Buy tools literally anywhere else

I purchased a rivet gun off if them. It was faulty, and has broken twice. When it was within their warranty time they told me to just send it to Makita (the manufacturer) for repair. It still didn't work properly and broke again and they have refused to refund me even though I'm well within my statutory rights to receive a full refund of faulty and defective products. They asked me to send it to Germany so they could send it to repair themselves and now they are expecting me to pay import VAT of over £130 to get it back
