' Callum does not drive.' What does Callum driving have to do with anything? What does it take to get help here?' I exclaimed. When i complained to the duty manager Mr. Blackman, two staff members denied my account. My husband asked to verify if all phone numbers were on file as expected. The duty manager confirmed that they were so. Staff were unhelpful...couldn't care less.....antidiscrimination training needed. More than 20 years membership, I've asked for help twice.
Kudos to Zain , swimming instructor in Solihull
Zain is always helpful, encouraging and a brilliant teacher

Simply Awful - Customer Service and Management
I had a membership at the London Aquatics Centre operated by Everyone Active, and overall the experience has been very disappointing.
The main issue is the constant closure of the pools due to events. This isn’t occasional disruption - it’s frequent and recurring. For example, both the competition pool and training pool were closed to paying members for several consecutive days in April 2026 and this included showers and changing rooms if you were using the gym and wanted to wash afterwards. Similar closures appear regularly throughout the year based on their own published schedules.
At times, this means you’re effectively paying for a swimming membership but have no access to any meaningful swimming facilities.
When access is restricted, the “solution” offered is to use other centres, but these are often miles away (e.g. Abbey Wood or West London), which is not a realistic alternative for most people in Stratford.
On top of that, there have been basic maintenance issues - including toilets without seats for an extended period (1 year) - which reflects poorly on the overall standard of the facility.
The most frustrating part has been the lack of response and extremely poor customer service standard. I raised a formal complaint and received no reply, and when I followed up in person I was simply brushed off.
Given the price and reputation of this venue, I expected a much higher standard of service and communication. Instead, it feels like members are paying full price for a service that is regularly unavailable.
I have since cancelled my membership and am now having to escalate the issue further.
Would not recommend unless you’re happy with very inconsistent access to the core facilities.
Moulton leisure centre
Modern clean premises, very helpful staff. The gym was full of equipment that could be used by all abilities.
The pool was brilliant , not too cold and easy to get in and out of. The changing rooms were clean and easily navigated and the locker system easy to use.
Swim lessons
Completed crash course with Noah - brilliant and highly recommend.
Weekly Swim lessons well organised and daughter enjoys going.
The gym has recently been refurbished…
The gym has recently been refurbished and looks great aesthetically, but in practice it’s probably less functional than before. The space for stretching isn’t very good—the green flooring is quite harsh on your legs and any part of the body that touches it, which makes stretching uncomfortable. It also seems to be missing some basic equipment you would normally expect in a standard gym, such as a spin bike and a proper pull-up bar.

We attend swimming lessons in an evening and privately.
All staff from walking in the door are so lovely, warm and welcoming. They are all willing to help and so good with the children.
Lessons are fantastic! The group lessons all children get there own time on their own and within the group.
We have a very challenging little girl at times and both teachers have been fab with her. We started attending a private lesson every other week to build her confidence and she has come on leaps and bounds. Her regular teacher wasn’t in once and we had a cover teacher and my heart sank but another teacher on poolside supported us and told us about her cover teacher, so that my little girl would feel more settled and it worked.
I can’t recommend them enough for all they have done. They even managed to get both the girls on the same day which was a big help as I’m a night shift worker.
Big thank you to all the staff within the centre.
My daughter was attendng swimming…
My daughter was attendng swimming lessons in Kirkby for some time but for the last year or so made no progress. I complained 3 times over a month period and was repeatedly told teacher or manager would be in touch. When I finally got to speak to the manager she lied and said my daughter had compleated stages that she hadn't. we now have lessons at lambas leisure centre where she is making great progress.
Love the availability of different facilities
This is a good leisure centre with access to gym, fitness classes including yoga and pilates and swimming. Works well for my needs and the quiet times also work perfectly with my personal schedule.
Poor swimming facilities
Poor swimming facilities. Only two shower cubicles with doors, two others have doors removed and others are out of order. Can’t have a decent shower after swim as the que for the two cubicles is too long. Please can we have the doors fixed? The facility is generally unclean. So many reviews here always points out to poor hygiene, management acknowledges but no action.
The main swimming pool is way too cold
The main swimming pool is way too cold. It made what should have been a pleasurable experience into a horrible one. We were literally shivering the whole time, will not be returning!
Lovely Sports Complex
Lovely Sports Complex. First time we used it as we don't live in Scarborough. Clean. Staff were extremely welcoming and very helpful. Will definitely take our grandchildren again. Best Swimming pool I've been in.

I decided to try out the gym at this specific location, but I ultimately cancelled my membership, along with my other friends'. The gym itself is good, with the right amount of equipment, especially for beginners; however, it is busy, and ultimately, I cancelled my membership because the floor is poorly managed, especially during peak times. Personal trainers often occupy several machines or stations for a single client, block equipment with water bottles, iPads, keys ect.. and do not return equipment properly, which I have had to move after they have finished. This makes it difficult for paying members to work out. After dealing with this repeatedly, I decided to leave.
