It's always a pleasure to order from Abakhan and the treasure trove of all things fabric, haberdashery and craft which live in Abakhan's Cave.

This time was no exception and the materials and pattern arrived speedily and were first rate (as always) and lived up to expectations.

It's worth noting too that the colour reproduction on this website is excellent, so you know what you think you are ordering is exactly what will arrive.

We visited the Preston store today whilst in the area. The staff were disinterested and not helpful. One member of staff in particular was very rude and when I asked for clarification on a price she said she didn't know as she hadn't looked... I found the whole experience uncomfortable, disappointing and definitely not the usual friendly, sewing community feel. Some of the fabrics may be a good price but that's worth nothing when the service and attitude of staff is so bad.

I have been buying fabric from Abakhan for a while and you always get great service, quality and value for money. I wanted some jumbo bath sheets but couldn’t get any if I bought them. So I searched Abakhan and they had Terry towelling which is perfect. So I bought 4 metres and made 2 beautifully sized bath sheets. The quality of the cotton towelling is exceptional. It washes well and tumble dries to perfection. I would thoroughly recommend Abakhan for offering such wonderful choices of fabrics, quality and service.

Don't buy online e-gift cards, if the items you want are out of stock you will never get to spend it. I have been trying to order wool for 8 months to no avail, it never comes back into stock and I have had to go into the store myself to buy the wool with cash. I feel like my niece has been ripped off for £30 as she bought the gift card for Xmas for me. Total waste of her money. Contacted by email multiple times with no reply!

I love shopping at Abakhan and can spend over an hour in the Liverpool shop. At the moment, I can't visit due to caring duties. I still browse the website regularly and was very pleased with my recent order of Hallowe'en fabrics. (It's never too early!) The quality is always good and they are priced competitively. It has meant that I can get on with sewing whilst caring for my mum 24/7. It is easy to order and the delivery is fairly quick.

Fabric arrived in good time and well packaged. I was nervous about the quality - no need, really geat! Super colour and weight.

Thank you so much again to Ru, a member if staff, at Manchester who found my phone today and kept it safe until I came back in a panic hoping it was still there and it was. Ru had put it behind the counter. So relieved.

Abakan online customer service is appalling. You cannot speak to them by phone or online chat when things go wrong and if you email them you get little, if any, response. I tried to order some fabric online on the evening of 22nd July 26 but the payment wouldn't go through. I tried 3 times with 2 different cards and in the end I had no idea whether any of my orders had gone through - which has completely stressed me out! I have been trying to get them to reply to my query all day but I still haven't received clarification.

Excellent Aran Yarn at good price - I was a bit disappointed at the shade of the Victorian Rose - it is a bit drab, but I suppose that's what you get for buying online.Quick Delivery

great fabric, quick dispatch

I placed an order on 1st June with a 3-5 day delivery and have not received the goods, I emailed customer enquires 4 days ago and have had a receipt of email but nothing else. There aren't any numbers to ring to query this, I am very disappointed.
I also have another order placed 10th June and paid for a 2-3day delivery and again have heard nothing. I am commenting on here in response the email asking me to review my order!

No reply from customer service email for a week, unable to call to check on status of my order as no phone number !
Rang all the stores to see if they could help …

I tried to give feedback via their customer service address: it was very quickly bounced because they didn't know who I was. This despite having set up an account for the purpose of making a very small order. I tried to tell them that over ten days to deliver was not impressive and I might not try them again. The goods were exactly what I was looking for.

I buy a lot of craft fabric mainly in-store. But online to when what I need isn't in stock at the Bolton store. It's comes well packaged and delivery is prompt. The staff in-store are always happy to help and give advice too. My girls love to buy knitting and crocheting supplies there too. Always leave happy with the experience and products.

Lovely Blue faced Leicester wool which arrived speedily by my favourite carrier, Royal Mail. Thank you.
