Avoid this company for pallated goods!
Ordered an upright display freezer from the dreaded Adexa (if only I’d read the reviews first…!).
Bartrums rang me on the 8th may to arrange the delivery. This was arranged for the 15th. On the 11th the same lady calls me to arrange another palleted delivery. From the same company. Very strange as I’d only ordered one thing and she agreed! But, she insisted there was two! They asked to bring them together, great.
The 15th rolls around and one palleted item is delivered. An upright display fridge on its side, no straps,damaged packaging and clear instructions on box to be kept upright. I refused delivery and it was sent back.
On the 18th I get a call from a Bartrums driver telling me they are at the gate and need to drop in a delivery. News to me. They were let in by my son as I wasn’t there as wasn’t expecting them.
On arrival home they have left me a display fridge…the exact same one as the one I’d sent back! I knew this I had thankfully is taken photos of the original one for my own records (I recorded all the calls too thankfully). All they had done was return it, stuck it on a pallet upright and strapped it. Then dumped it back on me.
However when I rang Bartrums to enquire they confirmed that the one i had not signed for was on its way back to Wales. When I pointed out that was impossible as this was the very same one they clammed up completely and refused to talk to me further as I “wasn’t the customer”.
So bartrums have either made a monumental muck up and won’t admit it, they are great at scamming or have told me bare faced lies and won’t own upx or are just a complete farce? Either way their customer care is non existent and I’ll certainly make sure consignments from now are delivered by someone reputable. You’ll be coming back to collect it soon so perhaps an apology will given then?
